Patience is required to use and care for Costpoint.
What do you like best about the product?
Can work well in either commercial and government space. Highly configurable, good support. Can install on-prem or in the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be difficult to use. Needs better and/or more methods for uploading data. Inconsistent UI between functions. Older areas of system not updated (Job Server Processing).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving a complex, highly integrated, manufacturing focused environment from on-prem to cloud.
End user experience could be easier. To many clicks to the data entry area

The fact that there are applications to entire time and approve Expenses all in one swoop was a great business result

We ease of moving an entire agency virtual and keep business operations moving forward without a gap was a huge accomplishment for our agency

As an early adopter on t @e allowed us to make sure the solution meet our needs when implemented

It is very easy to use. Been using since 1998. The way all items work together

The ER system is not very user friendly. Needs.to be more user friendly.

Very integrated between Costpoint and Time and Expense. The labor and leave.

It approved by DCAA and I have been using it for 20 years. Creating financial reports. Creating custom reports. To execute our financial strategy across the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow in the expanse side. BI reporting could be user friendly to make it easier to drive the insights across the organization. But we are working to better deploy and help.

Slow expense module. It's been two months and it is still not fixed.😞

In depth all inclusive system, but often complicated for the standard user
What do you like best about the product?
The variety and ability to be as detailed as necessary to any contract and project type. The system has several checks and balances worked into it that creates great security but can be time consuming to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is counter intuitive and often cumbersome. Resulting in needless double entry of data or a not user friendly interface. Areas of the system don't automatically feed to into other areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The user interface is becoming better. Especially for time and expense. But there is still much to improve for projects and account to alleviate unnecessary data entry

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Deltek Costpoint's new interface, which allows me to approve tasks directly via email, making the process smooth and efficient. I also find the Cognos BI feature incredibly valuable, as it provides better visibility into my financial data, aiding in informed decision-making. The initial setup of Deltek Costpoint was straightforward and not too difficult, making it convenient to integrate into our workflow. Overall, my positive experience with these features reflects in my high likelihood of recommending Deltek Costpoint to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The handling of AP 1099 information in Deltek Costpoint does not work well for me. It could be improved.

I use Deltek Costpoint for accounting and finance, which streamlines timesheet submissions and approvals via email, enhancing our visibility.

What do you like best about the product?
I have found costpoint to be have so many more tools than our previous financial reporting system. I like the detail in the open billing detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that deltek still has an option other than the wizard. We are constantly reminding employees to use the wizard when they are struggling to submit expense authorizations and expense reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to run reports that my program manager finds very useful compared to our previous system, particularly the t&m analysis report.

The amount of options to click on and navigation from on screen to another.
