More Intuitive than just coding everything
What do you like best about the product?
Comparing to Django…. Aptible is really intuitive! I like how everything could be deployed through the UI, rather than needing to memorize all of the flags and commands for the terminal
What do you dislike about the product?
The walk through docs need to be a bit more comprehensive, especially for those that are not very technical on a full-stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application generation and setup, as well as ongoing application development
I performed the NodeJS QuickStart and had a site up an running in a matter of minutes.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of deploying an app or container is streamlined and simple. The number of steps normally required to do this are integrated in Aptible and the pain points are removed. With security built in, much of the stress around a public facing endpoint is alleviated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular though I did find that the directions on the dashboard were sufficient enough to disregard the quickstart guide. After bouncing back and forth for a minute between the two, I ended up using the instructions on the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It removes the hassle of configuring a number of services on a cloud provider as well as the tools used to deploy and configure apps, apis, containers, etc. These activities typically have to be scripted using multiple tools and reviewed for security and reproducibility.
Very streamlined design
What do you like best about the product?
Their tutorial on getting started with Django. I thought the setup was shockingly easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the documents for setup were a little more in depth discussing what was going on in each step, especially with the lengthy deploy process

It makes deployment of apps extremely easy, I was not previously familiar with the process

The ability to dynamically configure your containers, database type and size, and a GUI that shows your security and compliance needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I could think of is the price point.

Amazing platform for any onboarding courses!
What do you like best about the product?
I really loved the design of the platform. It's not like a regular "course" website that will put videos/answers and that you'd feel you just "drop" files. Aptible provides enough tools for accurate assessments, such as an integrated screen recording tool and a very modern interface!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really enjoyed this site! I can say the browser extension needs a little bit of fixing, but besides that, it's an enjoyable experience with Aptible's multiple tools!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The financial benefit that I've had is having no error regarding HIPAA compliance after the course that had during the onboarding with the company I'm working with! All points really stuck with me!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to use chrome! The platform runs best with chrome!

What do you dislike about the product?
It's not cheap, but it's not a bad deal either—particularly when you're just getting off the ground.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aptible helped us get our technology-driven Clinical Trials company off the ground without a dedicated SRE team.
The Hardest Part about Aptible is Explaining What They Do to Others...That's a good thing.
What do you like best about the product?
I have an application. It uses some databases and has a caching layer. I have a few services that go along with it. Oh, right, and it needs to be secure and HIPAA compliant and all of those things. So... we deploy it via Aptible. And it works, and it is backed up, and Aptible helps us meet a lot of the security things we need. It just works. Support is great. They make steady progress on features and listen to customer needs.
As for the title, when I'm explaining to (technical) people what Aptible is, I use the phrase, "like Heroku, but with all the security stuff." That explanation *normally* works.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing that I keep pushing on Aptible is better auto-scaling. They do have some upcoming solutions that help address my underlying needs, which is good, but it is the one (big) feature which I'd like to see improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, we have certain compliance requirements, HIPAA in particular. We have applications that need to be deployed in a secure environment. Because of what Aptible does for us, we can save on devops and security operations costs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm a fan. It solves a real need and helps me sleep at night.

What do you like best about the product?
Sending trainings is quick and easy and employees are able to complete trainings easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
When trainings have expired or employees have not accepted the invitation, it would be nice to have an email sent to me to let me know so I can keep track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Employees are able to complete HIPAA trainings easily.
We have been using it for a lot of years. Aptible is great for fast-growing business.
What do you like best about the product?
Microservices are fast, everything you deploy there you can expect the reliability of AWS containers, the scaling process is straight forward and usually they do scale it up if they found issues for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model, unfortunately, this is the only bad point on Aptible, having all your infrastructure here can be expensive as they charge you per container.

- We needed a Cloud Provider that is HIPAA compliant, that's why went with Aptible.
