Effective Media Monitoring with Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
I like receiving notifications in the email about where we appeared in the media during the day or week. This is useful because many times I can see news or events in the region that I didn't know had taken place, which is important for the internal control of Market and Communications. It has also helped me detect not-so-positive news about us on a couple of occasions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they could expand a little the media in which the searches appear. Sometimes, I have found a couple of media that are not there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Meltwater to monitor the media and find out what is being said about our company and the competition. The tool allows us to measure the share of voice, which helps to assess our presence and positioning, as well as to plan strategies to improve our visibility in the media.
Intuitive Platform that Simplifies Social Listening
What do you like best about the product?
I like your platform, I think it is simple, easy to use, and I believe it is a tool that has been modernizing and incorporating everything related to trends to also simplify the listening processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the topic of creating queries could be improved, to make listening more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for social listening and to follow trends and brand mentions. Meltwater helps me stay alert to many media sources and alerts about brand mentions that need attention.
Excellent Tools and Facilities for Media Reporting

I really like the facilities and gadgets they give me while doing media reports

Meltwater is helping me gather all the media data that it´s difficult to find by myself.
Engage Module Needs Major Improvements and Better Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
The app design is fine. However, I'm not completely satisfied with Meltwater.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Engage module is bad. It should facilitate moderation and automate moderation tasks. The documentation on social media integration is incorrect. Using Engage causes the app to crash. There's a lack of AI in the workflows.

Reliable Information, Needs Improvement in Usability
What do you like best about the product?
I like the reliability of Meltwater and the type of information it delivers, as well as how it presents it. For my clients, it is recognized for its participation in important studies, and when we deliver reports assembled based on the tool, we mention it as a reliable source. The value lies in the correct delivery of data, which reassures me because I know the tool provides me with reliable information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many times, I have to search multiple times to be sure that the information is correct. Once, with a client, it happened that Meltwater gave us a piece of data that was not correct. So it's a tool that needs to be studied to be managed better. Also, the initial setup was not so easy because we had to look at it from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to monitor social networks and prepare strategies, which helps me analyze information and deliver reports based on reliable data.
Complete Integration with Excellent Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the Meltwater platform is quite extensive. I really appreciate their good support and assistance service, as it makes the learning curve shorter and allows us to explore more possibilities and scopes it has. Additionally, it allows us to review the entire digital ecosystem on a single platform, facilitating searches and collections, which is very useful for being able to report on our efforts and strategies with media.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that was problematic for us was the relationship with KNEWIN as part of the package. Their coverage of print and traditional media was far below expectations, and we had to cancel that part and hire another provider, increasing the originally considered costs. It would have been great if the traditional media aspect had also been achieved, but that part of the tool was not up to par.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to review digital media on a single platform, which makes it easier to search and collect mentions and reports, helping to monitor the reputation of our brands.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface and the generated reports feature of Meltwater. I like how clean the design is; it's easy to navigate and find things. The generated reports feature makes my work more efficient. I can find mentions of our institution in minutes versus the hours it took before, scouring the internet and documenting articles, all under some amount of stress. The initial setup was very easy, and we had a lot of support.
What do you dislike about the product?
N/A, all features have been a blessing.

Meltwater centralizes online mentions of our institution, saving the stress of monitoring multiple outlets. It streamlines our work, making it more efficient by finding mentions in minutes instead of hours, aided by its clean design and easy-to-navigate interface.
Game-Changing Community and Time-Saving AI Features
What do you like best about the product?
The Community and Academy are a game-changer for Meltwater. Being able to chat with people in PR and share knowledge, is invaluable.
The new AI feature set embedded in the platform is already proving to be a big time saver. Support is great too.

The search can be a little complicated if you don't use the AI features.

Media monitoring and social listening - gives us an automated overview in real-time of the brand.
Powerful PR Reporting Tool with Customizable Searches
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to use Meltwater, along with the customizability of its booleans. Their new AI tools help create searches effectively, and I appreciate the ability to pull in sources beyond just web searches to get a comprehensive view of a company's coverage. This makes it much easier for us to tailor our searches to specific needs and explore niches that would otherwise be hard to find. The support team is also very helpful with setting up searches if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
As Meltwater is partially built on a web scraper, it does occasionally scrape irrelevant data from articles, for example, from 'related article' sections or other areas of the page, causing data quality issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater for automated PR reports, getting a comprehensive view of client and competitor coverage across the web, which would be impossible manually. Its ease of use, customizable searches, and AI tools help tailor searches to specific needs and gather data from all sources.
Empowers Media Reporting with Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Meltwater provides regular alerts that make it easier for me to access my saved searches and notifications. This feature makes it easy to track citations. It also has a solid tool for finding reporters when I want to do media outreach. The initial setup of Meltwater was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the video clipping service to be a little clunky. I wish it would cite the original publishers of news stories first rather than republishers, like MSN instead of the original ones like Bloomberg or The Washington Post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me report to the board on our media impact, showing which media outlets cite us and how. It also assists in building media lists and sharing info with reporters.
