What do you dislike about the product?
Only one user can be in a posting screen at a time
Once a transaction is posted, unable to query it to view it (e.g. Journal entry, have to run a Cognos report to see all lines)
Unable to easily reverse/ credit a sales order invoice once posted.
Audit tracking not enabled, required IT to configure.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Glad to see costing 8.1 allows time card entry and approval from phone, email, app
Costpoint is a great point solution for government contracts
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with Time and expense and the ability to adapt the product to meet individual business outcomes
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not accommodate all California non exempt labor requirements or complicate union requirements. Additional customizable freatures would eliminate this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing Project Cost accounting allow us to quick produce contractor status reports and simplified our reporting allowing our financial analysts to focus more on analyzing verses report writing.
Costpoint is a fair product
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to look up parts by serial number as well as the transaction history.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way it communicates with Solumina. It's buggy with the latest release that we're using 8.0.23

It tracks our inventory
Most comprehensive government-focused project ERP system available.

Proper handling of cost pools. Pretty flexible payroll module.

The occasional misstep in new releases for SAS

Great features that are coming up in Costpoint projects and time and expense

Multi currency features are not yet fully mature. We still have issues with revenue posting in functional currency, however am glad to learn it's on the roadmap

What do you like best about the product?
Deltek provides a lot of documentation on the product Costpoint .
What do you dislike about the product?
Deltek Costpoint interface is user friendly when compared to other systems. It just seems a bit cold.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I noted Delteck had included the banner option that provides step-by-step information as a banner notification, which is like having the SOP at your fingertips.

What do you like best about the product?
Financial capabilities that are government approved that segregates the cost. Additional modules for budgeting and contract management. Links that tie contracts to projects and to budgeting and opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple entry points into various data tables. Lots of training required to be proficient in the different modules. Combine some applications in less windows, i.e. creating and linking PLC's to projects and bill rates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating budgets and forecasting active projects and new business. consolidated outlook by organization. able to analyze and present data more effectively. able to make better strategic decisions.
