Pretty Easy-to-use Timekeeping Software
What do you like best about the product?
I thought that this program was very easy to learn, and to use on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't dislike anything about this software program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy way for employees to track their time on a daily basis. No writing it down on paper or recording in spreadsheets or anyrhing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This program was very easy to learn and to use. I would highly recommend giving it a try. I expect that it was very cost-effective as well.

What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint and Time and Expense are integral to making our organization successful. As with any product you implement in an organization, there is some spin-up and learning time associated. However, once your users begin using the product and get accustomed to its features, you will enjoy the functionality and reporting tools available. Also, I've personally experience excellent customer service and support from the team @ Deltek.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little time to learn the system, but you have that with any software suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Costpointhelped us solve our expense tracking and reporting challenges, and we have benefited from Costpoint functionality.

For the most part, it is easy to navigate through once you know what your company business process is.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you find a defect and Deltek finds a fix but sometimes creates other defects.

Product is user friendly and easy to navigate

Would prefer to have direct links from one module to the other, vs having to go into a separate module to further research an item. There are more and more links directly, such as this being added to the screens and modules.

I really like the projects module - perfect for reconciling revenues by CLIN type.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a new user some of the revenue tables have been difficult to decipher. Would love to see an exact report that represents the revenue formula in a way that we can see Expense (Detail) + Fee = Final Revenue. Also would love to see detailed "Unbilled" report of exact items the system's included in my Unbilled report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a challenge trying to set up multi state projects but now that we have we've been able to capture the information we need.
Costpoint is a great ERP for Government Contractors. He has the built in tools for Gov. Contractors

Government and regulatory requirments. Cost savings by doing in-house payroll
Good Product, Very Helpful
What do you like best about the product?
Easily able to generate many reports to help with revenue recognition and billing, which are my primary focus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not always the easiest to move between applications. Screens can be set up to suit the individual, though sometimes you still can't see all of what you want to see at a glance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Revenue recognition and billing are my primary focuses. Costpoint is a great tool.

This product has more aspects than you will probably ever use. Great product for a growing company.
Alot of options - needs better training
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards, once you finally get them set up are wonderful. A huge timesaver for me. Everyone can see what they want and stop asking me to run reports. Or you can set reports up to run at certain times, for example, every Monday at 8 am and they email out to the person you want them to. This is also a time saver. Also, the ability to control security down to a single screen if I want. Before I had to lock everyone out of the General Ledger because I couldn't limit what they could see at all. Now I can limit it, so someone else can go create a Journal Entry for a mistake, or the monthlies or anything, set up an approval flow so I can check it, and its done.
What do you dislike about the product?
You are going to pay someone, whether it is your implementation company, or a consultant to help you with a lot of things. The DLZ initial training is very good for basic use. But for anyone high level that needs to backtrack data, or dig into the weeds of something, it is very hard to create reports and dashboards yourself without a significant amount of training. Also, training on anything, or figuring out how to accomplish anything that is even a little out of the box, is way harder than it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems solved - Making sure everything gets ordered and no components are missed. If the BOM is correct, then the system tells you what you need. No more OOPS I forgot to order the screws! Also being able to monitor production and planning and have it tie into the accounting system automatically removed all the manual work of that. Getting the costs to the correct project up front is a game changer. Being able to complete Cost Reports in 15 minutes is huge for me.
The Only ERP Accounting Software I like
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the fact that it is bundled all together with the different accounting functions within the software as well it can create reports that are necessary to know where your projects are at in the process the projects are in. It is the only software I actually seek out with companies when it comes to my perfered choice of ERP software! As an accountant for many years I know that Costpoint is a reliable out of the box software package that I can easily Install and Import Data!
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to keep "Form" View as the preferred View when in a module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time Tracking was a number one item that we needed to track and the integration of time with Costpoint makes it seamless to update information from the People Module to the Time Collection.
