Intacct is awesome
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct is modern and amazing at reporting
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way you have to do order entry with bins per item.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
order entry is helping us to hit the correct accounts in different entities
Fully integratable
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct integrates with most software seamlessly or with the aid of a connector. Excellent community and learning center. Although more of the learning programs should be free since the subscription itself is so costly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating checklists could be easier. Color coding on financial reports could be improved (having separate sections for revenue & expenses).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating journal entries for prepaids and accruals to relieve the administrative burden during month end close. It is not difficult to post manual payments if our outside AP platform misses or doesn't sync properly.
I've used the system for over 12 years, I'm a huge fan.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize fields, dimensions, reports, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I'm a big fan. There is always room for improvement. I would like to see improvements in the inter-entity receivables and amortization module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are growing. I've added 25 entities to our system in the last month. Adding a new entity, setting up bank accounts, etc. is very easy.
Great Intuitive all in one Solution!
What do you like best about the product?
A very robust solution that has really helped us eliminate the need for complicated spreadsheets, Comprehensive Reporting, Multidimensional coding which allows for maximum customization and analytics, Many 3rd party API's and integrations making data configuration from one platform to another more streamlined. We consider Intacct to be our all-in-one nucleus of data and source of truth that is not only robust and comprehensive but also allows all of our financial and statistical data to flow into, in order to always have a clear picture holistically of where we are as an organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a complex non-profit organization utilizing many different softwares for our needs and some of the third-party platforms we use such as Concur for invoicing and expense management due to the OCR technology and approval workflows are a necessity for us. However, this makes data mapping very complex and costly depending on the software and not all 3rd parties are able to streamline mapping as well as others both capability and cost-wise. Intacct is also a costly solution however depending on your unique ROI it can be justifiable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Elimination of complex spreadsheets, On-demand reporting, scheduled reporting, seamless integration with budget management software in real-time, ability to create complex tags by projects, departments, locations, restrictions and entities which is a must for many non-profits. The ability to also generate, save, and email any report directly from the platform is also key for our organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be patient during integration it will take time to get your environment functioning in accordance with complex needs however once it is you will certainly not be disappointed! If possible consider using another party to help facilitate such as AcctTwo which helped in our case tremendously, streamlining communication, and customizing our platform set up with a dedicated integration specialist who was with us for the entirety of the integration and beyond.
Perfect Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct provides the perfect solution for companies' financial reporting needs. In today's day and age, a reporting solution in the cloud provides speed and convenience compared to older solutions. Intacct consistently releases updates every quarter and constantly improves the experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Intacct is a great solution for our company however it does suffer from things like the speed at times to view reports and posting items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned, Intacct provides a great solution for financial reporting. Easy to work with as a cloud software.
Sage pretty easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Sage has been easy to use to add and inactive employees into the system which interface with the payroll side very easy, you can easily trace the audit trails what the use have done on the system, its not complicated as it is easy to train users on the system. Reports can be printed very easy and are real times even the tax tables are updated on the annual basis as per MEC of Finance gazetted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its customization of the system might be not promoting the paperless system as the organisation, we are trying to promote such to save trees to improve the environment, the sage system didn't able to integrate with our financial system seamless which our accountant required to perform manual integration in other run our budget against the payroll which was quite challenging for the organisation but Sage customer service were very pro-active to assist with the challenge how ever it was quite complex but worked temporary but still was not fixed 100% therefor the Sage intacct was upgrade to Sage 300 people

Sage work very well for the institution and i recommend other companies to utilize it services and provide you with real time information especial for payroll.

What do you like best about the product?
Intacct is the best cloud based accounting system I've used as an accountant. It's reporting features, user permissions, and breadth of modules gives either a staff accountant or an external accountant the power to really dive into the books.
What do you dislike about the product?
For clients who don't need a robust an accounting system, Sage Intacct can be overwhelming or counter productive to use. Although it can do some heavy lifting and provide a lot of internal detail, smaller businesses and organizations may not need everything it offers and could find a more lightweight and less expensive solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can now share detailed accounting systems with clients who may have a staff accountant on site but need either controller or CFO services from our accounting firm. With the complexity of some of their systems, sharing a Quickbooks file or trying to run their finances in QBO just isn't feasible. Sage Intacct lets us manage their accounting while letting them handle the day to day input.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of their in person and on demand training opportunities. There's a lot to work with in Intacct and their trainers are excellent at taking you through the basics and advanced features.
A very powerful software for finance in growing companies.
What do you like best about the product?
I like it for being very understandable, it has a very modern interface and easy to intrude other users, I like its reports, the way to generate and print it has enchanted me, I can say that it is quite powerful software and visually enamored me, it has a fairly long trial period to know all these characteristics and functionalities, I like that the financial balances are practical and easy to empty at the end of each month, for example bank reconciliations in conjunction with the daily and major book, they are spectacular, of I really like this software very much, I have almost everything on one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like having to redo invoices every time the client changes offices, a fact that happened to me recently, was that I invoiced a client of the company, but the request was made to one of its branches, and it was already registered to the principal and the software I request to change the client ID to be able to re-invoice it, and it really takes a long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to relate and rationalize all accounting processes through this software, now I can keep accounts open with the most distinguished clients of the company, without any mishap the client can now request any information regarding the billing without any problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a fairly broad platform, I just have to tell you that you should evaluate your investment well, since it is a very powerful software that points its gaze to large companies, with a bit more cumbersome accounting.
Great product, great User Interface!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the speed of processing and the user interface. The system is easy to navigate and easy to find the report, account, Journal entry that I am looking for. I like the ability to color-code entities, to as assurance that I am in the correct entity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The prepaid module sometimes says it has posted an amortization schedule but a GL number doesn't populate so, in fact, it did not post. Which then requires an analysis of what did and did not post. Secondly, the reporting is good but could be better. We opted to not upgrade to the drag and drop so creating reports is time-consuming, but once you a template, it's generally easy to manipulate that one to create others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intacct helps automate the accounting work so less time is spent manually inputting data into the system and we have more time to analyze the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's an overall great tool and they seem to take recommendations from the community to make it a better product.
Implementing Sage Intacct has been a great benefit to our Company
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Sage Intacct is the product is accessible from outside the office. I know a lot of General Ledgers have this capability currently, however coming from Quickbooks this is the best advantage to switching. Intacct also has a wide range of learning centers, help centers, or other resources for users to gain additional training or knowledge on the product and it's modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Intacct is whenever I experience an issue the first thing that I am directed to do is log a support case within the Intacct community. Although the question that I have may seem general or moreso informational it can be frustrating to constantly be referred to log a case. However, I also feel that this is not necessarily a large issue as it just shows that the software has a huge employee-base of support to assist with questions and they need a way to ensure the best support department attacks your problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Intacct has increased not only my everyday efficiencies within my job, but also those for my team. Intacct has allowed my department to provide more visibility to other management within our Company through scheduled financial reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Implementation can be stressful with any conversion to a new GL. Utilize the resources that Intacct provides including your Project Manager. Make sure that the implementer is able to dedicate time and energy to this project specifically and ensure that they are provided enough time to train on the use of the software prior to the go live date.
