Works as expected
What do you like best about the product?
The Engage Publish feature works as intended, allowing me to easily schedule posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Key features missing like location tagging and granular reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a platform to enable us to approve and schedule posts using a multi-step approval workflow.
Social Media Master
What do you like best about the product?
It helps to collate all social media comments in one place. useful tool to manage social media coverage. it was very easy to implement and customer support for training and other issues has been on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing to dislike, it is good tool so far and I don't have any negative thoughts about it.

Helps us to keep a tag on positive and negative social media comments across platform in one place.

Misrepresentation of Twitter Monitoring Capabilities
I was led to believe that Meltwater would allow me to monitor broad conversations around my brand—including untagged mentions. In reality, my package only includes tagged mentions (i.e., people who @ our account), which are already visible to us without the need for a paid tool.
Loss of YouTube Monitoring Functionality
One of the key reasons I signed up for Meltwater was the ability to track YouTube mentions. This functionality was silently removed without prior notice or a reduction in fees, rendering the tool largely redundant for our use case.
Inadequate Customer Support & Rigid Contract Terms
I’ve raised these concerns and have received nothing more than a reminder that I am “tied into a contract,” with no proactive support or attempt to rectify the situation. This response feels dismissive and fails to acknowledge the responsibility Meltwater holds in accurately setting expectations. At the cost of the software, there should be customer support.

My core goal was to monitor organic, broad-based brand mentions and to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through mention volume trends. Meltwater, in its current state, fails to deliver this in any meaningful way.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use, ability to set up all kinds of alerts, ability to research reporters and the analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am new to Meltwater, so I'm not sure if it's available, but I'd love to get a high level monthly engagement report.

We have a very small team, so it helps us have extra eyes and ears out in the marketplace.
Team expansion through Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the data and analytics that Meltwater provides me and my team. When you're a small shop, it's important to use technology in a way that expands capacity.

Sometimes the organization of information can be a bit confusing in terms of where to access certain content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Me water helps us to quickly pull together information for reporting purposes. We also appreciate the ability to published to multiple platforms from a single dashboard.
Meltwater makes social media management easier.
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many layers of social media management. And Meltwater has helped me learn so much. The workshops and roundtables really let me know what I should be looking out for.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's probably more me, but I'd like the prior workshops to be organized so I know which I have attended or watched on video. Sort of like my own library of resources.

Figuring out how and where to reach my target audience and what they like to see from me.

The information available at it allows a more clear decision making when choosing the path for marketing campaigns.

The user interphase takes a little bit if time to get used to.

The platform’s ability to track brand mentions across multiple channels in real time is extremely helpful for media monitoring and crisis management

The setup and onboarding process could be more streamlined, and customer support response time varies

Competitive analysis
Meltwater Review: Great service with excellent customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is great for building media lists, getting automated media reports and best of all their customer service team is always super responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
They don't seem to track broadcast media hits and often miss mentions in languages like Ukrainian.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is doing better with its tagging of articles that don't appear in the system, adding a google chrome extension that makes the process much easier to do yourself.
