Very useful and insightful platform

The depth & breadth of info - esp local

Lack of time & bandwidth in our org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Google Alerts does not catch all the news that is generated by our programs, members and clients that we serve. Meltwater does - on social and traditional mediums.

Contact info for the resources are up to date. large database.
What do you dislike about the product?
some of the functions are not as clear as some of the database was not easy to locate

sending out media release and get the most current contact info for media outlets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will need at least a team of four to monitor and use meltwater.
It's is still early in my experience so haven't explored all the possibilities.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to search media and email release quickly.

Nothing yet. Would like to know more how to set up reports and adjust daily reports.

Getting information out to media quickly. Seeing the open rates to gauge interest is helpful.

Excellent service from the team (Ray). Very responsive when looking for help and or insights re: results

Challenging to navigate the tools so that I have confidence that I have captured full data in query.

Tracking of coverage for our organization in traditional media (print/broadcast/radio) in all markets across Canada.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
have a 'healthy' support package. It is tough to navigate and you will need to access Meltwater team frequently in order to have confidence inthe analytics you are receiving

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity. I began using the new system and within a few tries/uses I was able to feel confident distributing our information to local small-town reporters/papers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Meltwater is slow to respond to requests to new system fixes unless it's time to re-up the contract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distribution to the media and media research.

Great especially for small town publications/influencers.

Ease of use for sending media pitches with the added bonus of mail merge.
What do you dislike about the product?
New Meltwater platform has a lot of bugs/quirks that for the time being require workarounds. For example, uploading individual media lists does not have space for "outlet." Instead we list the outlet under country.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Newsletter distribution, media monitoring and media engagement. Meltwater centralizes all these tasks in a newly designed platform for ease.

The app experience is seamless. I like how the influencer data base refinement tools allow you to get very granular with who you are seeking to find.
What do you dislike about the product?
The duplicates feature was a bit hard to navigate and sometimes means missing an outlet that the client cares about because higher impression volume is shown as primary result.
Results in other languages are not translated via the app or within the dashboard, another click is required to understand the headline and its relevance.

Monitoring client names. We are able to be more efficient and react more quickly by having meltwater's software.

Easy to pull together daily newsletters and keep track of incoming coverage

Difficult to navigate reporting and pull reports individually

Track current and past media coverage; track key messages; track quarterly key stats
The best for listening and managing media and networks
What do you like best about the product?
The social media platform is incredible, it has worked for me with the reports. The measurement of time in the work of people in customer service is perfect sometimes. The tracking of tags through messages has helped to work on all the problems that have occurred with the application. Listening to users and the media has allowed us to save from several crises.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I cannot go further in the forms of response like gifs, photographs, and others.
