Comprehensive media coverage for any media that are online

What do you like best about the product?
Good manager with Meghan Hauser. Easy to use. Love daily reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like access to print coverage with PDFs of articles. They should not limit the number of companies to monitor; particularly with the high price point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media monitoring for clients. I enjoy getting the daily emails that can be shared with clients.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to use and good at identifying new press contacts. If there are any questions, our account representative, Dylan Yang has been wonderful about addressing them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The old version versus the new version and the different services can get confusing. Maybe they can consolidate some services and remove older ones that have taken on a new form. However if there any questions, the Meltwater team has been helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without a PR firm for Furnished Quarters, we are solving the issue of getting our name out there with press releases and journalist outreach.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is the most comprehensive systems I have ever used. I've used Meltwater in two different workplaces and have always had a good experience. Not only is the monitoring service complete and easy to tailor to specific needs, the customer service also excels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the system can seem a bit overwhelming when attempting to pull up various reports, especially if they are complex. However, as I mentioned above, customer service is excellent and fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Meltwater at my current position to monitor our industry in the press. This helps us to keep abreast of what the media is saying, and also helps us to measure our success when sending out press releases.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility for twitter of being able to see streams for 10-15 institutional handles at the same time curated to personal needs (for example, only mentions and retweets) is extremely useful for staying on top of social engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it was easier to find tweets by third party handles that mention my organization without specifically tagging our handle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have dramatically improved our ability to monitor comments to multiple handles that receive a high volume of engagement. We are also able to schedule social media content to go out in advance which makes weekend scheduling easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly useful to monitor the streams of multiple channels and institutional accounts.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Meltwater is easy to use and has a lot of search options.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are WAY too many publications that don't appear. And a lot of the outlets are not up to date and give you the wrong people to contact. Very frustrating!!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to create media lists and do outreach to media. this is helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
Daily coverage email reports, media database, media coverage reports
What do you dislike about the product?
Search feature on media database is not the most intuitive. Could use some tweaks to make it more user focused in presentation. When you select certain options, it doesn't populate results but doesn't clearly state what the search issue is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not enough man power to really comb through coverage. Great way to have media coverage sent straight to your inbox.

What do you like best about the product?
The new platform has a better way to search for both influencers and for news releases. I like the new platform because I don't have to pick a country when looking for an editor.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support documents need to be detailed. When I was searching on how to find my lists it was a bit of a struggle to figure out using the help documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving utilizing my time to scrub editor lists. The main benefit I have found is when I do find an editor I can now see some history that is associated with what beats he covered and what publications he/she has worked with in the past. Again, freeing up my time.

Easy to Use, Great Data

What do you like best about the product?
I use Meltwater to gain insight on media contacts and it's great. I can find contact info, which they say gets combed often to ensure someone opts in to having their info within their system. I have made several good press contacts and found the initial information with their tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although they say you can email out from their tool and it looks like you are emailing from your personal email address, it's not the case. There are footer links, including an unsubscribe link, so it's pretty obvious to media (anyone really) that they are part of a mass email. I don't email from the system... and I don't think mass emails are are good idea anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's not easy connecting with people and finding relevant contact info is even harder. Meltwater does a great job a getting it. And if there is someone you'd like to contact but Meltwater does not have them in their system, you can make a request and they'll get it for you. As stated earlier, Meltwater benefits me in that I have connected with important people more easily.

Sysomos

What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Sysomos for not quite a year now, and it has been an improvement for us over some of the other tools we've tried in the past. The range of data that it provide has been invaluable for us in evaluating campaign and strategy effectiveness in social. Our clients love how granular we can get with the data, and appreciate being able to perform Share of Voice and other competitive comparisons.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system can sometimes be a bit less than intuitive, and frequently seems to take a long time to process data and spit out results. We've also run into a few funky graphic issues when exporting reports to PDFs, but it's not clear whether the problem is with Sysomos or the fact that we're on OSX.

Also, one of the features I loved the most - the built-in screenshot tool - seems to be no longer supported for the Firefox browser. It was very handy when pulling screenshots. I miss it and hope that the extension gets fixed soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sysomos has really brought a new level of robustness to our measurement and metrics capabilities. It's helping us refine our social strategies and tactics, as well as enabling better reporting to clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you spend time really learning the system, and figuring out how to use some of the more advanced features.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the daily media monitoring emails, but they are not comprehensive. It's best for social media as it pulls any mention, whether it's tagged with @ or #, or nothing at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Contacts are not comprehensive, and many simply have the general email address, which I could pull up without having a service. Another contingent of people have their personal emails listed, and I've had multiple people get a bit irritated we used those, and wondered how we got them.
