Useful for authentication

  • December 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kinde helps me add authentication in my website easily. It has good Customer support too. Best part is it's easy to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much downside, but I want it to be integrated with firebase, so that I can integrate both in my site easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kinde is making it easy to add authentication in my website.

The Best Auth Solution For The Start-Ups

  • December 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kinde is very cost-effective. I love the price model. It'll help many start-up companies grow their businesses as they protect their customers' data with Kinde Auth Solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Presently, there is nothing I dislike about Kinde. The management can only add a feature for Hardware Token Activation for the authenticator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kinde is securing our customers' data and preventing unauthorized access to our project web app.

Multi-tenancy for t3-turbo

  • December 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use developer dashboard, easy to follow documentation, quick customer support via Discord, all the multi-tenancy features we needed like roles and multi-orgs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration wasn't as straightforward as I would have liked. There's been some downtime with the service that's hindered productivity and access. No client side organization name fetch (only IDs). The price is expensive for our small team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a multi-tenant authorization platform that ideally had a GUI for building out access controls. Kinde handled that swimmingly. The out of the box authentication workflow replaces/works together with Next-Auth.

Passwordless auth made easy

  • December 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which we were able to set up passwordless auth and the generous free tier while we are pre-launch both contributed to a great experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am nitpicking, but finding the client-side settings page to manage callback URLs seems elusive. I end up clicking all over the place before I eventually find it. What is more annoying, and nothing to do with Kinde, is that I keep forgetting to bookmark it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making authentication and authorisation a truly simple service

Kinde is good, and it keeps getting better

  • December 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kinde is quite good for a managed auth solution. It's documentation is reasonably good and lists out the steps you have to take well. It wasn't difficult to set up kinde in my project, and it just works. It's UI looks beautiful. There's a good amount of features available, and since i started using it they released even more. You can also do a good amount of custom branding on your auth pages which I really appreciate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it doesn't have a nice solution for vercel preview URLs. The recommended solution is to set up a script to add the preview url using the API after building on vercel, but that feels a little sketchy. It's not too big of an issue though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't want to manage auth myself, as it's annoying and time consuming to set up right, especially with oauth and password based together, so kinde is definitely solving the auth part of our applications. It really helps to lower the time necessary to make a new app and get to the first release.

Easy to use with minimal configurations

  • December 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kinde integration is very straightforward. Just copy paste from the docs and you'll have a working app in less than 5mins. Kind console UI is also simple and intuitive to navigate around.
What do you dislike about the product?
The React SDK does not have an out-of-the-box ProtectedRoute component and couldn't find a method in useKindeAuth() hook to get the refresh token.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to have authentication features in my app which gives me the flexibility to expand into MFA and other passwordless methods. I did not want to spend time in writing all the code myself so I used Kinde instead.

    Computer Software

Simply the easiest authentication library available. Period.

  • December 12, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The overall ease of integration with this library is fantastic. It honestly takes me no more than 3 minutes to set everything up, which is a first for me, especially after trying numerous other authentication libraries. Besides the product itself, the customer support is excellent. I appreciate their proactive approach whenever I have a question or suggestion. They genuinely consider my feedback for potential improvements, which is quite impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there's not much to dislike. Kinde does exactly what it promises: it takes the friction out of building secure applications. The only issue I encountered recently was the lack of a webhook feature for sending emails based on specific events. However, after sending a brief email to their customer support, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they were already working on this feature, which is slated for release in early 2024.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For those times when I'm building applications that require a secure method of authentication without too much friction during development, Kinde is my go-to solution. It allows me to set up a secure authentication system within minutes. Plus, its free tier is quite generous, making it ideal for (hobby) projects that simply need a reliable way to authenticate users and protect specific pages.

Genuinely, the easiest way to get your app up and running with real users

  • December 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Kinde for all of our clients' portals. Since we implement new portals monthly it is important that setting up the basics is quick + effective. With Kinde, it is!

The customer support responds < 1d, the current SDKs are great, and implementing a full user with org and role auth flow is so easy. Integrating with an existing user base is also dumb simple.

We use this product for every release. Not only is it simple, but it is relatively cheap.

Custom authentication, although not impossible or even hard, can sometimes just be a PITA. Auth0 + Cognito, do not have the level of support that Kinde has at the moment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kinde is young, there are some features that I think need to really get done. For example, custom favicons on logins, custom no-reply email sending, and some hooks for a fully customized UI would be great.

These are all on their dev roadmap I believe. Invest early in Kinde and I have a hard time believing you will be disappointed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User Auth, Org management, Role Management, Login, Email Verification, Logout, JWT managemnt

From Casual Creator to Online Business, Kinde Fits.

  • December 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Regardless of which SDK your application is built with, implementing Kinde can be accomplished in a few short lines of code. Kinde offeres more than a dozen popular social logins giving my users the option to leverage the login of their choice. Or they can create an account just for my applicaiton. Kinde consolidates all of these logins and provides me with a single approach toward user authentication in my application. Kinde handles all user registration, logins, logouts, and more all in the same package. It looks professional, works well, and is safe. Kinde's pricing structure is very attractive to causal creators or people looking to start an online business. A developer can test the waters then upgrade the service for a very affordable price. Finally, Kinde is backed up by a substantial amount of documentation all clearly written and up to date.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints. Kinde does exactly what I need and does it well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My problem was user authentication and authorization. As a casual creator I am limited when it comes to technical ability to develop web applications. With my surrent project it was very important to me to have a secure method for users to log in. Kinde provides my application with this service in a very easy to implement package.

Exception Team and Support with Fair Pricing

  • November 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Kinde team, led by the CEO and everyone he leads has been phenomenal to deal with. They strive to deeply understand their customer's needs and operate with great integrity. Compared to their technology peers in this space, Kinde is a huge breath of fresh air.

From the technology side, incredibly easy to get up and running, with great support when you need it. Great value for money with pretty much all the features 99% of early stage tech engineers and founders will be looking for. Integrates really nicely with the most crucial enterprise and social auth providers right out of the box (I had Azure AD running inside a couple of minutes).
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally noticed small things like a particular SDK missing from the stack, however, the API made up for that so not really a big deal. Nothing bad to say about them to be honest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kinde offered us a friendlier pricing model, especially for the number of enterprise connections we required. Our previous provider's pricing model had incredibly unfair pricing once we needed more than 3 enterprise connections, resulting in the ludicrous situation where winning a single new deal requiring Active Directory (pushing us past 3 connections) could have been net cash flow negative after the required huge increase in spend with the auth provider.
