Excellent collaboration tool

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has an intuitive UI which new and guest users can pick up in a matter of minutes and this really helps us when running remote client workshops. There is a comprehensive and regularly updated suite of templates, third party integrations (like Slack and Jira), and tools to support remote collaboration and Agile ways of working. I prefer the desktop app over the browser and the user dashboard is an excellent way to organise our Miro boards across projects and teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over time, boards can naturally grow very large (especially if using lots of images and attachments) and navigation becomes unwieldy if not organised. Performance can also slow down slightly at this point, given the amount of information to load in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro with all my project and products teams to improve our collaboration and for client facing workshops of any kind. There are so many types of remote activities you can run in Miro, including ideation, voting, retrospectives, backlog refinement, user story mapping, release planning, etc and also as a long term digital wallboard for our projects, products and continuous improvement activities. I would say the two most benifical aspects for me personally, as someone focussed on Delivery, are firstly the abilty to make work more visual and interactive and the ability to ideate and brainstorm with colleagues and clients using digital post-it notes and quickly convert that information into Jira issues directly from the Miro board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's plenty you can do on the free tier to get yourself accustomed to what's possible with Miro. I would encourage those thinking about adopting Miro to dive in and play around with some templates like a personal Kanban or try a retrospective template with colleagues to get used to the features and functionality.

Great for remote collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
miro is intuitive and easy to use. We love that it works with images, text, and seamlessly helps you collaborate. Direct links make gathering references easy. Both our clients and students find it an invaluable tool. Love the free education offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take up a fair amount of memory and you need high speed internet. We're ok, but some mind find that a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming remotely is easy. The templates help me get things going quickly so I don't need to overthink things. Collaborate with clients is easy and fun. We used to use design software but then we'd fuss about the way things looked which distracts from the content development and only one person could edit at a time, and the graphics do generally look great. This tool allows us to focus on the content first which is great. With the free trial, it's easy to have clients join without major barriers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Super easy to use, great collaboration tool. Seamlessly links to other similar platforms like google docs. Love that it works with visuals, words and links.

The BEST tool for engaging, transformational, effective online teamwork

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has made it so easy to move my organization's trainings and workshops online. The user-friendly functionality, interactive tools, and "infinite possibilities" whiteboard allow us to collaborate just like we would in a room together.
What do you dislike about the product?
One improvement I would like to see is the ability to separate and organize my various boards more thoroughly. I have dozens and dozens of Miro boards and while these can be organized into projects, I haven't seen a way to more clearly put them into different "workspaces" for faster navigation to what I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problems of making Zoom trainings interactive and engaging. In a time when many have said they are tired of Zoom/online meetings, we receive consistent feedback that our meetings are "the best....better than any other online meeting/workshop I've ever been to." There are also wonderful integrations with to-do lists, calendars, google search, and other tools to make syncing between tasks and objectives seamless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is best in community! When taking a look at Miro, give it a spin by working on things with others/in a group. This way you can explore some of the best tools, like brainstorming, collaboration, timers, voting, etc.

Very Powerful Visualization Tool

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Flexibility of the Miro Interface allows you to create a variety of shapes, text and connections between ideas using arrows or just be freely moving objects around the stage, which can be as large as you want. You can even insert buttons that will take viewers to specific areas of the stage that you have pre-defined. Nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like to use iframe embed codes and while Miro allows these, it sometimes will not show you the content inside the frame until you click on it. You will see a grey frame and the contents of the iframe appears as a pop-up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to create visuals to help students better understand complex ideas. It's great for online teaching.

Great Tool for UX Team!

What do you like best about the product?
Wireframe library is an excellent possibility for online Workshops. We are mainly using Miro for Ideation and sketching an Idea.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I can’t find the boards, which other companies share with us. As well I believe Uploading can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So, since we are all working from home, we realized how important it is to be connected and collaborate at the same time to get something done. Miro is not only good for workshops but also for organizing Teams and keep everything in one area. Very often, I had to go through all my files to find one I was look for to share with my team, now with Miro we just uploaded everything there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Introduce Miro to everyone, with who you are working every closely. And share insides, updates, ideas and even your current status with them you will see how beneficial it is to be transparent.

