Great for Driving Engineering Excellence
What do you like best about the product?
DX provides us with comprehensive, actionable insights into the health and performance of our Engineering organization. From DORA/Core4 metrics to Developer Experience surveys and AI adoption impact, it helps us make informed, data-driven decisions. The team’s responsiveness and willingness to partner with us make it a truly valuable collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the platform’s reporting and configuration options can feel somewhat limited when we want deeper or more customized views. That said, DX is actively improving these areas, and we’ve seen continuous enhancements over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX gives us clear, data-driven insights into engineering performance, developer experience, and AI adoption. It helps us make better decisions, improve processes, and show progress across the organization.
DX Delivers Actionable Insights and Continuous Improvement for Developer Experience
What do you like best about the product?
DX quickly provides us with valuable and actionable insights into our developer experience challenges. By combining qualitative feedback from developer surveys with quantitative metrics like DORA and flow data, it becomes much easier to pinpoint the sources of friction.
The benchmarks offered by DX are extremely helpful—it would be nearly impossible for us to gather and interpret this kind of comparative data on our own. While we could technically conduct similar surveys ourselves, the real advantage is in how DX interprets and contextualises the results for us.
The ability to compare current and previous surveys is also a major strength, as it allows us to track our progress over time and assess the impact of our initiatives. I particularly appreciate being able to explore survey findings in greater depth through dedicated follow-up studies, which help us identify patterns and concentrate on the areas that matter most.
Lastly, DX is evolving rapidly, and I am eager to see what new features are on the horizon. After using it for over a year, we've seen significant improvements in developer experience, which gives us confidence in their long-term vision and makes the partnership feel secure for the future.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any major complaints about DX — their support is consistently direct and fast, which makes working with the platform a smooth experience.
There are a few areas where enhancements could further improve things. For instance, it would be helpful if survey feedback from engineers were collected on an ongoing basis, allowing for continuous refinement of the surveys and a better overall experience.
Additionally, the triaging process could benefit from a feature that lets leads leave comments, offering more context or explanations for their decisions.
These are relatively minor suggestions, and overall, DX’s strong emphasis on team performance and developer experience is the main reason we continue to use the platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we started using DX, we struggled with a fragmented view of developer experience and team health. Our survey results and metrics were dispersed across different sources, which made it difficult to pinpoint bottlenecks or track our progress over time. DX addresses this challenge by bringing together qualitative survey feedback and quantitative data, such as DORA and flow metrics, while also offering benchmarks and context that help turn insights into actionable steps.
Thanks to this, we are now able to prioritise improvements more effectively, monitor our progress, and make more informed decisions at both the team and leadership levels. Additionally, DX enables us to better engage our engineers by capturing their authentic experiences and using that feedback to drive meaningful change.

DX Delivers Powerful Insights and Excellent Support, with Room for Improved Data Navigation
What do you like best about the product?
DX is an amazing product; it provides deep insights into the productivity and performance of our engineering teams right out of the box. And has also served as a platform to help drive several efficiency initiatives. It's easy to use and was very simple to get up and running. The customer support has been phenomenal, both the account and engineering teams have been very engaged with us throughout. We often use DX metrics reviews in our management meetings and within teams as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
While SQL support is available; I would love to see even more native tooling to help with navigating data easier. Would like the ability to unlock even more value by enabling quick/easy access regardless of skill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We monitor typical DORA and other Platform Engineering related metrics; we have also driven good DX usage within our teams so that Managers leverage it in their weekly standups with their teams to review team health metrics as well as reviewing quarterly developer experience surveys.
One of the best choices we made
What do you like best about the product?
The insights provided after taking the snapshots are both valuable and actionable. I found the information to be very helpful in running the operations of my development group. It helps tremendously to improve the sentiment of the people and improve our ways of working. Last but not least is that the response rate is always very high (100% or slightly below) - this can only be because our techies appreciate the tool and purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up and integrating all systems to ensure data flows in properly is essential. In addition to our own work, we also depended on consultancy from DX, which, by the way, was excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool provides clear insights into where our developers encounter difficulties, highlighting factors that may reduce their motivation or make their contributions less effective within our operations. Additionally, it offers a transparent view of how our performance compares to industry standards.
