So far, so good!

What do you like best about the product?
Reports are compiled effortlessly and I can export everything into an excel doc rather than copying information over manually as I had been doing previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a few media mentions that were missed but we have been working on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking social media mentions as well as mentions in traditional media. We also send out our press releases through this platform
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Our contacts have been super helpful and I got to test out the platform before we actually signed on. My contact is always super quick to respond and has been helpful - she even came in early on a Friday morning for a conference call.

High priced disappointment

What do you like best about the product?
For media monitoring, the search capabilities are useful, but a little tricky to configure. Our account rep was helpful, generally available and responsive to our needs to the extent that the tool would support our requirements. The dashboards are visually appealing and easy to configure.
The media database is quite extensive (although it lacked some of the media contacts within the technology vertical we serve, so we had to maintain a second subscription to technology focused media database). You can add media contacts that you find on your own to extend the database and provide a central location for all of your contacts and communications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is often unaccessible or down when you need to use it. Searches can take a long time to execute. Tagging of articles is buggy - you have to check to make sure the article was actually tagged because it doesn't always work. There is no way to hide an article from your search feed. There is no way to manually add articles that don't appear in the Meltwater database. The reporting features look pretty, but aren't functional, ie. pie charts and line graphs don't show total number of hits. You have to manually create reports if you want to communicate actual number of hits and don't want Meltwater's brand and account contacts to appear all over the reports you provide to clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had been using several paid tools and manual processes to identify relevant media contacts and track news coverage for our clients. We subscribed to Meltwater to identify a broader base of relevant media contacts, as well as eliminate some of the time consuming and manual processes we were using to track earned media coverage for our clients. Despite paying more for Meltwater services, no benefits were gained over our previous tools and processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask for an extended trial period before purchasing (or a money back guarantee) and really test the tool to make sure it meets your needs in terms of functionality and uptime. Also read the contract carefully. Our contract included a requirement for renewal notification 2 months before the end of the contract. Since we have told them we will not be renewing, we were "accidentally" shut out of our account with 2 paid months remaining on the contract.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up, Radarly gives quickly an overview of what is said on social media and on the web in general, in a single dashboard.
Perfect to assess trends, measure changes compared to previous periods or identify key opinion leaders.
The new functionalities regularly added is also a good point, showing a strong technical roadmap.
The assistance provided by customer service, always reactive and useful, is greatly appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of transparency regarding which sources are monitored or not. There is not list user-accessible online. We need to ask the Linkfluence team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a communication agency, we need consumers insights to identify what is already mainstream and what is new, in order to recommend actions and “fresh ideas” that made us more creative and others.
We also use Radarly to monitor PR campaigns and market competitors.

Radarly is the most complete tool on the market. It can reach deep research levels. Its interface is simple, intuitive and modern. It makes possible to access the whole social media streams in real time and therefore to monitor important topics through keywords.
Radarly makes possible to monitor engagement in different communities, to do international social media monitoring in multiple languages, to interact with customers, to create dashboards for every topics, as well as automate and optimize reporting to save a big amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like for the number of authorized dashboards to be superior to what it is now.

We have to analyse brands’ online reputation. Radarly can identify weak and strong signals on these issues internationally and on various topics: communication, marketing, technics…
Therefore we can analyse all posts and get in touch with influencers.
Moreover, Radarly offers competitive analysis and helps us to define our positioning compared to competitors’ communication. We can also identify influencers to contact them later.

What do you like best about the product?
Radarly has an easy-to-use and well-designed interface. The new version offers to build reports in an easy and fast way. I really appreciate that I can access on a single platform every sources that are talking about specific topics. It is a powerful solution that provides me with clear metrics and massive data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sentiment analysis is not always accurate in Radarly. An update would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to monitor the reputation of our corporate brand and of our product brands. Radarly allowed us to access every comments about our brands and to identify key consumers and influencers. Therefore, we were able to launch an efficient real-time marketing campaign engaging with Twitter users through funny Badoit GIFs.

powerful tool for a better monitoring of our communication

  • March 17, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Radarly is a powerful software with great features which give the opportunity to monitor the social web.
Thanks to real-time monitoring we found publications and articles about UTC we did not know of. We also discovered that some startups were talking about us. Thus, through community monitoring we found very interesting scientific publications for our university.
Moreover, Linkfluence sends us alerts anytime in the week (even during weekends on our phones) if very important events occur on social media.
Another very practical point: the influencer feature that allows us to know what communities and what people are saying about us.

Furthermore Radarly saves us considerable time:
-Regarding the community management through programming tweets so that the university remains active on social networks even on weekends.
-Exportation of Radarly data in PPT and graphics which provides esthetic and comprehensive reports
What do you dislike about the product?
An improvement of the web review feature would be great to be able to handle specific group items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to know more about the impact of our communication actions and about our influencers. Radarly not only made possible to address these issues, it also made possible for us to go deeper by understanding and exploring our digital environment.

We leveraged on Radarly to help managers understand the impact of communication campaigns by delivering key insights and metrics, therefore strengthening strategic decisions.

Meltwater for social insights

  • March 16, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Social media profiling is very helpful when we are looking to track an individual's engagement with our social accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard is very slow. Reports are not always customizable. Insights are limited in some ways and I often have to check several sources outside of Meltwater to get the performance metrics that I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social listening, engagement measurement, campaign tracking. We use the campaign hashtag tracking tool and social media profiles, but the other tools are not intuitive enough to be helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at Meltwater if you are looking for a social profiling solution, otherwise there are more intuitive products on the market.

Great for monitoring your brand

  • March 09, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to find articles and monitor keyword terms to stay updated on what is being said about my company in the news. I've used several tools in my career and rank Meltwater at the top of the list. The daily emails are great too so I can easily share what is being said or covered with others at my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Constant changes to the UI and platform make it very difficult to continue comparing Y/Y results. Every time the platform changes I need to update how I gather data. The new U/I for mNews is more complex than the old one, which in my opinion worked great and didn't need an update!

I also wish you could sign more people up for the automatic emails. I do spend quite a bit of time each day forwarding emails to others, and if they were automatically included I would save time and not have lapses in news monitoring when I was on vacation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better monitoring and control of our messaging and staying on top of coverage in closer to real time.

Longtime, Happy Customer of Sysomos Expion

  • March 08, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the freedom it gives me to post to FB/Twitter/G+ individual store locations, or to multiple locations from a single post. The posting feature can also be quickly replicated for re-posting content over time, which is a big benefit when you have so many businesses to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a hard time collecting reviews from Google My Business pages, as they are not as cleanly integrated as Facebook and their reviews. A cleaner integration with Google My Business would really help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of managing the reputation and content publishing needs of multiple stores/rooftops with a single portal instead of a multitude of accounts for stores and platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc. The biggest benefit is the scalability as more locations can be easily managed without added frustration or wastage of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare the speed at which daily tasks are managed thru Expion versus other platforms. If you have 100+ locations, I doubt anything is faster and easier.
