Longtime Costpoint User
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is 'out-of-the-box' compliant with government standards. It uses SQL as its base language and is easy to understand the Garbage In, Garbage out concepts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The aforementioned Garbage In, Garbage Out. If not setup fully with forethought and a commitment to complete data entry, you will be stuck with nonsensical reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our main accounting and timesheet software.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the report functionality of Costpoint. I can provide real time financial data to PMs on the field no matter where they are.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costpoint Planning is dated and confusing to explain concepts to PMs on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
EAC projects are a big focus for us. Making sure the revenue burns at the expeteced rate is key. Costpoint Planning helps our PMs achieve this.

What do you like best about the product?
Project set up/Orgs/Accounts are very helpful to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports are limited. Cognos reports are very helpful and makes it much easier to extract the information need when reviewing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to add a modification to change the PoP and not have to reset up the framework each year. Instead we can add a mod to extend to the next year. This is awesome.

What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly and once you understand the system deaign can be easily implemented
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot say I dislike much. Payroll tends to be clunky but usable. More dev costs should be used to keep current.

Deltek is good about upgrading and listening to users
Deltek is a great well rounded ERP system.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Costpoint is the continued support the system. With new versions there is opportunity to continually update modules and make them work better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes with upgrades there are minor issues that aren't fixed until later maintenance releases, which is to be expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating all ERP business systems into a single ERP system. Some business have separate timekeeping, projects and finance software.
The only Government contact, Project Accounting System to use
What do you like best about the product?
As an administrator and report developer, the table structure is logical and correspond to the Costpoint screens.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cloud performance is often slow and sluggish.

Managing and controlling costs for project based government contracts.

I have been using Costpoint for many years. It's user friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to query. The ability to paste many values into the query would be useful.

What do you like best about the product?
CAS compliance within gov on is what I like best about Costpoint. I particularly like the enhancements that are being rolled out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the gui of Costpoint. Purpose and innovation and the way the diffrrent theme areas could be better in the user experience. Customer support is quick to close any support tickets.

I am used to use cp7 and its very user friendly

All in one service, meaning timesheet and all expenses can be done in one program

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is there at the tip of our fingertips. It creates a flow to notify other employees of their duties.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be a delay in uploading documents to update certain charts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the expense feature of Deltek. So, the automation of notifications to everyone in an approval process are notified. I no longer have to contact and email them about it.
