Rich developer feedback at scale

  • December 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DX provides a single, trusted view of developer experience by combining rich, quarterly survey feedback with signals from our delivery tools. We don’t just see what’s happening, we understand why. With team-level visibility and benchmarks, the platform enables easy triage of issues, prioritization of investments, and tracking of progress without resorting to individual surveillance. The wealth of survey data (structured drivers plus free-text insights) consistently reveals the real friction in our day-to-day (think CI reliability, code review flow, and time for deep work) and converts that into an actionable roadmap.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the challenges we've had is integrating our systems-level data into the platform. This is largely due to our years of bespoke internal implementations and the challenge of retrofitting them into something that DX can use. However, it does mean that we have yet to start using the entirety of the platform to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX provides us with a unified, trusted view by combining system telemetry (cycle time, deployments, code review flow) with quarterly survey signals, allowing us to see both what’s happening and why it’s happening.

By giving us team-level insights with industry benchmarks, our managers and ICs are now triaging friction in their teams, prioritizing investments, and tracking progress responsibly. This has allowed us to focus at a company level on higher-order concerns that are impacting multiple teams, and giving us the visibility into these problems that we've historically not been able to see across a large organization.

Unified Insights and Outstanding Support Elevate Developer Experience

  • December 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DX serves as our primary platform for gathering data about developer experience and productivity. DX has provided us with a single access point and a unified view for data from different platforms. The ease of filtering and slicing by teams and attributes has helped us better understand the performance of different teams. The snapshot feature has enabled us to drive multiple efficiency initiatives and produce measurable impact on developer experience and velocity. Another key feature is the ability to compare our metrics to similar organizations, which has helped us better understand areas that require improvement and simplified our reporting.

These initiatives have been supported by the continuous assistance from the excellent DX Team throughout implementation and beyond. The team is always ready to answer our questions and has helped us align multiple reports to fit our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The default defect ratio reporting uses a different methodology than our internal innovation and defect tracking processes. While the current approach works for us, we're looking forward to an upcoming feature that will allow us to customize reporting to better align with our specific tracking methods.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX solved our developer experience measurement and tracking problem. It allows us to make informed decisions and drive efficiency projects based on data. We can clearly track which initiatives are working and which aren't, enabling us to iterate quickly.

This capability has been particularly critical for measuring the impact of our various GenAI for Engineering initiatives. DX integrated seamlessly with our toolchain and provided the metrics we needed to accurately capture ROI on these investments.

Another key benefit has been gathering accurate feedback from engineering teams specifically about the development process. In the past, company-wide surveys were a constant struggle to capture this information effectively. The targeted comments from engineering teams have already helped us reshape various internal processes and prioritize improvements that matter most to developers.

Insightful AI Reports and Intuitive Interface

  • December 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The AI utilization and impact reports are my favorite. I like to explore how different teams and team members use AI and what impact that usage has on their projects.
The interface is easy to use and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't been able to find a "Dark Mode" setting. That'd be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a custom report for "AI Usage" that helps us analyse AI interactions and score between org members. I look at it a few times a day to know who's a heavy AI user and who I can reach out to ask questions about AI, etc.
Also I use the reports to identify teams using AI, when I find a team using AI heavily and if I know they are using a similar stack, I reach out to share best practices and prompts.

Empowering Insights and Anonymous Feedback Platform

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the insights it provides and that it gives my direct reports a great platform to anonymously give their opinions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do find the UI hard to navigate at times. Specifically, how to find feedback from my direct reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us as engineering leaders find gaps and pain points within the org. Also, being able to compare to the rest of the industry is insightful.

Straightforward One-Stop Shop for Team Feedback and Growth

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- very straightforward
- one stop shop for getting team feedback, assessing team health, and being able to improve my own managing based upon it.
- I like being able to see industry metrics and that I can see how my team specifically compares to the wider org.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a huge fan of having the comments and ratings side by side in the overall view. I think I'd like it more if comments were shown when I clicked on a specific category instead of seeing a comment, having to go look for the category its referring to and then assessing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, the main benefit and problem its solving is assessing team health. It enables me to get a pulse on how my team and processes are performing and different potential pain points my engineers are facing.

Excellent for Anonymous Team Feedback

  • December 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very good at getting feedback about the team's performance in an aggregated anonymous way
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very rigid in how many days it takes to do things. Like i would love a more lightweight frequent option and a longer term one where i can run it quarterly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX provides information about the team's thoughts that they wouldn't necessarily air out to me

I came for the survey features; I stayed for everything else and more

  • December 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DX combines the best aspects of your favorite tools for managing software teams. It blends qualitative and quantitative data points, so you can drive the most impactful improvements for your teams.
Their customer success team is also second to none. They do everything they can to ensure you and your teams get full value from their software. They are also very responsive with product feedback. They take a customized approach so that our most specific problems can be solved.
What do you dislike about the product?
DX's biggest strength is being able to combine and/or replace a lot of software productivity tools, but then it's also spread thin competing across different software solutions and problem spaces. This may leave you desiring feature parity with the ultra specialized tools (e.g. more dynamic reporting generation). But the customer success team does a great job helping you navigate each problem space to find the right balanced solution for your needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Identifying productivity and developer experience trends at micro and macro levels
- Streamlining survey feedback to tackle the most impactful issues
- Reducing tool fatigue by consolidating a lot of features

A clear look into engineering health and team success for continuous improvement

  • December 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the DX platform because it gives me a real-time, holistic view of our engineering health and the underlying dynamics that shape how our teams build. It surfaces meaningful signals — not just metrics — that help me understand where friction exists, where teams are thriving, and where targeted support can drive the greatest impact. With DX, I can partner more effectively with engineering leadership to make data-informed decisions, anticipate challenges before they escalate, and champion the operational and cultural changes that truly move the organization forward. Ultimately, the platform empowers me to focus our energy in the right places, improve how we work, and enable our teams to deliver with greater clarity, confidence, and momentum. We've been able to connect with new platforms we use like Amp and Firebender to track AI adoption very easily, so I'd say ease of use and implementation are also great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The snapshots and reports are very helpful. Sometimes I find it hard to sift through data and slice it by the right attributes. There are a lot of attributes and I find myself having to ask our DX support team to help me get the right comparisons of control groups, etc. They are very helpful and I can always rely on them to support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX helps us understand where engineering teams are thriving and where they're feeling friction. As an AI Enablement program lead and champion at Underdog, I'm very interested in how teams are leveraging AI, and we've been able to adapt our quarterly snapshots to ingest that information easily and pivot our AI enablement strategy accordingly. It not just helps us understand data on org health, it also helps us action them effectively to continuously improve.
