Been using the platform for years!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the daily tracking emails so I can stay on top of my clients in the news, user functionality, dashboards and the influencer tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard functionality is a little time consuming to set up. For our large clients, it is a challenge to weed out the irrelevant mentions that pop up. Also, ads are pulled into our coverage when we are just trying to find earned media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to monitor the conversation around our Clients. Good to compile impressions and see sentiment. Also, we use it for a media database tool for our outreach.

Great for lists and customer service

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is great for compiling lists, and we've had a great experience with our contact in NY.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't include the New York Times in the media monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to grow the recognition of an international company in the US market. We've found Meltwater is a great way of monitoring how well we're achieving this goal.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has been a wonderful partner. They are quick to respond, and comprehensive and detailed with the answers. Also, It is wonderful working with Patrick Regan. The Islands Of The Bahamas ( BMOT) could not have asked for a better team. When Patrick was not available we always has someone else from Meltwater on hand to work closely with us. Maureen Essien is also great. Our Meltwater package includes many variables for a good value.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolutely nothing. In the beginning we had some kinks to work out but we were new clients. Patrick knew that he was challenged and he kept resending until we approved and it all worked out. It is getting better and better,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One year ago we had a scattered media data base. Through meltwater's assistance we have been able to build on that. Also it is important that we see what the media is posting about the Bahamas on a daily basis so now we have access to the Executive alerts and to take it up a notch through a meeting today we will see what the media is saying about some of our competitors and then we can target those influencers to come to The Bahamas. The reports from the wire services are also valuable.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the media lists and directory (all those functions are awesome) and the outreach tool! LOVE IT -- Also really love the pretty reports you put together for client news mentions and etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to make the outreach tool exactly like the OLD platform -- IT was so easy -- why did you have to update it -- I actually really dislike the new update, you lost the tool to insert a reporters last and first name -- THIS sucked, revert it back to the old platform, the outreach tool that is!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving not having someone to do mundane and small tasks that suck a ton of time but are necessary aka media tracking and media contact finding. It great to have access to a database and all these awesome tools associated with the platform!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please switch the outreach tool to make it like the old platform -- I HIGHLY recommend this -- I loved some of the functions of the old model you did not carry over.

Comprehensive monitoring system lacking bells and whistles

What do you like best about the product?
I most like the monitoring capabilities and email alert system the platform offers us to keep track of coverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The metrics are unreliable and the Influencer system/tool is not competitive with Gorkana's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our attorneys want to know when they and their clients are being mentioned; we use Meltwater primarily for that purpose.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ease of navigating the software. In addition their service has been terrific, and we've recently added unique reports that are highly valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had to work dilligently to ensure we're capture the right media alerts and data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The analytics and data are invaluable for our leadership.

What do you like best about the product?
We utilize the media monitoring tool and we like the way that common news stories (AP story pickups, for example) are grouped together. We also think the search for articles is very thorough in its results.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything that I can recommend here

Increased need for media monitoring and reporting to various levels throughout our organization at varying times.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater News doesn't overwhelm you with all kinds of pseudo-features that you won't use. It's got an simple and intuitive interface; it provides access to a robust range of international news sources; and you can set up and adjust parameters to your news agents easily. If you have questions or need help setting up your news agents, your designated account rep jumps in and provides hands-on support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of much that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product helps people working in various business lines of my company stay informed on new developments in their discipline. It helps new staff get up to speed on our industry. It helps support corporate issues management. I've also used the news it brings to my attention for customer communications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give the trial a whirl and see if it meets your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
-Streamlines social media operation.
-Improves social media customer service.
-Offers delegation opportunities.

-Provides integration of all media related operations (traditional monitoring, social media, etc.)
-Robust and accessible analytics.

-Some missing functionality, specifically on the social side, like following users from within in the messages feed, or full integration with native platforms.
-Prohibitive cost for expansion of users across organization.

-We now have a better sense of who is talking about us in real time and can react accordingly.
-We're now able to have better data to influence our strategy and overall decision making.
-Our processes have been optimized as the platform has offered new efficiencies and better operation/communication.

Review of Meltwater Product Software

What do you like best about the product?
When I send out press releases I'm able to see which contact actually opened the email and how long they looked at it. I also like the ability to search for different media contacts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the media contacts aren't always the most useful or up-to-date. For example, I've had numerous experiences where I'm searching for a contact and the only email on file is info@ or tips@, and those aren't very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, as an association we have some diverse needs. Meltwater is most helpful when I'm putting together a press list in a specific area of the country -- a list that I would only use once -- and don't have time to do individual research on reporters. Instead I can just search for them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Meltwater is an up-and-coming software that has a lot of potential. It continues to improve, and overall is a useful tool.
