Positive experience using Workato for marketing use cases
What do you like best about the product?
It has a huge number of connectors and functionality. I can pretty much do anything I want in terms of data extraction and refinement. Source platforms limitations sometimes make it a bit hard to complete tasks, but you can always find a workaround for that using Workato. I love having access to older versions and different types of webhooks. That makes work much easier and productive. Lastly, I like using datapills when building a recipe and having access to so many formulas. This helps to format the data before sending it to the target platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I need to finds specific records in the past jobs, I cannot search all jobs. I need to know exactly the time when the record was processed in Workato to find the right job to get access to the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Workato to transfer data from many different source platforms into our marketing automation platform. All the source platforms are using different formats and different ways to send data, so Workato helps us to format everything in a way, that is aligned with the target platform. We can test data before shifting to production. Workato can handle large volumes of data. A large number of connectors allows us to connect to pretty much any platform and extract data reliably 24/7.
A Powerful Integration Platform With Enterprise-Level Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
We switched from Zapier to Workato about 2 years ago. It's been a fantastic upgrade for our client solutions. I like how it handles whatever we throw at it - from super simple data transfers to complex integrations where we've added custom code.
The platform gives us a ton of flexibility when connecting different systems together, which is crucial since each client has unique needs. After setup, integrations are rock solid - no more worrying about connections dropping or data getting lost. For our team building custom solutions across many industries, this reliability has been a huge win. We're currently supporting millions of transactions a year using the Workato platform.
Once understood, implementations are smooth and reliable. We've not needed to leverage customer support. The documentation is straightforward and robust.

What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can be challenging to navigate, particularly understanding how usage is calculated and billed. When planning for client projects, it's sometimes difficult to accurately forecast costs, which creates budgeting uncertainties. A more transparent approach to usage-based pricing or better estimation tools would be beneficial. The learning curve can also be steep for new team members, though the investment in learning the platform ultimately pays off in capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato solves our integration challenges by connecting various business systems seamlessly for our clients. Before Workato, we struggled with limited integration capabilities, unreliable connections, and scalability issues.
Seamless cloud integration facilitates automatic account creation and real-time app connections for efficient processes
What is our primary use case?
I use Workato as middleware for cloud integration within my organization. It is employed to integrate systems such as ERP and customer planning systems. The automation capabilities are particularly useful for onboarding a new employee, allowing for their access to be automatically set up across approximately twenty systems such as payroll, training portals, Salesforce, and SAP ERP.
What is most valuable?
The main benefits of Workato for me are that everything is cloud-based, eliminating the need for installation or maintenance. It allows app-to-app and real-time integrations, which significantly enhance process efficiency. When an employee joins, accounts are automatically created. Moreover, AI automation simplifies integration development by understanding requirements from prompts and creating the necessary automation.
