Workato, the Superman of SaaS
What do you like best about the product?
Workato's easy-to-use API and VAST library of connections make this my favorite iPass by far. I've worked in Sytems/Integration deployment for years and it usually takes a village to create and validate an enterprise-level integration. Workato lets me create functionality in minutes which makes for happy end users and a happy Admin.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I "dislike" is the level of complexity it takes to create a Custom Connector. I would love if there was a better "Wizard" to help guide me through the process better. The current "wizard" isn't all that helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scalability. We are growing rapidly, and this tool has enabled us to maintain our lean IT Team while deploying integrations and saving time across the company.
A True Partner for Embedded Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is lightweight from a UI point of view while still being incredibly powerful. As a software provider, I'm extremely impressed by this balance. The most important takeaway is that I have complete confidence that I can deliver on my customers' requirements, allowing me to sell with confidence. Moreover, the level of service and client care that I've experienced throughout the entire client lifecycle is beyond compare. The sales experience not only informed me, but also guided me towards understanding the best practices of my peers. I was very refreshed to have Rodrigo challenge me where appropriate and have the depth of knowledge to give me the confidence that they weren't selling me a product, Workato was partnering with my firm on a strategic level. Since the sales process, the team that has supported me combine a high degree of competence with responsiveness & reliability.
I'm not sure which I could recommend higher, the team or the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
The debugger console is sometimes unclear, though that is dependent on the API's of the systems integrated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're integrating our platform with all the other 3rd party systems our clients use. Benefits are growing each day, but we're growing NRR and improving stickiness of existing client base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I surveyed the market of competitors for 6 months, save yourself the time and start here.
Powerful, easy to navigate solution.
What do you like best about the product?
I've tried a number of IPaSS products and Workato is by far the most powerful and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of cool feature releases. I'd like to stay better on top of them... but that's really on me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data manipulation and extraction is easy in workato. It allows me to do developer work without a developer. .
Highly Recommend, Incredibly Powerful Platform
What do you like best about the product?
- It does what it's supposed to do!!!
- Love how we can configure the job history output to see which jobs were successful/failed
- Error handling and monitoring capabilities are excellent, allows users to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
- Endless possibilities to easily connect third-party applications, which empowers users that don't necessarily sit in a technical organization to build seemingly complex automated processes

What do you dislike about the product?
- Possible steep learning curve. Users of Workato should have at least some understanding of databases, understand data types, and have explicit goals around what issues you'll be using to solve using Workato. While it was pretty intuitive for me to use the platform, there is a bit of a learning curve for folks who are not familiar with using APIs. Without this background, business users might find Workato a little too complicated and a lot more difficult/complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Our go-to-market organization (sales/marketing/success) had several JIRA tickets outstanding with our engineering team for over nine months. Workato allowed the GTM organization to resolve and close out these long-standing tickets quickly.
- Many of our previous data pipelines were created by folks that are no longer at the company. Workato enabled the GTM / Business Operations teams to quickly re-establish these pipelines to ensure no downtime on downstream activities that impacted our sales teams.
- Workato allows us to have more control over the data going between different applications without the need to rely on data engineers to both build and maintain these pipelines.

What do you dislike about the product?
- This is not necessarily a dislike, more an observation, but I have had to structure the recipes in such a way to limit licences used, so they may not be at their optimum configuration
- I would like to see an enhancement that allows parallel processing of components - this is hard to achieve with the linear design as it is

Incredible controls to implement a hybrid governance model!
What do you like best about the product?
Workato gave us the necessary controls to implement our required hybrid governance model efficiently and securely. Within a couple of years, we have certified close to 100 chefs throughout our company as citizen integrators. Our governance framework ensures that all business use cases solved by Workato deliver automation solutions of the highest quality, reliability and without introducing business risk or disruption.
We directly attribute the success of this company-wide adoption to the ingenuity of the Workato Product. It has proven intuitive enough to be quickly picked up by our analyst teams and powerful enough to be leveraged extensively by our engineering and development communities.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if SCIM User provisioning were available to allow us to provision users and roles within our internal systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have implemented 100+ use cases across just about all of our company teams. Recipes focused on efficiency gains have allowed us to automate highly manual processes flattening our hiring curve for many teams. Other recipes have had direct impact on our sales and retention numbers. One of our largest benefits has been the streamlining data between our teams and various SaaS systems and in some case offering up a completely new 360 view of a process that is spread across multiple teams and systems. Also, the ability to quickly build Slack modal applications has been a game changer from a user experience perspective.
