An infinite whiteboard ... that's grown beyond my imagination

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to organise all and any kind of content into a single space, re-arrange it, mash it together and create a presentation out of it at the end.

It's the only platform that allows me to work smoothly with many people at the same time, bringing us close as it's possible to the feeling of standing together and physically drawing on the board or putting up sticky notes.

The templates Miro have introduced over time have promoted me and my friends to push the boundaries of what we use Miro for, moving away from simple note-taking, through mind mapping all the way to sophisticated facilitation of workshops involving multiple groups and tools like story mapping.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's now overwhelming to new users, so I have to continuously tell them what not to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In this world of complete remote working that is the ultimate collaboration tool for me and my teams. We would be able to understand and direct problems without Miro.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start small and simple, don't jump into templates too early, get familiar with the basics of setting up the board and helping others navigate around. When you and the team have had a few attempts at working together you'll find using the templates actually helping, rather than hindering.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro promotes creativity. When I open up a blank board, I don't feel lost, I feel like I have multiple functions that can help me get started with either a pre-made template, or just start creating ways to promote clarity and engagement. I use Miro for RFX Procurement Research, to bring alignment in research projects, for team retros, and to communicate workflows/processes. I often use it for a way to organize even my thoughts or ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only challenge is when you have multiple objects close together, and you aren't able to select a particular one. A thought to fix this, is if you are able to scroll through selected objects through the arrow keys or something, instead of having to pull out objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use MIRO to help solve problems that we experience through our development teams, such as coordination challenges. Some other examples include: We use MIRO to solve problems around team efficiencies with the Kanban. We have revamped our Program Level Kanban, and we wanted a simple way to capture prototypes which promote quick understanding with little effort to "build". Remote can be challenging, and its really hard to find ways to match the in person experience. Miro, in some examples has excelled past the in person experiences, and has honestly promoted a better way of engaging.

Great collaboration tool that is getting even better all the time!

What do you like best about the product?
It's great for collaborating with lots of people at once, especially when using the feature to see collaborators' cursors. I can tell where everyone is and what progress they are making.
I also like the highlighting of changes made while you are gone. Since collaboration doesn't always mean everyone working on the project at the exact same time, it is invaluable to be able to stay up to date on progress no matter when you are working on the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
The hardest part for me right now is understanding how to set up permissions for others to view and/or edit the boards I create. The free account is simple, but an enterprise account gets very complex and therefore sharing becomes more complex. Not impossible, just tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using Miro for years, I have used it to solve a number of problems.

It is my tool of choice whenever I need to visualize a project or problem to solve; for whenever I need to visually organize thoughts or present information.

When our group needed to do big room planning with individuals across multiple time zones, this tool was essential for allowing us to use digital versions of the same tools (e.g. sticky notes, strings, and posters) that we were used to , so that the group could focus on the task at hand and not on retraining ourselves with a new planning method or model.

I use the tool to brainstorm with others and to expand upon ideas often through the templates available in Miro. Those templates are great! They give me new ideas of how I can use the tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an excellent collaboration tool to compliment other tools used by a remote workforce. If you have ever felt that Powerpoint just wasn't cutting it, use this product and you will soon see how easy it can be to collaborate. After using this product you will want to find more things to collaborate on.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been a very valuable tool in collaborating within a huge team. It allowed us to coordinate and share our work across multidisciplinary teams, and we particularly appreciated its smoothness during presentations. Remote collaboration at its best, suitable for different stages of any project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some technical issue while uploading boards from sketch. Sometimes it would just not work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing project work very easily, cooperating on ideas on the boards themeselves

Most powerful diagram tool I ever used

  • October 30, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Freedom to design and collaboration with the team. During my time in software development I came across various tools, and Miro is by far the easiest, most portable and modern of them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Annotations and custom fields on objects could be improved, may this would open for more integrations. Also would like to have more docs and broad API, mainly for animation outside presentation mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designing solutions for applications modernization and new components for our distributed system. It greatly improved the teams collaboration on diagrams, design thinking sessions and overall graphical documents we have.

Easy, Krisp and Engaging

  • October 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The one thing that I like best in Miro is a bunch o things. Miro is super easy to use and learn. Anyone that never used the tool can instantly learn how to use without much difficulty. I love the real time collaboration, post-its, templates, dot voting and time box management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when there are many artboards and/or many elements, Miro starts to get slow. I use the Mac app and I thought that Miro would save in some app cache the things that are already loaded in the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time collaboration and project documentation. This makes very easy for anyone to collaborate and view everything that was done in a project.