Excellent support and actionable engineering insights
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about DX is how quickly we were able to get value from it - it was up and running within weeks and gave us immediate visibility across our engineering teams. During our POC, we saw a 100% survey response rate, the highest we’ve ever seen. I also appreciate how it blends DORA metrics with real-time feedback to provide a complete view of developer experience. The built-in industry benchmarks help us understand where we stand relative to peers, and the proactive alerts with recommendations are a valuable bonus. We also had an excellent experience with the DX team - our customer success manager, account manager, and program manager were all incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
While DX offers custom reporting, there’s a bit of a learning curve to fully tailor it to different stakeholder needs. As we’re still early in our adoption, we’re also building up historical data, so long-term trends will take time to develop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before DX, I spent too much time piecing together metrics and survey feedback manually. Now, I get a unified, high-level view with actionable insights - saving time and making it easier to support our teams effectively.
Transformative insights and tooling for modern engineering teams
What do you like best about the product?
DX has been incredibly easy to use and integrate into our existing workflows. Their support team is consistently responsive and proactive, and the pace at which they ship meaningful improvements is impressive. Beyond the product itself, what really sets DX apart is their thought leadership in developer experience and productivity. The content, research, and frameworks they share have been hugely valuable in shaping how we approach developer experience at Paddle, and in my own understanding of what good looks like in this space.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much to dislike. The only limitation we’ve hit is that the Linear integration isn’t yet as full-featured as the JIRA one, but I know it’s something they’re actively improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX gives us clear visibility into how efficiently our engineering department is operating — where work is flowing smoothly, and where bottlenecks or friction points exist. It helps us move beyond anecdotal feedback and gut feel by providing data-driven insights into developer productivity and experience. It’s also made it far easier to communicate how engineering is performing to our executive team, using concrete metrics rather than just vibes.
Powerful Analytics and White Glove Service
What do you like best about the product?
DX is an easy-to-use platform that allows me to build reports that I find most important for my team. Their in-slack communication is lightning fast, and issue resolution (though rarely needed) is as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of right now, DX only offers PM Tool integration with Jira and Linear, neither of which our teams use, so we miss out on some pretty important insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX allows us to capture insights from our engineers via the quarterly survey, as well as capture metrics to help understand where we can improve in our processes.
Excellent tool for tracking developer experience and focus on what matters.
What do you like best about the product?
DX has many great features, for my one of the most useful ones is the time line of all drivers that are being tracked. It allows me to keep an eye on how the most important aspects of the dev team is evolving. It's easy to see for instance how the team's opinion on out CICD process has changed and with the correct pairing between this data and action items, you can see as a manager what has been effective or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
As all platforms, there are things to improve, some times is hard to account for free time, fot instance vacations. A dev being out for a couple weeks still affects metrics, this forces some times to rely on external notes to correlate for the dip in the metric. There should be a better way for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dx assists our team in monitoring our developers' experience by highlighting what matters most to us. It also provides a framework for any plans we want to implement to drive improvements.
Clear, actionable insights into engineering health
What do you like best about the product?
DX makes it simple to capture meaningful insights from our teams without adding extra burden. The snapshots are lightweight but bring out valuable and comparable data, and the aggregated dashboards give leadership visibility while still allowing you to drill down into team specific issues. The DX team has also been excellent in supporting integration and adoption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because DX highlights so many actionable topics, the challenge becomes ensuring consistent follow-up. The tool gives you clarity, but it’s still up to the org to prioritize, integrate into workflows, and drive accountability. Stronger automation around action items would make this even more powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX gives us a clear view of engineering health across teams. It helps surface friction points, highlight what’s working well, and turn that into actionable improvements we can track over time.
Journey on enhancing developer experience on my teams
What do you like best about the product?
Having the data that provides insights that confirm some hunches that we had as a team. We knew some things needed to be improved but didn't have the data to know what we should target. DX provided exactly that. With a click of a button, I can look exactly the data that I want, and it's integrated into the tools that we area already using.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of data, I wish there was some way to customize the dashboards so that I can look only at charts that I'm interested in, even if they're from different sections of DX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving some bottlenecks on the team as well as getting insights on how the team is feeling and what is on their priority list.
