I couldn't do my job without Miro!

What do you like best about the product?
As a business analyst I wouldn't be able to perform my role without some kind of digital visualisation product, and Miro is always my software of choice! It is innately intuitive, when using for collaborative sessions even first-time users get the gist within the first 10 minutes. When you use it as frequently as I do, the breadth of features allows me to communicate complex topics to my colleagues with ease. My favourite recent addition was the 'layers' concept which allows me to include an incredible level of detail into one diagram, while being able to tailor this level of detail to specific audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit tricky to leverage Miro diagrams outside of the web based app. Other providers offer better solutions for creating official documentation. However, there is a workaround in creating a frame and exporting as pdf so in reality this is not a huge issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Miro particularly useful for event storming at the beginning of an initiative when everything still feels vague a collaborative whiteboard session can provide clarity and direction.

The best thing that I like in Miro is that you can attached and navigate into the documents attached there, it helps to connect the things that I need to visualize side by side with that I can create a brain storm and generate and visualize new ideas. Also after it done, you can generate automatically one page to present or export it for a PDF.
What do you dislike about the product?
No comments to dislike Miro. Everything works good and help me to identify new opportunities.

Evaluation of Miro: Collaborative Tool for Project Management

  • April 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Miro is its flexibility and visual aspect, which make organization and collaboration easier. The intuitive interface allows for clearly structuring ideas, tracking project progress, and keeping an overview at a glance. It is particularly useful for laying out the pipeline, annotating references, and organizing the different stages of production smoothly. Teamwork is also simplified thanks to real-time annotations and sharing capabilities. And the free version is extremely comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like less about Miro is its sometimes limited optimization, especially on loaded boards. The application consumes a lot of RAM, which can make it slow on complex projects. Additionally, the inability to directly import MP4 files is frustrating, especially for animation projects where one would like to view sequences without having to go through external links. Finally, file and asset management could be smoother, with better organization of imports and more complete export options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro primarily addresses collaboration and visual organization issues in a team project. It allows for centralizing ideas, structuring the production pipeline, and tracking progress in real-time, which prevents the dispersion of information across multiple platforms. Thanks to its intuitive interface, I can easily annotate references, organize my tasks, and visualize the entire project at a glance. This helps me better structure my work and collaborate effectively with my team, even remotely.

What do you dislike about the product?
Miro is expensive, complicated, overloaded, slow, confusing, support is bad, data protection questionable, unusable offline, updates annoying, collaboration glitchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication gaps: Miro facilitates brainstorming and the visualization of ideas, which reduces misunderstandings.
Tool fragmentation: It integrates various tools (e.g., Slack, Trello), so teams don't have to switch between programs.
Project clutter: With templates and an infinite workspace, complex processes can be structured.
Limited creativity: The intuitive interface and features like sticky notes promote creative problem-solving.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is great for brainstorming because it’s super flexible, collaborative, and easy to use whether you're a beginner or a seasoned digital user.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a board becomes too large, navigating and finding specific content can be super challenging. Also, performance may slow down when multiple collaborators are working on the board simultaneously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration and visual organization. I think it also helps in project management.
