Essential media operations and monitoring software

What do you like best about the product?
Has been an absolute gamechanger for pitching to journalists, reviewing engagement rates, and monitoring relevant output. Push feature is easy to use, implementation has been fine as well, and we use it near daily. Integration with email has been fine too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Media monitoring took some time to get used to but overall would still recommend. Big fan of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pushing pitches. Streamlining and giving us good data.

What do you like best about the product?
The AI features are awesome. I find new ways to use them every day and love that they can create in-depth searches for me – saves me so much time and brain power!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not the most user-friendly. As with any robust software, there's a steep learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking for reporters in certain geographic areas with niched interests. I don't have to scour newspapers. I can simply have Meltwater make me a Boolean search and grab my favorites from there.

What do you like best about the product?
What is most helpful is obtaining all the data in the same format with the add on of qualitative information that supports it.
What do you dislike about the product?
For us in Puerto Rico is that we do not have access to monitor broadcast and radio through the platform. This requires for us to monitor manually or pay an outside vendor to do so. The other downsize is that you need to authenticate Facebook and Instagram accounts and add the handles you want to monitor. It would be really great if the platform could get access just with one account and no need to include pages and handles to monitor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is facilitating our time by capturing all the media information in one place. Previously we had to gather the information by looking up in the internet and estimating data based on previous knowledge. Now we have a platform that provides the data and for our clients this provides a better understanding and accurate results.

Our newsletter daily and weekly often have duplicates.

Intuitive, Detailed Platform

What do you like best about the product?
It's an incredibly intuitive, productive and detailed platform. It's helpful in tracking a broad swath of coverage across different platforms, and the team has been both very nice and extremely helpful in onboarding and continuing use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backend of the platform is still a challenging, but I don't have much for productive feedback on how to make it better. It's one of the best products like it on the market, but using it could certainly, as always, be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform continues to help us expand our monitoring reach, learning what the sentiment is across different platforms and audiences. It's providing real time updates when we need it, and offering an intuitive, unique way to look at data and insights.

What do you like best about the product?
It's super helpful that Meltwater has a variety of tools so we can keep all our social media software under one roof! Meltwater also has lovely customer support, responding in just a couple hours!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really not anything I dislike, necessarily. There are some opportunities for new features across platforms, but that's any software!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is solving the problem of having to schedule all social media on native platforms. This benefits me by saving time across platforms so I only have to focus on one.

I love that all PR correspondence is in one place, as well as monitoring and insights of journalists and their work.

The usability is a little tricky until you get the hang of it.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create custom categories for content authors to analyse specific audience groups online. The range of boolean search functions can really help create custom author bios which filter specific audiences. The analysis I then create is far more reliable and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current range of content available through an advanced search can be limited and there seems to be an overlap between the "narrative" and "sentiment" output tabs. Ideally there would be better dashboards available in this that provide interesting insights to help guide data analysis and future searches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within our industry, it can be difficult to identify content developed by and the online behaviours of specific niche audiences. Meltwater allows me to use custom categories/bios to generate detailed audience bios (across countries and languages) to then search for data and analyse. The ability to redirect to user tweets through the platform is very useful as it can give context to the content they engaged with or created.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that the Meltwater team take on board feedback for product improvements.

It's really easy to schedule posts across multiple platforms and duplicate old posts - I use it every day.

The support team are really responsive and fast at resolving issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit slow to upload videos (not an issue only with Meltwater but most social scheduling software)

You get occasional errors with posting although this is usually an issue with an asset or a need to clear your cache.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need a tool to easily schedule organic social content to multiple platforms and report on their results.

We also needed a tool to manage our PR efforts - sending out communications, finding suitable media contacts.

Media lists are not always accuarte and not all coverage is picked up (but this could be a site blocking this not a meltwater issue)
