Timely information at your fingertips, great customer service
What do you like best about the product?
I'm able to see who's writing about relevant topics and easily access contact information. One of the best parts about Meltwater is our customer service rep. He's always highly responsive and knowledgeable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is less intuitive than some other products, but they're working on it and it's improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I rely on Meltwater to identify PR opportunities and place a relevant message in front of the right journalists.
Meltwater provides us with an exceptional forum for making our content available to a wide audience.
What do you like best about the product?
The daily updates keep my whole team abreast of corporate mentions in traditional and social channels, which provides greater visibility into the reach of our work and allows our team to actively engage in our content and news about our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater has so many service-related options that at times it's difficult to avail ourselves of all the services they offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is an exceptional platform for getting our news into the right hands and keeping our internal team engaged.

What do you like best about the product?
We recently switched from Cision to Meltwater, and we have had a lot more luck reaching someone from Meltwater when there are questions. Our AM responds in an extremely timely response, which really makes our team feel heard and respected.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is something that's not really fixable... we wanted to stick with PR Newswire but use Meltwater monitoring service, so we have contracts with both Meltwater and PR Newswire/Cision
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're struggling a bit with the newsletter because on Cision we could put screenshots in (to show data) and we cannot on Meltwater.

It compiles digital media in a nice and accessable way to digest.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Meltwater could do a little better identifying duplicate articles.

I can send news clips in a matter of minutes to my boss. Also, I can look for past articles if something become relevant again using key words searches.
Great social listeing platform
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to construct both very complex and very simple queries to understand the pulse of open conversation. You are also able to set alerts with preset conditions to alert of any watch outs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when you try to exclude terms from a query, those still show in the conversation stream and is very hard to remove them to understand the specific conversation you need.

Understanding the state of brand reputation, drivers, and barriers consumers have with the product, the brand, or the moment of consumption. It helps us to identify insights and act on them.

Meltwater is a tremendous tool that assists with your overall PR & communications and social media strategy. The platform provides the right tools for understanding competitor insight and media intelligence. Through extensive media monitoring and social media listening, a brand or company can understand industry trends and increase the share of voice. Marketing KPI's such as website traffic and performance can be directly correlated through analytics and allow your communication and marketing efforts to produce optimal results as required.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to assign posts to my coworkers for approval, which allows for quick and easy checks and balances process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I were able to assign my coworkers comments, so if I don't know the answer to a question or comment, then I could give it to another user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can respond to my audiences throughout all the platforms quickly; the best thing I've realized is I never need to use Facebook Messenger again. The platform makes social media management a one-stop shop.
I'd strongly recommend based on the variety capabilities the platform features.

We've been able to consolidate several efforts within our agency's social media team into one platform rather than relying on multiple platforms to provide the data we need. Thanks to Meltwater, we've expanded our own capabilities to support more in-depth media monitoring, social listening reporting, influencer identification and support, and community management for our agency and clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tools offered for Meltwater packages can be very 'a la carte' and can add up quickly cost-wise. I do wish there were some capabilities that were automatically a part of some of the packages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating solutions for our clients that they otherwise would not have the capacity to figure out on their own. We're also able to do more in-depth social listening to better determine the framing of upcoming initiatives or campaigns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a variety of needs that you would like serviced, Meltwater is a great option for housing all of those services in one place.

Sometimes photos cannot be used in social media and the reason is cryptic (ratio).
