Meltwater makes my job so much easier.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Meltwater has the ability to send out emails to multiple recipients at once without having them all CC'd and how it makes finding reporter emails so much easier for me. I also like that we get reports twice a day that let us know where our clients were mentioned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are glitches in the system that make it hard to send emails or find people's contact info, but that can happen on any platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to reach the right reporters and publications for our clients and Meltwater helps us find the right people and publications to reach out to. It also has made pitching easier since we can email so many reporters at once.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great platform that has helped my whole company do their jobs more efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
Provides comprehensive synopsis of media coverage in an easy-to-use format.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not cover social media integration well and the simple interface sometimes is too simple, making elements like content reach, and other pertinent details, hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool is very helpful for tracking media coverage and my teams use it on a daily basis to do so.
Good service - comprehensive analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the customer service team. They go above and beyond when offering to help create reports answer questions using the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the qualitative analytics, like sentiment, were not always accurate and not able to be edited. The tools, while intuitive, still often had to have a manual review to make sure things were being exported correctly. We had to delete many rows after exporting mentions that actually did not apply.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a comprehensive tracking website. It integrates social really well.
There are better social listening options...
What do you like best about the product?
It's definitely very easy to use - just about anyone could figure out how to run a quick report.
What do you dislike about the product?
It capabilities are very restricted and the interface seems like a 1990's website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get asked to quantify brand/campaign awareness and I do that through social analytics programs such as Sysomos.

I would choose a different product.

What do you like best about the product?
The real time insights are great for social listening and monitoring for our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
NA - i find it really user friendly and helpful

making sure we are keeping a pulse on what people are saying about out clients

good to compare to other services based on your client's needs, however, this one is great for social listening with Twitter

What do you like best about the product?
I love that meltwater sends me an email every day so I can see exactly what is being said about my company in the media, in real time. Also, the reps are great about getting us what we need in a short timeframe.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost/lack of discounts. Wish there was a more affordable option, but you DO get what you pay for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to track media mentions and target specific reporters/regions with press releases.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Meltwater is to navigate and build lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, there were some contacts that I had in a previous PR platform that were not in Meltwater. I also missed having an "influencer" ranking that gave that added info on a writer or media outlet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to build lists and see who would be a good fit to pitch to.

I would ask a lot of questions before signing the contract. It would be wise to make sure it provides what you need.
Meltwater for media and news monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple layout and easy to use, while still serving its purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be great to be able to better customize the newsletter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media and news monitoring and management (list building) on a limited budget.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Meltwater is a good budget-friendly option for media monitoring
O.K. but not great

I like that Meltwater has historical data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that they have send limits and charge for overages and that their platform is a little to basic.

I haven't benefited much from the service.
