Great resource for my job
What do you like best about the product?
I love the reporting but most importantly, the media contact lists and outreach capability through the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
When uploading your own CSV list of contacts, the system requires the spreadsheet to meet certain criteria. Sometimes, I find that I don't have all the information it asks for, which can make the process difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate receiving the daily mentions report, as it has helped me discover items I might have otherwise missed.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the Meltwater's core capabilities, especially with Explore and Analyze, as well as the scale and breadth of media content it pulls from. Having access to mCommunity is also really helpful, and I enjoy discovering new features as well as how other users leverage the tool. It's also great to have our own client success rep who we can contact whenever questions arise. Lastly, it's been awesome to explore using Mira Studio through our free trial - I love skipping the Boolean and getting quick answers to key questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
My knowledge gap with using Boolean logic. Needing to use Boolean to filter out irrelevant results from my searches (i.e., mentions from other brands that share the same company name as the brand I'm searching for) has been a struggle. I often don't know why certain news articles aren't populating for my searches. I also don't love the lag time for when some content shows up on the platform. Other small nitpicks include: not being able to filter results by duplicates, not being able to edit the titles of Tags, and the inaccuracies associated with the way the tool measures sentiment. Lastly, Meltwater's sales tactics can feel a bit forceful at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is helping us with brand/reputation management for several clients. The tool also gives us a pulse on the discourse surrounding various topics our clients are interested in - across news and social media.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater makes it easy to manage and schedule all your social content from a single platform, which helps improve efficiency. Additionally, it enables you to monitor media coverage, review your results, and make adjustments as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduling platform does have a few limitations. I hope that, over time, these issues will be resolved as improvements are made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater makes it easy for me to schedule all my social content across different platforms, which creates efficiencies and frees up more time for me to focus on developing new engaging content and analyzing results.
Meltwater is a wonderful tool for media mentions and newsletter creation.
What do you like best about the product?
A big upside is the interface. It's very easy to find everything I need, and if I have trouble finding it, their assistant tools are very intuitive. The customer support team is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

There isn't really anything I can think of! I love the tool for our organizational uses.

Meltwater makes it really easy to track our media mentions and to create an internal newsletter to send out to our communications partners across the university.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can fairly quickly and easily see the last 20+ articles a reporter has worked on. That's really helpful for quickly assessing whether they would be likely to cover our news or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't been using Meltwater for too long yet, so I can't speak too strongly to anything not working. It still takes a lot of time to build a media list, but I don't have any ideas for making this a faster process.

It helps us build media lists for media pitching. This would be difficult to do otherwise.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using the Meltwater tool as long as I can remember because it's easy and intuitive. Yet it's not the same old tool I started with, as they continue to add features and functionality. It's clear they listen to their customers, because they add features that make sense and make it easier to do our jobs. Their customer support is the best - they are always there when I need them, they nudge me when they know I need to see something new, but they never pester me with meaningless outreach. In short, I love not just the tool but the team at Meltwater!
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike about Meltwater. That said, it's a rich tool with many capabilities, so make sure to take advantage of the training they offer.

Meltwater is an invaluable tool for media monitoring and social listening ... understanding the conversations about your brand and your competitors.
Too many similar modules (analyze, monitor, measure, report) make interface confusing

A great alternative to the disappointing big players
What do you like best about the product?
It's an incredibly robust platform that allows you to manage all social accounts across multiple brands (which is key for agency work).
Love the reporting functionality which is a major piece of its competitive advantage.

While the approval system is awesome for social media teams, the "Alerts" function is a bit clunky as it forces you into a new slow loading tab every time you click on one.

As cheesy as it sounds, it really is a one-stop-shop for social media management and content creation.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is very easy to use and always reliable, regardless of what function you are using within. The upside is that it's always up to date and super easy to find what you need. at TRI we use the media relations and search functions a lot and I must say, the AI assistant is one of my favorite tools to use, especially when you aren't sure where to start for a search. Meltwater is always my go-to tool for crafting a search, creating alerts, and looking for reporters!
What do you dislike about the product?
I must say the Mira AI function has not been as helpful as I thought it would be. Sometimes you will ask for one thing and it gives you another, and has not been very consistent when trying to use it for help. Personally, I really like the AI assistant over the Mira function, so would say that's the thing I dislike the most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is helping me solve and avoid doing manual searches by being able to create alerts for our clients on things we need to keep tabs on. It's also helping me solve building media lists and making that easier to start out when i can search for any beat, outlet, or reporter that is covering a specific topic. Overall just makes my job easier to support the clients we work with and is a big life and time saver!
