Good product
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, different templates, email lists

Meltwater is user-friendly and allows you to personalize your dashboard to include only what you want to see - sentiment included!
What do you dislike about the product?
Huge improvements have been made over the years to include all media mentions, but for some reason, some can still be missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now the program includes social media monitoring, which is awesome.
Decent Software
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is very user friendly, it's easy to maneuver and they have great customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional glitches where tests do not send.

We are able to send out press releases far and wide and can use the analytics to determine their reach.

Extremely user friendly and easy to navigate!

There was not really anything about this product that I didn't like. It did take a few days for me to get used to using it, but like i said above, it is very user friendly.

This product made it very easy to track the progress our clients were making.
Customer Service is the Key
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the customer service I receive from Meltwater. Any question I have is resolved within that day, and my issues are many times "user error" or simply me not knowing how to fully access the capabilities. Meltwater is a powerful tool, and I could not survive without it. My bosses are looking to me to be able to target a specific audience within a moment's notice. It also helps me with monitoring and reporting the coverage we receive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes feel the platform has been so "easy" it is "hard." So, I have my team of students help me navigate it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to send out our news to very specific georgraphic areas. I also am able to find contacts of many high profile media people whenever I need to. This keeps my process moving on without slowing me down.

Help department can sometimes take time but they do always get back eventually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This provides a daily media scan (Monday to Friday to all staff). We have used the media list tools sometimes but our organization is not at this point yet.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
That is an amazing software to get on if you can afford it.
Easy to Use Platform with Accurate Results
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater catches most all media hits for our clients in a speedy fashion, the platform is easy to use and customize and multiple terms can be used. The client service has also been excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally some articles are missed by the engine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media monitoring, we have also been able to monitor our client's competitors all in one search with multiple terms which has been very helpful.
Good service and follow-through
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that I can contact my Meltwater rep and they are fast to respond to my requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many moving parts in the Meltwater process - sometimes can be a challenge if you do not use on a regular basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I challenged them to help determine PR ROI recently. Working with my representative, they helped develop a monthly report that tracks our ROI.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Initially engaged to track media coverage and delivering Press Releases - have added tracking ROI.

Makes it easy to monitor media and find sources, also to send out press releases.

Sales team is very pushy and the system could be more user friendly. Doesn’t always seem to find articles from bloggers I have worked with.
