Automation Advocate and Integrator

  • September 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use. Operational management is easy to track through job logs. The varied API connection capability makes the speed to market / MVP much quicker and allows the automater / integrator to focus on business logic rather than low level technical connection issues.
Documentation and community questions are wide ranging meaning anything I want to investigate into further has ample information to assist me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given the nature of the platform I'm unable to develop automations / test / perform work offline. I understand why this is, and there is no easy way around it given the platform is in the cloud (which provides a number of benefits: reliability, scalability etc) - however it just means when I am offline, I can't do this work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating manual tasks.
Reducing the need to log into multiple systems by surfacing user input methods through bots.
Integrating systems by passing relevant manipulated data between systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simple to use. Definitely try it out if you are looking for an automation / integration platform.

Simplify your system integrations

What do you like best about the product?
The system is so easy and intuitive to use. We no longer need a developer to integrate our internal applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest dislike for me is the price. We're an Australian business so the currency exchange hurts us when it comes to the pricing. Otherwise I love using the Workato platform and can't fault it at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato ensures we have data consistency across all our systems as well as keeping it regularly updated when changes occur. We've also reduced the number of integration platforms we previously used down to just one.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The platform is incredible!

Key points to know:

- They're regularly releasing new features (checkout their Youtube channel).
- Support is amazing and perhaps the best I've worked with.
- The new User Experience makes the platform easy to use.
- If your app isn't listed in their app store, use the HTTP connector to integrate with it instead.

Most powerful tool to expand work automation

  • September 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Creating flow (in Workato term, it called recipe) is very easy for every type of user. We can integrate not only cloud systems but also on-premise systems. And extensibility is also good, even if they don't provide connector, we can develop the connector to integrate legacy systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, currently Workato provides only English UI. We wish they support our native language (Japanese) UI for their recipe editor and Workbot which is a chat bot provided by them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company (and many companies in Japan) has still a lot of old legacy systems and introduces, so we tried to introduce RPA to automate tasks that use such kind of systems.
But, we could automate each task but we could not automate whole business flow. And some systems were replaced to cloud system, but it was hard to automate them with RPAs since there screens are frequetnly changed.
In addition, business flow contains human dudgement. To solve this probrem, by using workato we integrated business chat (Microsoft Teams) , cloud systems and RPA to collabrate human and bots.

As a result of this integration, we could reduce working time and inprove throughput of this business.

At last, a user-friendly iPaaS solution

  • September 01, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
Workato is at long last an Enterprise Integration & Automation platform that abstracts away needless complexity and technical minutiae. Some of the things we really respect about this solution include:
- An all-in-one solution for application integration, workflow automation and BOT enablement
- A true multi-tenant environment for handling different clients/environments seamlessly
- Super-simple to render on-premise apps or databases as a cloud endpoint
- Easy to understand. If you can read English and are comfortable with Excel formulas you can get a long-way with Workato
- A true NOCODE platform. No need for coding skills to get a long way with this
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all good things, there are some areas with challenges. In our view debugging could be easier, but over time you can learn to live with this in its present form. Thankfully, documentation is good and technical assistance from the vendor is easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have already achieved a lot with Workato. The main points to call out include:
- Simply connecting on-premise platforms into Cloud workflows
- Building endpoints in a short-space of time for more obscure platforms
- Built sophisticated recipes drawing on Callable Recipes to help modularise and simplify complex challenges
- Reducing the time and cost taken to deliver solutions to our client that are both reliable and maintainable. Not a coder in sight
- Overall, reduced the cost and improved the results for our clients across a multitude of platforms and environments.

Fixes my problems

  • August 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, very light dev work. The UI is super intuitive so my admins are able to easily troubleshoot and manage new workflows. The on boarding process was also great -super helpful staff that went above and beyond.

It's super extensible and we can connect to anything with api endpoints, including our internal systems.

Pricing is super friendly, too. It's easy to project my budget and ROI since it's based on recipe and workflow automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
They could use more native integrations -Zapier is definitely more extensive so we end up using a little more direct HTTP APIs than I want (which requires me to engage a developer) -Biz Dev team seems pretty engaged, though and we can get integrations made when necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to integrate advanced workflows between 5 or 6 SaaS softwares and our internal native system. We've been able to remove several HC worth of manual work and our follow-up activities are much more timely.

iPaaS that allows non-engineer business users to maintain flows

  • August 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We automated tasks that were manually performed in the company using Workato. As an engineer, I respond to business user requests by creating recipes in Workato. The great thing about Workato is that after creating a recipe, you can entrust its operation and maintenance to the user who made the request. When creating a recipe, I make it partway and then leave the rest to them. This approach allows for quick adaptation to field additions and changes in conditions, making it more efficient.

The GUI of Workato is intuitive, so when I explain it, I often hear "I want to try it." The biggest attraction is that business users can modify recipes to suit their requirements and check error logs.

Since the logic can be easily modified, we can discuss and improve our operations while also updating the recipes.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can manage recipe versions, but it's unclear where changes were made in each version. It would be good if you could view the differences between versions and add comments to them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementing Workato, the tasks of "downloading CSV files from the reception system" and "importing CSV into the step mail system," which were done manually, have been automated, reducing the daily 30-minute task to just 1 second. Different types of data required separate downloads and CSV imports, and manual handling often led to mistakes. Mistakes were unavoidable.
By implementing Workato, it was enough to just check the results on Slack. Labor-saving and error prevention were achieved in a short period (about 3 days).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it to those who need to respond quickly and flexibly to changes in business.

Workato has been very easy to understand and implement into our business

  • August 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
* Extensive library of community recipes to refer to as a starting point
* Excellent support from onboarding team
* Really fast and easy to building and manage integrations
* Real-time responses from support team via the live chat feature
What do you dislike about the product?
Make more prebuilt connectors available so we can use Workato more!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had to establish an integration between Jira and NetSuite to automate the flow of data for timesheeting an invoicing. This has improved our ability to produce more accurate reports with real-time sync and minimise human errors on manual tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend Workato for anyone looking for an iPaaS solution for their business. It is very easy to setup and navigate the platform - took us only two weeks from initial set up to testing and implementing the recipes in our environment and ready for deployment.
