The Perfect Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Many things:
- Ease of use
- Many templates to choose from, saving huge amounts of time for the administrator of the "event"
- Viewing other cursors (brings a feeling of collaboration for a remote team)
- Pricing seems fair, unlike some tools that charge more for the same kind of features
- Simple tools available for getting started immediately, and extensive features for those who want to dig deeper and get the most out of the tool
- Specifically, I like the ability to create mockups of Web Applications using the wireframe
- Sticky notes!
- Commenting on other people's work, which again helps collaboration

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much:
- The default scrolling is extremely annoying because it's "click-and-drag". Scrolling around the page using a trackpad is far more intuitive and easy.
- It took me a while to work out how to change navigation settings
- This could be from my own limited knowledge of the tool and not necessarily an issue for others

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro brings collaboration back, and dare I say it, I believe this tool is easier to use than to work together in person!
Having worked collaboratively in person and also through Miro, I greatly appreciate the ability to work in the exact same space without getting in someone else's way. Physically, I had to stand in line to move sicky notes around, but with Miro, it's magic!

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you do a lot of collaborative work, this tool is a must-have!
Miro great for collaborations and design thinking
What do you like best about the product?
I really love how easy it is to use its great to get ideas out and aids in design thinking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the text options are a bit clunky and don't work great. It should be easier to arrange and align elements. Also, moving around the board during a meeting makes most people motion sick. It would be great to be able to view the art boards like a pdf or slide and go from 1-1 instead of flying all over the board. I also dislike when you are apart of boards but cant delete them, especially when you are trying it out before purchasing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to collaborate on our annual holiday card and other projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think its great for ux designers and teams.
Awesome tool to colaborate with team members in meetings
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has helped me share my ideas much more straightforwardly when I have meetings with my team members. This tool provides so many features that allow us to convey our thoughts in a shared board, which humans find naturally to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not that I don't like, but it would be great if this tool can be integrated with MS Teams, so we can start drawing when having meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows me to share my thoughts much more straightforward by drawing and sketching, so that gathering software requirement is much more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I checked different tools that allow me to share my ideas quickly, but this one won first place with all its features; now, it is much easier for me to convey my thoughts with my peers at work.
Encouraging teamwork with Miro
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly, Miro offers a user-friendly, accesible, and intuitive interface with a real customization possibility. You can encourage your team's creativity, engagement, and organization. The templates available from Miro are handy, but the opportunity to use the community-developed templates ensures a much richer experience. Also, I notice that some companies are starting to look differently at people who are used to using this tool, this encourages the use of the community, and more and more interesting templates created by the community are added and make our day-to-day work easier. When you bring this new tool to your team, clearly you will see an excitement for being something new with an intense world of possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The possibility of undoing some action when using Miro in real-time with teammates still creates a bit of confusion in my team. I believe that the initial tutorial could be improved too, given that precisely because the tool has a huge range of possibilities. When some people on my team saw that many buttons and options she can get scared at first, so I myself created a tutorial a little more detailed than Miro's standard tutorial. It's worth the effort to create internal training for your team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary function is the control through kanban, being a fundamental tool for our sprints. In this regard, we had greater adherence to this tool than those used previously. In addition, some creation and ideation dynamics, such as brainstorming, bring greater team participation than when we used the whiteboard in the room. Another unforeseen use was in the onboard process for new employees, in which we apply specific dynamics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As I said, it is very worthwhile to create internal training focused on the tools you will use the most because the vast amount of possibilities can make your team get scared or lose focus.
Finally I can do diagrams without Word!
What do you like best about the product?
Straightforward and intuitive tool. It has many options for multiple formats besides being collaborative: from changing the box types, arrows, color palettes to different shapes. I was delighted to hear a tool like this existed since working on Word had become very difficult. With Miro, when you want to arrange your diagram, the arrows follow the shape and keep the diagram tidy. Overall, I would say that using Miro certainly speeds up the process of creating diagrams, mind-maps, and other forms of chats compared to alternative programs. There are also incredible amounts of templates to chose from.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's a well-built tool with multiple features, which is great. The only thing missing for me was the export function for my diagrams. Some of the side panels are not immediately intuitive, and until you hoover your cursor over, you cannot see the actual process. Even with these small dislikes, it is worthwile trying this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating logic diagrams for my research. I use to do them on Word, but then my colleague mentioned this platform, and I've not looked back. Besides that, I've been creating mind maps to arrange my thoughts, which is very helpful. The next step is to use it collaboratively, which I've not done so far.
I'm looking forward to it since my colleagues have spoken highly of it. Lastly, I will be recommending this product to the rest of my colleagues as it is definitely an investment plus the great variety of templates to get inspired by.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
From the great variety of templates to the collaborative aspect, Miro is a worth getting product.
Whiteboarding virtually with Miro is better than whiteboarding in person.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it creates a hive mind between our team. I love how easy it is to copy and paste screenshots. I really enjoy the icon finder to help with visual storytelling. I love all of the user generated template content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to add images or files to my clipboard is annoying. (Copy and paste images/files out of one of my boards to my clipboard to use somewhere else)
I know you can download it but it adds a lot of steps and isn't the best UX for me.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly the worshipping that we would be doing in person as a team can be done virtually.
We use it a lot to collaborate on the fly when designing websites/experiences.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your team has ever used a whiteboard, you'll like Miro.
Great tool for collaboration and workshops
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is that I can you it for different purposes - I use it to think about some ideas on my own, to brainstorm with my team, to do a presentation and a workshop. I can keep all my ideas in one place and share them when I need it.
The other thing I like is a collection of templates that I can use for my workshop. Usually, I can find a template that I need and the library is still growing.
And of course, the neverending board is great as I don't need to worry about the space and size of my objects and I can focus on my current work.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's all good. There are only two things that would make it better for me:
1) the unsorted boards - so that I can find the boards that do not belong to any folder
2) board covers - Miro used to have automated covers with the content of the board and I liked it. Now they are all blank and I do not want to bother and chose the right pictures for them

