Comprehensive and insightful platform for streaming analytics
What do you like best about the product?
One of the most useful aspects of Conviva is how easily I can drill down from the main widget—especially SPI (Startup Performance Index)—to view all associated dimensions. Whether it's device, region, ISP, or player type, the ability to instantly see detailed performance breakdowns gives actionable insight into streaming health. The platform is intuitive and fast, which helps a lot in operational triaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I click on SPI in the Trends platform, all the dimension metrics (like CIRR, VPF-T, VSF-T) get collapsed or stagnated, requiring me to manually re-click and expand each individual metric again. This adds unnecessary steps and affects the flow of quick data exploration. It would be great if these dimensions stayed expanded or loaded dynamically based on the initial SPI click.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conviva helps in real-time diagnosis of streaming quality issues across platforms like iOS, Android, and ATV. It provides granular visibility into user experience metrics, enabling faster resolution of playback errors, buffering spikes, and platform-specific degradations. This significantly improves decision-making for engineering and support teams, helping us ensure a smooth viewing experience for end-users.

What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Conviva for streaming analytics, and the experience has been largely positive. It offers real-time visibility into key metrics like video start time, buffering ratio, bitrate, and user engagement, which is crucial for ensuring high QoE (Quality of Experience) for our viewers.
One of Conviva’s strongest features is its low-latency, per-session data granularity, which helps our operations team debug issues quickly and our product teams make informed decisions.

Steep Learning Curve: Takes time to understand the schema, build queries, and use dashboards effectively.
Limited Historical Depth: Retention of raw session data can be limited unless archived separately.
UI Can Be Overwhelming: Interface is powerful but not always intuitive for new or occasional users.
Analytics for VPF and VSF Should be like Crashlitics where a defnete pattern and visiblity of UI Should be there which help us a lot on analyzing data

One thing I’d say could be improved is the setup process—it can feel a bit complicated at first. Once you’re past that, though, everything runs pretty smoothly.

Conviva is solving the problem of tracking and optimizing streaming performance in real time. It helps me quickly spot issues and improve the user experience without all the guesswork. It’s definitely made managing performance a lot easier and more efficient.

The option to choose what we want to monitor or what we want to visualize is really good,
The dashboards creations with the selected filter saves a lot of time

In the saved dashboards, the time selection should have more option like last 30 days last 7 days which includes current time as well would be good.

It gives good insight in streaming issues in the LIVE population

The layouts are all good, easy to navigate and customize, and pretty clear.

Sometimes the minute details can get lost, or are a little harder than I would like to get out of the charts.

What do you like best about the product?
Throughout my time working my company I have used the Conviva tool to review the streaming data with detail analysis based on time which this tool captures every minute detail very perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing found to be disliked about this tool, as technology gets updated frequently based on the expectations of usage and UI development to make it much easier to navigate.

Streaming issues related issues, to know customer data if account is used to stream or not, identify errors in streaming like buffering, speed of internet connection, total benchmarks of live or replay videos.
