What do you like best about the product?
I find Deltek Costpoint's interface particularly noteworthy due to its ease of navigation. It's streamlined, which allows me to seamlessly move from one module to another or within sections of a module, facilitating a more efficient workflow. This user-friendly design translates complex processes into more manageable tasks, significantly enhancing my productivity. Additionally, the support we receive is commendable, providing assurance and prompt assistance when needed. The subcontractor module is extraordinarily helpful, allowing subcontractor employees to directly enter their time into our system. This feature streamlines our invoice creation process by enabling us to pull in the data effortlessly instead of waiting for subcontractors to send their invoices. This convenience and efficiency are crucial in maintaining smooth operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the report functions in Deltek Costpoint aren't intuitive to find. Sometimes, I have to dig a little bit to locate the information I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Deltek Costpoint to submit invoices for subcontractor labor and handle material purchases. It streamlines the process by allowing subcontractor employees to enter time directly, enabling quick invoice creation without waiting for external invoices.

I appreciate that Deltek Costpoint has maintained consistency in its user interface over time, with minimal changes that preserve my comfort and familiarity with the tool. I like that we can tailor Deltek Costpoint to fit our specific needs, allowing for a more personalized experience. For example, using the purchasing module for new vendors is particularly beneficial. Additionally, I find the initial setup to be fairly easy, which makes transitioning to and utilizing the software smooth and efficient.

I would like the reporting to be easier to put into Excel.

I use Deltek Costpoint for materials and financial reporting, allowing me to pull PSRs to track contract status and profit. It is customizable to our needs, such as using the purchasing module for vendors, and integrates well with our reporting tool.

This aspect of the software greatly supports our financial processes, making it a crucial tool for our accounting and reimbursement tasks.

I find it difficult to notice error messages in Deltek Costpoint. The error messages often lack sufficient explanation, making it hard to understand the issues they indicate.
