Remove any distance and accelerate interaction

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro reduces the distance between people! Miro sustains an experience very similar to the one you have in the office because it is the same as being in front of a whiteboard. It can be even better because you can have a genuine parallel interaction between participants: they all can write, add and remove contents from the board simultaneously, without the impediments they would have in the physical space. Finally, with Miro, you have the advantages of digital supports: you can easily store and copy-paste the material you produce during your working sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a fan of Miro, and there is nothing special that I do not like. I believe they can improve the way Miro manages the permissions and visibility for the boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to have workshops with my team: they are working session with a collaborative style that accelerate the understanding of a problem. Also, I use it for documentation and knowledge sharing or to explore some ideas personally, with schematics and brainstorming.

Amazing collaborative tool with a small learning curve

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love using Miro because it does a great job providing space for people to contribute in a shared area without requiring travel or neat handwriting. We use it for brainstorms and workshops, design reviews, and project planning and really couldn't have survived this past year without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take a little bit of orientation to help new clients get used to the Miro UI. A few of our Windows users really don't like navigating in large boards, though they do see the benefit to using the tool overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We lead workshops often and Miro is a great spot to have folks come in and start sharing their ideas and building off of others' notes. It's also effortless to rearrange and draw connections, which is a plus when compared to physical whiteboards. Combined with Zoom or Teams breakout rooms and tight agendas, Miro has become an invaluable part of how we collaborate with our clients. Additionally, the board is easy to share and read after the session, which makes drawing takeaways much simpler.

Great collaborative tool with deep functionality

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The deep functionality within Miro and a broad ecosystem of integrations make it a very flexible and helpful system. You can do most of what you need to do from a collaboration perspective without leaving Miro, and being able to embed files and other integrations help that. You can design good-looking boards, and it's relatively simple to keep them neat and tidy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a steep learning curve for new participants who haven't used Miro before, and the onboarding process for new users can be a bit of a headache in terms of registering--they can get a bit confused at times. It would be useful to be able to lock down or limit functionality for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team workshops, teaching for students, whole innovation programs, one-to-one facilitated discussions, online collaboration, mentoring sessions

More effective workshops, better and faster collaboration, easy knowledge management

MIRO enabling therapists to deliver enhanced rehabilitation to brain injured clients.

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MIRO allows me to be REALLY creative with my clients, to operate remotley with them at a time when it is difficult to see them face to face. We can develop compensatory strategies with them, solve problems, use MIRO to find employment, run groups, and up skill our clients. You can make your boards as simple or complex as you like which allows you to adjust boards for each individual. To top all this off, MIRO have been very supportive and interested in our work which is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using MIRO has generally been great; the only downside has been some of the clients, because of their brain injury, have found it challenging to access boards. MIRO though, have been keen to discuss access issues with us, which is positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some examples of how we have used MIRO
To carry out careers guidance
To manage fatigue following brain injury
To record job applications, clients are making
Enabling group training sessions to run remotely with interaction and to move away from face face sessions with paper handouts.
We can share the work we have done on MIRO easily with clients putting them more at the centre of their rehabilitation
We have run events remotley using MIRO i.e. an inclusion week fayre for our organisation

It's been an amazing tool for collaboration between different cohorts. I always recommend Miro.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy and fun to use, no matter if you are a millennial, x or boomer
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to get for first time users sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In this pandemic, we are all sick of power point and boring zoom sessions.
With Miro, I can make sure everyone is participating actively and actually enjoying the session.
Virtual collaboration between different generations has been the most difficult challenge for me, but Miro makes them all equal, since it's easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It would be useful to have some material focused on different generations. We know that they learn in a different way, depending on their age and expertise. It would be nice to have some personalized tutorial for all of them.

Miro has completely changed the way our agency works - and we're never going without it again!

  • May 04, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
It's a collaborative and versatile tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're not able to upload different fonts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're often mapping out complex strategies for healthcare companies. Miro brings everyone on our team together and makes them feel empowered to take ownership of their portions of the project. Everyone can work together collaboratively or independently while still making their work visible to the entire team. Because of Miro's clean interface and custom design solutions, we love presenting to clients directly from our Miro boards - rather than transferring everything to Keynote and creating more work for the team. We've used Miro for various types of projects ranging from wireframing/information architecture, strategy mapping, brainstorming, project management schedules, and more. The significant benefit is the opportunities are endless with Miro.

Miro is the virtual place of my real design

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In a single platform, I can manage my agenda, ideas, structured projects, and planning. And for some time now, my presentations as well. Not having to jump from one specialized environment to another is comfortable.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like is that I can't move tabs of open boards, which I instinctively do to keep groups of related boards close together.
Another thing I'd improve is the tab entity: it is very useful as a structured container of information to move from one column to another in a table or kanban, but which I'd enhance with richer text management and more pronounced color markup, in any case, already useful as it is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has dramatically reduced friction in managing my daily work of organizing and planning. In particular, I was able to develop an agenda system that is a hybrid of planner and kanban, a visual system that is particularly congenial to me.

A powerful tool for creativity

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am a teacher in a high school and a formator in different kind of seminaries for educators. I have used Miro to collect the experiences of the participants. The result was great, very clear, and at the same time, pleasurable to be viewed
What do you dislike about the product?
I had at the beginning some problems about the use of templates: they are really many and maybe it is required a little bit of time and experience to use them properly. Obviously it is a richness but, especially at the beginning, it is easy to get lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The major problem I have solved was to find a way to collaborate in real time, an accessible tool, not too challenging to be managed by the participants. Miro offered all these features together

Best White Board solution I know

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a facilitator, moderator, and coach I need an easy to access whiteboard tool. Miro is exactly that. It allows true collaboration and has a myriad full of options and tools to make the board work just the way you want. Of course this comes with one disadvantage: you’ll have to teach your participants a little bit, how to use the tool. But I found a ways to do that in under 5 minutes and even with some learnings outside the sole Miro experience (e.g. “Introduce yourself with pictures and emojis”.
What do you dislike about the product?
As mentioned already, introducing fresh participants into Miro takes some time. Still it’s 100% worth it, unless you only have less than one hour time. And some tools are not yet as functional as I wish they were. But knowing the development speed of the Miro team I guess this is only a matter of weeks until it all just works fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Miro for an international workshop series that wouldn’t have been possible in these Corona times. And furthermore I do not expect to have this conference in the next years in presence, because it saved us so much time and money to use Miro instead of bringing 200 people from all over the world to the headquarter.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Business Consultant

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been very effective to allow for productive and fun teamwork and team-building exercises for our remote team. Our organization recently used Miro to plot our business model canvas, and we all use the boards for various project workflows and brainstorming. It is a perfect solution to visually map our thought process, and stay connected as a team. The boards also serve as a record of our projects and workflows which has really helped with keeping the team on the same page, onboarding new members, and optimizing project elements. I have tried other virtual whiteboards, but Miro seems to be the best in terms of the range of templates (we especially love the startup templates through our work with entrepreneurs), functionality, and aesthetics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Miro is when someone has an entity selected on the board it grey's out and is hard to read. I think it makes sense to show when someone is selecting something, but greying it out makes it tricky to collaborate in real-time because it hinders visibility for others. There is also a bit of a learning curve to get used to all of the functionality of Miro, but that is to be expected, and most functionality is intuitive. The only other issue I have found is that it's hard to navigate to the events page, or Miro home page once you have an account. I would add an events/ community/ webinars button to the dashboard page so teams can easily access and know about that valuable content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving teamwork, brainstorming, and project management hurdles with Miro. We used to work in the office and since being remote Miro has helped with keeping us all connected.
