Q4 Costpoint Townhall
What do you like best about the product?
Stability of functionality. While the product releases new enhancements and functionality quite frequently, the product still allows users to utilize the functionality that they have been using for years. Roll out of changes is done in rounds and tends to not be too much at one time, this makes it easier for my team to consume the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to have multiple apps open on the same screen. I hate having to flip back and forth through multiple applications that tie together
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Audits - DCAA, CMMC, and timekeeping

What do you like best about the product?
The newer functions being added that are flowing through other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting-difficult to run specific reports/audits
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily timesheet functionality for employees- more user friendly
Costpoint is very useful from an ODBC approach, assuming you know where to look.
What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint for a basic user has very easy to follow prompts and navigation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be challenging to find which table items live in. I have also experienced very slow customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Burden rate mapping is very easy to follow.

Compliance is baked into the program so gov contractors can manage their company easily

User interface looks very old, some may not have a problem wi th it but no one says it's the best UI they have seen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps our company stay compliant to the government standards

Reporting is not as sophisticated as other ERP used in the past.

The ability to customize the configuration to meet the business needs of a company.

With the ability to customize configuration the system can become overwhelming for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit for me is the ability to to create complex indirect rates, and burden projects with those rates.

Extending functionality to users in a more mobile or easy to consume fashion
CostPoint is the best!
What do you like best about the product?
The strong alignment with the specific needs of government contractors. The platform offers robust tools for managing compliance with government regulations, which is critical for a defense contractor like Dayton T. Brown, Inc. Its ability to integrate project management, financials, procurement, and compliance in one system can streamline processes and provide a clear view of operations from top to bottom.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to track DMR's and CAR's in the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working on implementing Deltek CoatPoint for a go live of February 2025. It will be replacing a home grown system and offers countless improvement opportunities!