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often teach people and do workshops. These are the main cases when I use Miro. I use it both as presentation slides and for activities. My students enjoy working with Miro and become more engaged in learning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have started to use Miro with its free plan and it was then when I realized that I can use it for my business. So using it for free gives the taste of the platform.
Easy, more intuitive way to get organized
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Miro is the visual aspect and the ability to create and easily understand steps all laid out on one board. Miro works like my brain works, instead of forcing my brain to work in a way that is not natural or intuitive. The templates are also excellent! Miro provides creative templates that are super helpful that I wouldn't have come up with by myself but definitely make the work flow way better.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to drink the kool aide. Team members who don't 'have time' or 'want to' learn a new software program cannot collaborate and add value. Although my work is much better, easier and more fun for me, I still have to make old school lists if I want to work with others who don't use Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying more organized. Plus I can more easily see and anticipate obstacles before they happen with a Miro board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the extra time you need in the beginning to learn the program. It'll save so much time later on!
Excellent tool for cross-functional collaboration!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that miro is the ultimate app for collaborating with multiple teams. The days of individually editing separate documents and sending them to colleagues are over. Everyone can work simultaneously and contribute to production in realtime.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to delete boards. For example, even the admins can't delete empty "My First" boards or boards that are no longer needed. They must be deleted by the person that created the board and if that person is no longer with the company nothing can be done about it. In the end, it creates a lot of unnecessary clutter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our collaboration as a team, as well as our collaboration in multiple departments has increased exponentially and meetings have become more productive and inclusive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you work within a team based environment, get Miro. Once you do, you might find yourself reminiscing about the before times and wonder how you made it this far without it.
We'll want to continue using Miro even when we're back in the office.
What do you like best about the product?
It's a fantastic way to create mood boards, have discussions, workshops, problem-solving, etc. Honestly, it's been such an amazing tool during the pandemic and working from home. So much that we've already discussed, we'll probably continue using Miro when we're back in the office (although that itself might be a little bit of a challenge since we're not sure if we'll just have to huddle around one person's monitor.) The best part of this is that you can create, edit, delete parts as you go without worrying about running out of post-it notes!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there are any significant downsides to Miro. It's a very polished tool - we haven't run into any bugs nor downtimes. It's always been up and running. I've submitted a few minor improvements, such as the ability to assign more than 1 person to the 'task' card feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Miro both as workshops to kick off projects but also as discussions for the overall team structure and working process. I think it has helped us improve ourselves in those areas. It's a lot easier to pick a project back up without having to look through scribbled notes.
