Useful tool with a bit of a learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
It's nice to be able to schedule social media posts for the future. Everything has posted on time as scheduled with no issues there.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's annoying that links don't show up as links when scheduling for Facebook if you also include an image with the post. Had to just post and hope for the best -- luckily, it became a link upon posting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves me from having to be in social media apps all the time. Great to just set and forget my scheduling.

Meltwater has been a boost for our Communications

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has helped us consolidate our social media and PR efforts into one space so that our teams can work together more cohesively and share information easier. It also has provided our social media team (who uses it most) with useful tools that they didn't have before, which have helped boost our engagement, increase our audience, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a couple tools, especially in social media, that are missing that could add a huge boost. One of them is allowing the posting of FB reels. Also, we are hoping that more additions to the platform down the road will help grow the analytics system to become a bit more detailed and robust, such as separating data between paid and organic more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us see our PR and social media efforts in one place so that we can better compare strategies and tactics with consistent data and information. It also provides insights and tools our team didn't have before. Being a one-person social media team, the ease of use, especially publishing posts, helps provide more bandwidth to complete other tasks within my job and allows for more strategic planning time.

Very helpful and responsive account managers

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having social media and traditional media analysis in one location. The account managers are great and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
TV Eyes is a process to save video clips. Wish there was a full preview of an article that is behind paywalls to get an idea of the content. Sometimes pulling reports can be confusing. Can be a bit confusing to run searches and takes a minute to get the hang of things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving us a better picture of our overall media presence in both traditional and social medias.

Meltwater Review by Thomas Rich of EarthCam

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create segmented lists that include more then just beats, but what media professionals are writing about. Also the capabilities of the metrics to look back at all prior years of media placement. The inclusion of newswire, advanced search functions, csv upload of lists are all great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unsubscribes arent immediately taken off of lists that are being reused. Routinely have to use the browser app to include article mentions, better scrubbing would be nice. more in depth editing of lists after creating. Direct instant messaging function to converse with potential media would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves how we do our direct outreach to the media.

Comprehensive Team of One Software

What do you like best about the product?
The folks I have met at Meltwater while onboarding the tool have been an amazing part of my experience. I enjoy that the platform allows for media tracking, content and trend tracking, reporter contact sourcing and reporting all in one.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, the words used to describe each feature can be confusing as they are propietary and each comms shop uses language interchangeably, IE the difference between reporting and dashboarding and tracking. But once through just a few tutorials, very simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps our nonprofit to be able to track what is being said in the local community so that we can both respond and advise our partners accordingly as the community connector and convener.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features from Meltwater is a daily email straight to your inbox that tracks your keyword searches in the news and on social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will say Meltwater updates the interface a few times per year and it can be challenging to keep up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They help us keep up with what's going on online.

Meltwater - the beginners manual to media outreach and data

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is a great tool for measuring sentiment from articles and media mentions. Meltwater is great for creating email campaings for press releases. Pitch lists can be easily made for mass outreach
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater is not user friendly in an already published article you self find and would like to see reach and sentiment. The search function on Meltwater to easily find out how articles are performing can be tricky and not very user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps with pitch lists and sending out press releases about new product launches, new store openings, and other storytelling for Crumbl and the brad as a whole

What do you like best about the product?
The regular updates regarding our social media and media mentions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't always use the dashboard, therefore, I sometimes need to reacclimate myself to it when I need to use it. Customer support is always helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater allows me to start each day with a snapshot of all social media and press mentions, links to all mentions, and the reach of each.