Powerful tool for a convenient online collaboration

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has a lot of useful features like bord templates, voting options, user story mapping, kanban, tables, and many more. Yet it is still easy to use and very intuitive. We use Miro for conducting different types of meetings, e.g. team's retro, planning, mapping flows, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of ways for showing new features (modals, notification bar, etc.) that sometimes distract from regular work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us keep the information in one place. It's a place for brainstorming, planning the work, and streamline thoughts. Thanks to its flexibility, it's usually our first pick when we're starting any project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to discuss online anything that requires some visual presentation - consider Miro.

Meets all the needs of a product team.

What do you like best about the product?
From easily creating a brainstorming with my design team to looking for ideas for our solution.
We built the entire design process within Miro with all its research stages, persona, user journey map and decisions about what ideas we are going to develop.
In this way, we were able to present to stakeholders how the whole process was carried out and a great advantage is that it becomes a documentation that the entire team can see.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some usability points on the platform when there are several people connected.
Because, when we have a lot of anonymous visitors using it for the first time, it generates some pain points like dragging the frames, blocking a field when selecting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UX team documentation, Flowcharts for product sector coordinators. Co-creation with other teams.
To be able to create the entire design process inside Miro is something incredible, because that way I can easily visualize and iterate inside the boards. Holding meetings and making quick decisions is essential for this current moment of organizations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Using the target you will have the necessary agility for quick decisions and gains with your team.

A seamless tool for real-time collaboration

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Aside from the basic functionality of the ever-expanding canvas, I'm most enticed that I can bring people together (physically), by the fusion of audio, video, chat, and physically bringing everyone to me when I'm the presenter/facilitator. AND we can do this all while staying in one tool. Miro eliminates the often-used and error-prone "screenshare on top of a phone/video chat" by providing one place for all the collaboration, and the flexibility of the options for board "artwork" is near limitless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The major disadvantage is that it becomes difficult to manage teams and guests on the lower-tier accounts. I also want to be able to switch between business and personal boards (you know a tool is good when you bring it into personal life!) but it's cumbersome to log out/in to switch. So the limited access to structuring my organization of boards is a slight turn off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining multiple ways of presenting information (and adjusting it real-time) in combination with a group of people.
We use Miro for sharing individual ideas to receive feedback and for collective working sessions to generate a common strategy/understanding.
The major benefit is that Miro allows us to focus on the content of the work rather than getting hung up in the meta of how we work (which tool to use, technical issues, finding the link to someone's document, etc.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend a few minutes to "play" around with all the features before diving in, and consider participating in one of their live (or recorded) demonstrations to understand the breadth of possibilities.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that i can put all my stuff in one place to get a overview and organize things it is really helpful for me and for my company too, of course, i really love how i can manage my stuff and also get all my things done, my collegue recommended it to me and since that day that he introduced me to mire i fell in love with it
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that what i dislike is that sometimes it is difficult to find things because i am not a really good person to deal with internet and things of technology, although Miro is very instinctive, you know? I really think that Miro should grow even more since it is a very good plataform to put things together and make a company grow and get the strategy done i one place. It is a really nice experience for me. I study at Universidade Federal do Ceara and it is a public college, we dont have a lot of stuff, so Miro is ehat helps me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization at college and work. I get put all of my stuff in one plane, like my notes, my overview of my projects, my new ideas that i want to organize and things like this
Recommendations to others considering the product:
uSE IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TO ORGANIZE

Miro has changed the way I work in group and have brainstorming

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of having a collaborative board with my colleagues and a lot of tools that help us decide, share our ideas and also synthesize our thoughts. I like that it helps me when doing my mind maps when having classes and improving my professional capacitation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a very intuitive plataform, even though as I enjoy using it, I have difficulty creating my cards if I want to share with my colleagues, so I wish there were more tutorials on using it, and also I wish it has a Portuguese version for being more acessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of brainstorming about our problems, do some mental maps to get on the situation and solving it. Also, there's room for everyone to collaborate and to show it with a nice view. We are solving the problem with feedback to the team and the lack of innovation in our products.
