User-friendly tool with wide range of functionality and capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create custom categories for content authors to analyse specific audience groups online. The range of boolean search functions can really help create custom author bios which filter specific audiences. The analysis I then create is far more reliable and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current range of content available through an advanced search can be limited and there seems to be an overlap between the "narrative" and "sentiment" output tabs. Ideally there would be better dashboards available in this that provide interesting insights to help guide data analysis and future searches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within our industry, it can be difficult to identify content developed by and the online behaviours of specific niche audiences. Meltwater allows me to use custom categories/bios to generate detailed audience bios (across countries and languages) to then search for data and analyse. The ability to redirect to user tweets through the platform is very useful as it can give context to the content they engaged with or created.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that the Meltwater team take on board feedback for product improvements.

It's really easy to schedule posts across multiple platforms and duplicate old posts - I use it every day.

The support team are really responsive and fast at resolving issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit slow to upload videos (not an issue only with Meltwater but most social scheduling software)

You get occasional errors with posting although this is usually an issue with an asset or a need to clear your cache.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need a tool to easily schedule organic social content to multiple platforms and report on their results.

We also needed a tool to manage our PR efforts - sending out communications, finding suitable media contacts.

Easy to use, constant improvement and many tools in one

Media lists are not always accuarte and not all coverage is picked up (but this could be a site blocking this not a meltwater issue)

Some of the information is repetitive, but makes it easy to retain

Meltwater helps with marketing, email, press releases, the AI component saves time and gets imperative information to team members fast and easy

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is a useful tool in my day to day work. I like how you can tailor the search to virtually any topic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think certain metrics are inflated on Meltwater, for example PR reach. Sometimes results are crowded by bot activity. I also think the platform can take a long time to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me determine how activations and campaigns are performing by providing me helpful metrics like mentions, engagements, and sentiment. This benefits me because oftentimes I’m not on site at client activations and would not otherwise know how the event is being received.

What do you like best about the product?
The best things about Meltwater is the customer service. If you need help developing reports or with analytics, they are ready to help right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations on building media lists as far as how many contacts you can include.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is constantly evolving to provide new and innovative ways to present and analyze media coverage. This makes it very easy to report and present success and trends in media coverage.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Meltwater’s media monitoring capabilities incredibly useful, as it provides transparency into what people are saying about us across various platforms. This feature allows us to measure our competitors effectively and helps in shaping our marketing strategy. I especially appreciate how all the data is readily available, making it easy to download or share, which is crucial for efficient decision-making. Additionally, Meltwater assists in managing our social media content and helps us get ahead of industry trends, enhancing our overall market understanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
I experience small glitches within the Engage module of Meltwater, which has prompted me to engage with their support team for solutions. The software tends to crash after periods of inactivity, disrupting my workflow, especially when I'm in the middle of assembling a social post, tagging, or formatting images. Additionally, I'm unable to export PDFs from the dashboards in the Measure section, which limits my ability to share insights efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to manage social media content, understand our industry trends, and monitor brand perception. It aids in media monitoring, competitor analysis across platforms, and supports our marketing strategy with accessible data.
