Costpoint Implementation
What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint foundationally supports all our business processes. We have leveraged delivered processes and sunset any customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Looking forward to new features in mobile time entry and AP Automation

Bringing in Gov Compliance with the Gov Cloud

What do you like best about the product?
Most of the functionality is configurable and scalable to the requirements of the enterprise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality is customizable. But there can be harmful effects of not appropriately customizing the functionality using industry best practices

All finance back office functionality is being managed easily

What do you like best about the product?
Deltek Costpoint is a wonderful product. I enjoy the great support team and othe helpful support persons that are there.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes get a bit unhappy with the consistency of the bones and inter workings, but it is a continuous work in progress and that I do like.

Solving and satisfying the total financial needs of out pay and receipt system.

I've been working with Deltek Costpoint since it came out in the 1990s and continue to be impressed.
What do you like best about the product?
The most powerful features include BI (Cognos) and extensibilities (customizations). I've been able to do a lot with Cognos over the years and am glad that Deltek makes so much of its capabilities available to their Cloud customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are hosted on Deltek Cloud, and it's sometimes frustrating dealing with the cloud services group. Would be nice to get more detailed guidance and explanations when problems come up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's always been a great platform for managing government contracts, and the Business Intelligence tool (Cognos) has been extremely valuable in helping us streamline complex processes and stay ahead of problems.
Most things do not integrate and are not as good as they seem

It's made for project accounting so standards are met

The price, how difficult most things are once you really dive in. Not much integration and not very intuitive

Some screens are not straightforward and as user friendly as they could be

hard to keep track of floor checks on timesheets for people that have flexible work times and work days

Patience is required to use and care for Costpoint.
What do you like best about the product?
Can work well in either commercial and government space. Highly configurable, good support. Can install on-prem or in the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be difficult to use. Needs better and/or more methods for uploading data. Inconsistent UI between functions. Older areas of system not updated (Job Server Processing).

Moving a complex, highly integrated, manufacturing focused environment from on-prem to cloud.
