Amazing for developers
What do you like best about the product?
I like the security aspect... Aptible offers a very streamlined deployment process that saves time... Compared to Heroku, Aptible offers a more specialized and security-focused platform, with built-in tools for ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, when it comes to Aptible, I couldn't think of anything that I don't like. Aptible has consistently impressed me with its exceptional services and capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In addition to security, I am extremely pleased with the reliability and performance of the Aptible platform. The infrastructure is highly stable, and I have experienced minimal to no downtime during my usage.
One-stop, intuitive deployments
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy how guided and seamless the deployments are and how informed the user is at each stage of the experience. These processes can be long and painful, but Aptible makes them seem like nothing! While it hides away abstraction, by keeping the user informed at stages, it allows the user to look up what exactly Aptible is doing in the background. A tool I definitely see myself using for personal and work-related projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a downside specifically, but I was unsure about large-scale feature discovery. If we were to move from an IaaS (e.g. GCP, AWS) to here, what features would be missing, if any? Hiding away abstraction is a tradeoff for these corner cases, where it's unclear whether certain features lurk below the surface or don't exist at all, which could make specific migrations infeasible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting my application out in the world in the most hassle-free way, so that I can focus on the product and less on these logistics.
Good For hassle free deployments
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part is: No need of CI/CD. As soon as I pushed, the app was built with my changes.... Compared to others, its easy to use. I have experience with Heroku, AWS and Oracle -- If you want hassle free deployments, just by pushing your code, Aptible is the one!
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring the app with the MySQL Database was confusing. As the app was unable to connect to MySQL causing the deployment fail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's all one-click deployment. As soon as I pushed the code, the app was deployed. It was also easy to monitor the deployments. The visualization provided a lot of information about my app and its activities.
It’s very user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
It’s very user friendly. If there's any unexpected hiccups, Aptible provides the logs and documentation to help easily identify and fix problems painlessly and without ever needing to leave the environment you're in
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike about the Aptible product it's a very good and friendly product there is nothing to tell dislike about the Aptible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem Solving Skills: You invest time upfront in understanding the root of problems before acting. Communications Skills.
Aptible Product Review
What do you like best about the product?
Aptible decreases the time of deployment. It allows users to deploy their applications within a short amount of time and multiple times within a day... Compared to Heroku, the deployment process is easier and faster in Aptible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users may need some time to set up their environment and Github to start the deployment process. Once the set-up is completed, then the usage of Aptible becomes easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aptible decreases the time of deployment. It allows users to deploy their applications within a short amount of time and multiple times within a day
A developer friendly and lightweight app deployment solution
What do you like best about the product?
Aptible streamlines the once cumbersome process of deploying an application to modern infrastructure. While functional equivalence among more mature competitors (e.g., AWS), Aptible truly shines in the choice of user-facing abstraction and simplicity. For my trial of the platform, I deployed a sample rails application. During the trial, I was able to appreciate the workflow for deployment that the Aptible team is proposing and it is now a strong contender among the current giants in the industry (in my opinion!)
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't pinpoint any specific aspect of the platform that I did not like. However, I think what would make the Web UI better would be more on-hover tooltips to provide the user insight into the various fields/options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A common pain point I am dealing with is the lack of proper CI/CD infrastructure. A lot of the difficulties can be attributed to the nature of large platforms such as GitLab which are a "jack of all trades" solution. By placing a heavy emphasis on deployment, Aptible streamlines both the CI and CD of applications with very little setup costs.
Super seamless and the online portal looks great
What do you like best about the product?
The deployment process was very seamless. I'm familiar with both App Engine and Cloud Run, and this process was very easy in comparison.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. I'd need to use it for longer to know how it compares in other areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast and easy deployment
I would recommend Aptible to anyone as it’s simple and fast
What do you like best about the product?
I highly recommend Aptible to anyone looking to create new apps. In my experience, it's both simple and fast, making it a great choice for developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I didn't find anything to dislike about it, I do wish that it had more features. Specifically, I would love to see a solution for securely storing data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
quick deploy
Aptible has potential to be the go-to hassle-free deployment tool replacing Heroku
What do you like best about the product?
Easy spin up and consolidation of deployment assets and configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
With a little more polish and extending the current capabilities, I feel this tool is well on its way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With lean teams in an era of scarce DevOps support candidates, Aptible is excellent for managing deployments of SaaS products when you have few developers to handle them.
Great for startups and small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Time-saving. In a team that is made of 4 developers, it is hard to "do it all" without leaving a mess. Aptible is the peacekeeper and middleman for streamlining the process and save time to focus on the product itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it's great and amazing for streamlining, the process could be more polished, to get the market of devs with even lower experience, which is a common thing within new startups and companies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we are a small team, it is hard to assign a person as a DevOps go-to guy. The load is spread across the team which have different levels of experience and doing so affects the quality of the structure, as well as their other work as they are constantly fixing something else.
