Miro through designer's lens

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes it absolutely easy and convenient for brainstorming, mood boarding, especially when working with a team. The infinite canvas gives me the freedom to lay out ideas, sketch user flows, and build out complex systems without feeling boxed in.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don’t love is how heavy Miro can get once a board has too much on it — it starts lagging or becoming a bit clunky, especially on slower machines or during screen shares. Sometimes I also wish the design tools were a bit sharper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For design work, it’s made a huge difference. I can throw together a quick moodboard with reference images, colors, or typography ideas and instantly get feedback from my team — no back-and-forth or messy attachments. People can comment directly, react, or add their thoughts without needing any design tools themselves, which makes the whole process more inclusive.

It also makes workshops and planning sessions smoother. Everyone’s able to participate, move things around, vote, or co-create in real time. That kind of visual, hands-on collaboration helps the team align faster and stay engaged, especially when we’re all working from different locations.

What do you like best about the product?
It's great to collaborate with other colleagues, for making presentations and for putting your ideas in others. Is super effective to visualise everything from the top. I use it every week.
What do you dislike about the product?
The zoom it can be tricky to use, and if you start working with too much or too little zoom, then is hard to change it as the things when increasing or reducing the size work a bit funny
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps for ideating the roadmap, for collaborative sessions and for fast wire framing of ideas

Industry leader for Workflows and team collaboration. whiteboard and mind mapping

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Miro is its comprehensive suite of tools that streamline visual collaboration. The platform offers a wide array of templates that cater to diverse needs, whether for dynamic brainstorming sessions, outlining strategic roadmaps, or detailed user journey mapping. Its intuitive drag-and-drop interface makes it remarkably easy to use, even for those new to such tools, ensuring accessibility across different skill levels within a team.

A key strength is its capacity for real-time collaboration, allowing multiple team members to simultaneously work on and contribute to the same board, which fosters seamless teamwork and immediate feedback. Miro also integrates smoothly with a host of popular productivity tools like Jira, Trello, Slack, and Google Workspace, which is crucial for maintaining an efficient workflow.

The design is inherently scalable, meaning the boards can effortlessly support everything from simple, small-scale projects to highly intricate, multi-layered workflows. For those facilitating workshops or meetings, advanced features such as built-in timers, voting sessions, and breakout boards prove invaluable. Furthermore, its cross-platform accessibility is a significant plus, as users can conveniently access and work on their boards from desktops, tablets, or smartphones via dedicated applications.

The inclusion of a version history feature is highly beneficial, allowing teams to track changes and revert to previous iterations if needed, which is a safeguard for collaborative work. Miro also excels in rich content embedding; you can directly embed videos, images, and external links onto the boards, making them dynamic and information-dense. Finally, the responsive customer support and robust data security, adhering to strict compliance standards, provide peace of mind, ensuring project materials are secure and assistance is readily available.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside has been the learning curve for advanced features, as they require some time to master, especially for new users migrating from simpler tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we started using Miro, the way we work together has genuinely changed for the better. Before, things felt a bit scattered, and keeping everyone on the same page with projects was a constant effort.

Take our agile development sprints, for example. Planning used to mean long meetings and juggling different documents. Now, we do it all on a Miro board, everyone can chip in live, tasks are clear, and we can all see how things are moving. It's noticeably cut down our meeting times for these sessions, and everyone just gets what we're aiming for much quicker.

Our client workshops are different too. Instead of just talking at them with slides, we use Miro to build things together. Clients can jump in with their ideas right on the board. It's made them happier and we're getting to yes on proposals much faster. We even had one big project, that would normally take ages with back and forth, get approved in just one meeting because we worked it out together in Miro.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to collaborate and share ideas with my teammates. The little sidebar is pretty intuitive, and you can really do a lot. Anytime me and my teamates need to share ideas or generally show what where working on or what are inspiration is, Miro is better than a whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I kind of wish there was a way to maybe integrate some of the functionality of Illustrator or Photoshop to really let teammates collaborate on full scale projects together (Like Figma) .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating on a digital enviornment where team members can easily express their ideas through text and photos.

Miro has all the features I need in my daily work. It's great for flexible collaboration and is my go-to tool for sorting my thoughts and creating an overview of various topics or issues. Even when working with colleagues who are not accustomed to Miro, it is easy to use for them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I mostly use the sticky notes in Miro but the restrictions regarding their size can be quite limiting sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me get an overview of complex topics. It makes it much easier to think issues through by being able to freely organize your thoughts. Combined with its collaboration capabilities, Miro is a great whiteboarding software.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an absolute game-changer for me as a product designer. It's incredibly useful for visualising flows with our Product Managers and engineers – makes complex ideas so much clearer! I also use it loads for running workshops and getting everyone from different departments involved, which is brilliant for collaboration. If you're looking for a solid tool to really bring your team's ideas to life, you can't go wrong with Miro.

Also the new Ai tools to create flows are pretty useful to get a base to start on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The music could be better ;) It is quite boring
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For visualising complex flows and ideas not just with our engineers, but also with wider stakeholders and the marketing team. It’s brilliant for ensuring everyone's truly on the same page, regardless of their technical background.

It's also great for workshops and team Retros, where people can get creative.
