Good experience, great data points, helpful in identifying issues and debugging.
What do you like best about the product?
End-to-end tracing which pans across Frontend and Backend. To be able to identify 1 request through FE Web or Mobile app to gateway to downstream service gives a complete idea that what is going on.
What do you dislike about the product?
For web observability SDK, while the platform provides great insights like breakdown of latency's and tcp/ip handshake latency and other vitals, it misses out on giving a clear picture to identify total latency observed by the end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned earlier, the end-to-end tracing for a request is a great help also Mobile and Website monitoring are great to see what is going on a user session level.

it is very easy to find the information of my apis and to plug instana in them

I believe that the time to receive information from .net applications could be better

near real-time application logging & monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
it integrates with my php application using its library and as promised, it does give an alert within 3 second of incident occurence. works really great when there is need to integrate the system with other tools like prometheus.
What do you dislike about the product?
setup could have been a bit more easier compare to other software / alternatives. this may provide it more close to core access and thus more capability but avid programmer would generally aware this much installation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it provides the best in class incident reporting latency, in an instant one can capture the source of failure. this may be not general need but for someone who has few projects that deals with realtime micro transaction processing, then even 1 second can be proven ballistic if not handled in mean time.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool has good UI for integarting your systems and receive alerts in faster space or almost real time. it also help to analyse API calls and based on data or reports you can improve API performance.

It has integration issues where we face delay while integrating few aws services.

This tool helped us to observe application performs and few other cloud service components based on diffrent parameters. That helped us to improve SLA for our services

Documentation is something where IBM to work more. easy iniital stage tutorial will be very helpful for easy understanding.

What do you like best about the product?
The most advanced monitoring system is used. Instana will give excellent insight into how well an application is performing during runtime. We receive different dashboards that represent each of the thresholds that are monitored by our systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data is erased or roughly estimated as per the data retention policy after a few weeks. Direct connections with third-party service providers like Grafana are greatly desired.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instana helps to identify and track down the issue that is causing performance to decline with the aid of this platform. Real-time monitoring and prompt notifications for problems are provided.

What do you like best about the product?
A practical and smooth way to check micro-services, we can keep an eye on our infra.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its update and os patch create hurdles; we face issues in a load test. It also causes slowness in the node where the application is hosted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Agent installs in node consume CPU, and most of the time, when too many request CPU spikes, we have observed. We have compare without Instana; our load test result improved compared to the baseline.
