What do you like best about the product?
Visual note-taking and the ability to create and reuse templates. It is also beneficial for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in a way that allows them to continue to contribute after a meeting and without them being able to access other works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licencing can be confusing, and sysadmin permissions aren't as straightforward as they could be. Additionally, Miro was not very helpful when we reached out to them to address a potential data risk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to workshop with clients professionally and engagingly and allows my team to understand our goals quickly. Without Miro, it would be tough to engage with external stakeholders meaningfully.

Great tool for online design workshops (Education)

  • October 13, 2022

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an efficient group whiteboard, which is intuitive for most IT professionals and has some neat features for running design workshops. The basic whiteboard features, like frames, making comments, and reacting, are very neat, and 'getting started tutorials' give students the confidence to try Miro for the first time in public. You can also put instructions on the board, or in slideout side panels, to ensure that every group knows what they need to do. Templates are also great for showing what needs to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro is an online tool, and sometimes physical pens, and post-it notes huddling around a pin board suits the participants better. I find preparing an online workshop can take longer, as it is sometimes necessary to tell participants exactly what to do, down to the exact menu option to select, or mouse action to make. But that is a downside of working online, rather than Miro in fairness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In 2022. it is important that students learn industry-relevant, online collaboration skills. Remote work at least some of the time, seems to be firmly established in may industries, and our students need to be prepared for that, so we need to work online some of the time. Miro is widely used in industry, especiallly in IT and Ux design, so students are keen to work with the same tools.

What do you like best about the product?
The way that we can comunicate ideas even when we are not face to face, the simple and intuitive tools that you can use and the advanced ones, everything in this tool makes easier the comunication
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes you can be overwhelmed by the size of the board that you are working on, this could scare newbies, maybe a guided tour (that i dont remember taking) would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the way that we can share information having a work from home schema almost like we are in there, having those tools that help to improve communication, with this we have our project planning meetings done very quickly

Great for collaborating especially with remote teams

What do you like best about the product?
Love the different ways you can shape and use your Miro boards. Miro provides many useful templates from planning to brainstorming. It's easy to design your own templates too. The layout is also user friendly and colourful which makes it delightful to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage/ organisation could be better, quite difficult to find all the different boards and which teams they belong to etc. Sharing can also be better, always experience problems when sharing with external teams and allowing edit access etc. Would be good if there's a suggesting/ commenting access, or access that expires
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating and brainstorming when most teams are working remoting. Having a space to brainstorm with post-it notes but not damaging the environment by using lots of little paper. Also great for storing old brainstorming sessions to refer back to at a later time

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can work from home or the office with nearly the same level of effectiveness. Its possible to stay on track with workshop activities wherever your team happens to be located.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scaling can get tricky, and keeping your pages organized with many people's input their additions. Some tools to help in these areas would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping your teams on track and recording data is critical; now, with one place for all of this, it is easier to keep track.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use...great for async collaboration. You can create a board and send the link around. Also great for collab workshops.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our users never need to use Miro. So, getting them access for a single workshop is a real pain sometimes. Some of the shapes are a bit fiddly to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online collaboration. Replaces the in person whiteboard pretty well.

Miro review by an ADAS Systems Engineer

  • October 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro enabled collaboration seamlessly for our team. The intuitive UI and appealing visual representation keep us engaged while not distracting us with over-the-top visuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is significantly tougher to use Miro on smaller devices. Navigation is a slight issue on phones and tablets. I found myself using it on laptops to avoid these hassles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping us collaborate and plan our sprints. My team used to keep track of minutes of our planning meet using simple notes applications earlier, Miro has been a huge help in that area.

A great tool to develop ideas with a team

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that you can collaborate with your teammates online live. You can see what they are looking at constantly. It's components are pretty and are really easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that sometimes it is hard to drag components around the screen. This meaning, sometimes when I try to drag a certain component I end up dragging another one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes planning things as a team gets hard; this tends to happen because not everyone sees what their peers see. When you work with Miro it ends up making things clearer and easier to understand.
