All-around Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to use Costpoint for all of our government contracts in one system. Being able to track them all, individually, as well as our staffing working on each, is tremendous.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we use it so much it needs a break! Those days are not fun, but it always bounces back. I'm not a tech expert, so I don't know specifics on how to improve performance like that, but an improvement would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to load and track all of our government contracts from project codes to time and expense to payroll to operating year cut offs and staffing numbers.

What do you like best about the product?
- Upcoming Deltek Harmony will definitely going to have user friendly user interface
- DCAA compliant POOL Rate computation and Planning Module with Project, New Business Budget and Org Budget is most useful module for finance team.
- Forward rate computation in Org Budget from planning module.
- Great software for accounting and maintaining FAR compliances in Contract module.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Direct update of GL posting to project tables, this will eliminate the waiting time.
- Should allow to integrate the Costpoint with open source tool like Power BI so that can have Top Management a dashboard which is very limited in CER

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- It is great ERP system to have P2P, O2R, R2R tracking for account and finance team
- The financial capabilities at Org level, Reorg Level, Project Level, Alternate Project level make it robust and very useful for multi fold dimensional reporting
- Deltek's planning module help to do Project and Resource planning, also New business planning ahead of time. It works independently and collobrate with actual data from Costpoint. The more analysis with data possible through BI reports help to take decesion faster.

Costpoint is a good as the initial setup
What do you like best about the product?
Automation and data visibility, along with the BI reporting capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features like Multi-Currency need updating, which I believe are coming in later versions

Best Project Based System
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Costpoint for over 25 years. It is the most robust and customizable program I've ever seen for project-based accounting and finance. No other program can compare to the Cost Pool features in Costpoint for indirect rate management, as well as having the ability to perform all other functions needed for optimum financial reporting and compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very expensive to implement and takes a while to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Costpoint for all Accounting and Project functions, as well as T&E and Procurement.
Deltek Costpoint is a user friendly system
What do you like best about the product?
I've used different systems in the past. Deltek Costpoint is user-friendly, with everything conveniently a click away in the same dashboard. Customizing the system to your business needs makes it work for all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflow module needs to be more customizable. It does not work for all companies' needs. Having to use a workflow tool not within Deltek Costpoint can be costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoint solves may issues we have. We will now be CAS compliant. All our billing will be automated instead of manual. We will be able to follow our funding and workforce easily.

What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint is fantastic for Accounting and time tracking. It generates quality reports, once you get everything set up correctly. It is is most reliable source for government contractors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is a bit archaic and needs modernization.

Tracking revenue and project expenditures.
Deltek is a great choice for government contractors
What do you like best about the product?
Deltek has a lot of options for government contractors. The core has great tracking practices for internal controls and meeting any audit requests. The ability to build BI reports to pull information helps offset some of the actual softwares limitations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not the most user friendly or intuitive. T&E in particular could use a face lift and simplified for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking costs. Financial statement production. Project invoicing. Payroll. Expense report and timesheet tracking. Program management reports, project status report, etc
For timekeeping, pretty streamline.
What do you like best about the product?
Clean and clear interface for users to input time and to also review prior time cards. Relative ease of use greatly saves times on a day to day basis. Company security measures are also met.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding time codes can be challenging if not given directly. UXI can be modified to be a little more intuitive. Error for time correction can have pre-populated entries most used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of day to day time entries. Easy to pull up prior time cards. Lots of time savings for the most part. Software seems to be updating and getting better on a constant basis.
Well established financial system
What do you like best about the product?
Deltek always rolls out new features and listens when we suggest enhancements that make our jobs easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, I believe Deltek is headed in the right direction and staying up to date with enhancements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track all of our expenses and AP, and Revenue all in one location. We love the functionality of the system as a whole.
