Wow. Flexible, Robust, Timely.
What do you like best about the product?
The staff communication and support has been fantastic. The software helps us identify fine-tuned trends in engagement from multiple use cases. We use the software to send newsletters to hundreds of people every Monday morning. Startup was a long process due to the number of queries we had but the Meltwater staff threw all their energy at it and we had a ton of support. We had to be creative when integrating it into our workflow but the Meltwater team supported our vision and is continually helping us improve our reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be a bit steep but there are great guides available and the interface is very intuitive. The system is so good that it makes it "sensitive." If you are not careful about your boolean and keywording, you might pick up irrelevant information. However, this is not a fault of Meltwater's system. It's something the user has to work on identifying and addressing over time. If I say "shoes," I have to be ready to specify, otherwise every use of "shoes" will come up in my search. It's kind of fun to hone in on the boolean and keywords I need to find what I am looking for but I could see some folks getting frustrated with picking up "noise."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are helping our clients understand how social listening software can better help them communicate with their constituents.
Meltwater is a vital resource for earned media
What do you like best about the product?
I like Meltwater's Explore function. It helps me keep a pulse on key topics and how they're being covered across the media landscape. Our client success manager is also extremly helpful and always available to help us utilize the platorm to its fullest.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any features that I dislike. All of the platform's features are helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Direct access to information on media outlets and journalists.

The weakness in being able to listen to other social platforms like TikTok.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to monitor brand conversations and alerts of potential crises. In addition to finding the share of voice.
Great One-Stop-Shop for PR Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we are able to set up custom news alerts, sent right to our inboxes. It's nice to have the ability to send pitches to journalists, send press releases and schedule social media posts all within the same platform. The support of the Meltwater team has been fantastic - anytime anyone has issues on our team, the Meltwater team has been quick to respond!
What do you dislike about the product?
While I like the ability to schedule social media posts to various platforms all within the same account, we do run into issues with some of the functionality from time to time. It usually resolves itself, but when I need to schedule something quickly, it can pose issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater gives us access to thousands of journalists who are looking for stories and may be interested in writing about our solutions. We also use Meltwater to manage our social media scheduling of content.
Very Powerful Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is mission critical for keeping tabs on our brand. We love the ability to track trends and keep track of what competitors are doing, and the benchmarking capabilities. The platform has so many tools, but it's the work of our account manager and her support that has taken this platform to a whole new level. We had been paying for the base platform for years, but with our account manager's help setting up searches based on our needs, we use this every day. The platform is easier to use when you use it more often, and implementation has been a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't love having to pay separate for an API integration that allows our data and analytics team connect directly to the platform. The database of reporters could be a little bit more robust, but it is sufficient for our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps us keep track of media mentions for our brand and the brands of companies we work directly with helping us provide better customer service. It allows us to track media mentions and story trends. It also allows us to track our competitors and understand what they are driving in the news.

It's easy to find new influencers, and to explore.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is not always possible to get TikTok content, even by adding it manually.
The ER that is calculated per post should be with the Engagement/Reach formula of the post * 100, they have it calculated with total followers. (or maybe add the option to visualize it this other way)
Performance seen on the platform often does not match the IG report provided by the influencers (the official report created by Meta), especially with the stories.
When an influencer has an active “hide like account” they do not read the Engagement well.

streamline the process

It gives us a useful tool to have a complete overview of the influencer profile.
Meltwater is a super easy platform to use and provides us with authentic results.
What do you like best about the product?
I love working with Meltwater, the personal creation of Listening, and in the case of Klear, the clarity of searching for information, results, and advancing in campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
When demographic data is missing, the data is not updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the case of Klear, the demographics of TikTok that are not available, some data from monitors provide us with a preview, not all the information of the profile we select. It benefits us when working on bids and delivering quarterly summaries to clients.

sometimes issues cant be corrected even if helped by the team, could connect an influencer at all and needed her kpis

it helps me pick which influencers goes according with brands and helps me decide if based on their kpis it is a good investment

I like the customer support and the easy ways to make reports and search data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes do not let me filter very well the influencers by Puerto Rico region. When i get the emails for recommendations, all the recommendations are for countries that I dont look for. So I would prefered to recieve recommendations based on my searches. On the other hand, on several occasions the updating of content engagement is quite slow on the Instagram and Tiktok platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
customer support, helped me to find some profiles that not have too much followers. In this case helped me to completed te report with all the profiles that i need.

Every so often the platform has issues and the data cannot be displayed.
