monday dev: Excellent for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
What I really appreciate about Monday dev is that it feels like a blend of Google Docs with a wide array of project management and tracking tools. Its collaborative features are especially valuable for managers and anyone involved in cross-functional work. Using it has taught me a great deal about the fundamentals of project management, making it a tool I truly value.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations with other apps and AI tools still need improvement. Although these features are promoted within the app, I haven't found them to be practical in real-world use. Another drawback, which many people can probably relate to in today's digital environment, is the inconvenience of switching between my main app, Slack, and Monday. Since Slack now offers many of the same features as Monday.com, such as boards and lists, I tend to use Slack's versions just to avoid the hassle of moving between different apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and consolidating multiple resources into a unified place. It also allows for significantly easier version control and collaboration than traditional tools, such as Microsoft Word.
Great tool to keep projects on track
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about monday dev is how easy it makes it to keep everything organized and visible for the whole team. You can track progress, assign tasks, and see updates in real time without having to chase people for info. It just keeps projects moving smoothly and helps everyone stay on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes monday dev can feel a bit slow or confusing when you’re trying to find specific settings or features. There’s so many options that it takes a bit to get used to it, and some things could be more intuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monday dev helps us bring together the design, development, project management, and business analysis teams so we can all interact in the same space and work on the same project. It makes it easier to keep track of progress, updates, and priorities without losing communication between areas.
Powerful once you get past the setup curve
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about monday dev is how it combines agile project management with real-time visibility into the team’s progress. The integration with GitHub and the engineering performance dashboard make it incredibly easy to track velocity, spot bottlenecks, and keep everyone aligned. It turns complex development cycles into clear, actionable insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about monday dev is that the setup and customization process can feel overwhelming at first. There are many automations and views to configure, and it takes some time before everything flows smoothly. Once the initial learning curve is over, though, it becomes much easier to manage.

At Scalya Growth, monday dev has been a game-changer in aligning our marketing, product, and tech teams. We use it to manage client projects, track development sprints, and connect tasks directly to campaign deliverables. It solved our biggest problem: lack of visibility between departments. Now, everyone works from the same source of truth, and we can clearly see what’s moving, what’s blocked, and what’s generating results. This clarity has improved communication, accountability, and overall delivery speed for our clients.
Streamlines Sprint Organization with Seamless GitHub Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it integrates with GitHub. When we submit a pull request (PR), the PR gets added to the ticket automatically and gets marked for review. Once the PR gets merged, monday dev automatically completes the ticket. It's also helped with organizing sprints and streamlining tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can lag quite a bit sometimes when we're pulling up our boards. The information displayed can be inconsistent. For instance, when I access the My Work view while in monday dev, tasks only show updates and no other info, but if I hit refresh, it'll take me to monday work management and I can see the complete info for each task. Dates for tasks can also change spontaneously, so I have to refresh for the dates to be corrected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team used to manually add PRs to tickets and do a lot of manual ticket management, but with monday dev it's a bit easier because it automates those steps for us. Our workflow is also more organized now because we're able to use monday dev to implement sprints.
All-in-One Dev Workspace That Streamlines Collaboration and Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
What stands out most about monday dev is how seamlessly it brings every stage of the development lifecycle into one visual workspace. I love that I can manage product roadmaps, sprint planning, bug tracking, and release workflows all in one place — without needing to jump between multiple tools.
The customizable boards and automation recipes make it easy to tailor processes to our team’s workflow, whether it’s managing agile sprints or tracking feature requests. The real-time updates and integrations with GitHub, Jira, Slack, and other dev tools help everyone stay aligned, reduce manual updates, and keep projects moving efficiently.
Overall, it combines the flexibility of monday.com with the structure and visibility that modern dev teams need.

What do you dislike about the product?
While monday dev is a powerful and flexible platform, there’s a bit of a learning curve at the start — especially when setting up more advanced automations or complex board structures. Some integrations, like Git or Jira syncs, can take extra configuration to get working exactly as expected.
I’ve also noticed that with large teams or heavy boards, performance can occasionally slow down, and the pricing tiers can add up quickly as you scale.
That said, once everything is configured, the benefits far outweigh these small drawbacks — the visibility, collaboration, and workflow clarity it provides make it worth the initial setup effort.

As a web design business, monday dev helps us keep every project, task, and client deliverable completely organized from concept to launch. Before using it, we relied on scattered tools and long email threads, which made it easy for things to slip through the cracks — especially when juggling multiple client websites at different stages.
With monday dev, we’ve centralised everything — design requests, feedback, content deadlines, and developer handoffs — into one visual dashboard. It’s eliminated confusion about project status, improved accountability across the team, and made our workflow far more efficient.

Fully Customizable with Seamless Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Fully customizable to our needs and holds multiple integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of. We migrated from Workspace to Dev and since then everything works smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're doing sprint planning, backlog and sprint management, as well as internal customer support and ongoing conversations, all in one place.
A Flexible and Visual Tool for Managing Development Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how intuitive and flexible the platform is for managing development workflows. It allows me to customize boards to match the way my team works, which makes collaboration much smoother. I also like how easy it is to track progress visually and integrate with other tools, which reduces the need for manual updates. Overall, it helps me stay on top of priorities and deadlines without feeling overwhelmed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the amount of features can feel overwhelming, especially when setting up more advanced automations or integrations. There’s a bit of a learning curve if you want to get the most out of the platform, and occasionally I notice that certain features could be more optimized for speed. The pricing for additional seats and add-ons can also feel high for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monday dev helps us centralize project and task management, providing better visibility across teams and clearer deadline tracking. It reduces rework, improves cross-functional collaboration, and speeds up decision-making. It also makes it easier to prioritize activities and connect workflows that were previously spread across different tools.
Monday, an essential task management tool for my day-to-day!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like it because it is a tool that integrates everything I need to manage my tasks, my documents, and my deliveries during my workday.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has improved a lot, but we still have problems with support from the Monday team. For example, we have API integration with Power BI, and many of the updates that come in affect our semantic model, and we never get a solution from the Monday team. We always have to look for a solution in the community. As I am a Data Engineer, this is the point I see as most crucial and disruptive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The organization of the creation of our data products is fully managed via Monday. This organization of teams, tasks, and documents effectively guides the team and gives agility to the construction of our solutions. Today, Monday solves the problem of organization and visualization of team activities, which is common in many companies; the lack of workload visibility hinders the target and planning of teams, and at this point, Monday helps a lot.
Best project management tool I've used
What do you like best about the product?
It's clean and simple, yet robust and powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat confusing that it's separate from the other Monday.com tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my team track projects and communicate with one another. This makes our work feel more streamlined and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
Project Managers Dream Work OS
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about monday dev is the cross collaboration with monday work management.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is the inability to customize monday dev board templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday dev is solving several challenges like cross collaboration between our dev team and the marketing/brand. This is a huge benefit to the company as our main initiatives are focused across several departments, and we can easily collaborate and raise any issues through monday dev/work management.
