Great product for team collaboration

  • March 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can collaborate in real time with your team. I have used it mostly for Ideation, User story map and Value Proposition Canvas and loved it. I feels like I am working on an advanced white board with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used Miro for 3 months now and done some projects using it and seriously I don't have any complaints so far. It serves it's purpose effectively. There is no lagging when you are collaborating with your team. The freemium version is perfect for a small team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Effortless Cross-functional teamwork
- Collaboration
- Free Templates - for example, User story map, Value Proposition Canvas, Mind Maps
- Simple and Easy to use tool

A must communication & alignment tool to collaborate in the modern business contexts

  • March 27, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows multiplying your impact as a team in the same amount of time. You could perform different exercises that allow you to remove boundaries in lots of contexts: is it your SDLC process or team building activity, Miro has it covered. It is more about the mindset of solving things through collaboration, instead of creating siloed static processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as it is agile, it is hard to use it for anything more structured, that needs to be taken care of for a longer time. For example, we keep our team's structure in Miro, which provides a lot of observability, but it is really hard to incorporate in the process of hiring/restructuring because it does not allow a lot of integrations on a semantical level with other, more structured platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aligning team members on a lot of different topics, visualizing concepts and ideas, discussing team structures, performing people exercises, performing retrospectives.

A powerful online collaboration tool to create shared understanding

  • March 27, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a joy to use this tool. The experience is smooth and hassle-free. And to express complex matters, I can use any combination of features I like. I can draw, I can add sticky notes, emojis, icons, pre-defined charts, etc. I feel very expressive and never have I ever felt limited using this tool. In fact, I discovered many different frameworks that I can use to collaborate and come to a shared understanding with customers and business units.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a specific thing that I dislike about Miro. But when I think about it, the only time I use something other than Miro is when I'm creating wireframes. If I could do that as well, my whole workflow would be covered by Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business analyst, I mostly work with stakeholders from various backgrounds. Instead of using traditional methods and delivering formal documents to come to a shared understanding, I prefer online whiteboard tools to visualize and communicate my ideas. This way we can collaborate in real-time and tackle challenging problems by visualizing things better.

I also like using Miro to guide participants to systematically approach a topic, rather than having a traditional meeting. In doing so, having a library of templates where I can find proven methods and workflows help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to have a look around in Miroverse. I'm sure you will find some good frameworks and techniques to step up your game.

Great to organise thoughts and collaborate with others

  • March 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I can easily throw ideas onto the board and start connecting the dots.
I can start seeing immerging patterns easily and I can bring others into the board to collaborate and/or run workshops with options for timers, voting and participants following me around the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have seen first-time users having some difficulty understanding the interactions at first, especially if they have never used similar programs. Sounds ridiculous, but I also dislike when I have to work outside of Miro, because other tools aren't as useful to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Miro for all product operations work to map findings and existing patterns. For structuring concepts or ideas to improve product development practices. For workshoping ideations sessions and finally to define change management plans.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest Miro for any organization looking to improve collaboration and structuring complex thoughts easily.

Great for creative teams!

  • March 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is like an open-ended canvas to which you can add anything and everything. It's great for storyboarding, mind-mapping, collaboration, etc. The options are infinite and it allows the creativity of the individuals of your team to come through in ways that are otherwise extremely difficult.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of the open-ended nature of Miro, it can be difficult for less visual or less creative team members to contribute in a meaningful way without some guidance. We have overcome this by creating several templates for our team to use, but it's still something to be aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team uses Miro for everything from documenting all information surrounding a client, mocking up and reviewing design elements, illustrating project structure, brain storming, to any other method of organizing ideas and information you can think of. We truly have integrated Miro into most of our workflows and our team is better for it.

Best experience for teams and students

  • March 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm using Miro with both my team of designers and the students I lecture. It increases bonding and collaboration during workshops and exercises!
Students love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some people are misusing it and think it's good for specialised usage such as doing flows.
These flows are more difficult to maintain on Miro than Overflow.io.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using it in unmoderated and moderated workshops, I'm able to get the outcomes I want and adapt my methodologies based on the audience I have. Awesome!
