What do you like best about the product?
It's a great PLM platform with a deep integration into several business areas. Pretty good integrations to authoring tools such as NX, E-CAD and other.
We use Change Management and Configuration Management acc. to CMII - the OOTB feature to follow an aerospace and defense implementation of CMII need to be updated deeply.

What do you dislike about the product?
the current state of using deployment center as tools to install, update or upgrade TC is not stable nor sufficient in features.
Several instabilities in UI driven environment configuration in TC2412.0005 with DC4.3 and repeating problems deploying these setups let us build up an own solution to automatically deploy our daily CI/CD approach.
feature wise there is a lack of commiting changes in dc-config to our central git-repository where we handle all changes to our environments and code-base.

Storing all documents, linking to parts. handling all design data and incorporate this within the central change management into ebom management.

Getting started in a new Environment
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very simple, workflow creation made easy and single point of contact for all information
What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple windows next to each other sometimes make it hard to keep the overview. The individual windows sometimes become very small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting to be the single point of contact for engineering. In addition it should ease up showing configured products.

I like the possibility to manage master data in it. And the possibility to export master data to ERP. It is easy to create and update data.

The possibilities to interface to non Siemens tools are limited.

It is keeping track of our components and modules and changes to these.

Capabilities in Rich client is not yet available in AWC difficult migrate users from Rich client to AWC
