What do you like best about the product?
Great project based accounting system and carries data from opportunity to close out
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a better expense reporting mechanism. This may be addressed with the 8.2 update

What do you like best about the product?
1) Creation of pools for allocation is easy to setup.
2) Expense module tracks other employees that have already recieved a meal and should not get per diem.

Expense module is not intuitive for employees. Concur is way easier to use.

Deltek Costpoint offers a wide range of features that cover various aspects of project management, accounting, and compliance. This all-in-one solution helps streamline processes and improve efficiency.
As a shared service user, for a government contractor utilizing project accounting, once you get familiar with the system nauces the interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although it has got better over the last few years, integrating Deltek Costpoint with other software systems can sometimes be challenging and requires additional technical support or custom development. Deltek service model is to direct clients to consulting partners that can also make it a costly solution.
Reporting capability is limited outside of the "out of the box" formats.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The system simplifies labor collection and time tracking, making it easier to manage employee timesheets and ensure accurate billing for labor costs.
Good concept but lots of extra work
What do you like best about the product?
Calculate indirect rate easily by runing the report.
The system is only good for big company with resources in HR/accouning and doing busienss with goverment which indirect rate is required.

Too much extra work to go through and maintein.
The system is very rigid with multiple modules but not really linked to each other efficiently. Required setup correctly and multile import and export.
Too many work around to get the result/ reports you need and need to create and maintain excel sheets on the side.
No credit card intergration. Lots of manual work involved.

Easily calculate indirect rate along the way which we can have a clear picture of overhead.
Rerport for proejct cost is relatively easy to generate.
However, the work involved and the cost of software and consultant are way too much for a small company like us

Its user friendly and up to date with changes.

Waiting to hear back from analysts are long.

Finding and reporting costs. Balancing resources.

BI seems to be slow and sometimes when I login, BI does not launch or just spins.

The ease of use and helpful hints. The ability to communicate concerns directly with my supervisor has been a plus.

Currently, I do not really have any issues with Deltek. It has been easy to use.

I really take advantage the searching tool. My menu has a long short cut of all the applications that I use daily!

I would like to be able to contact someone when I have questions easily, but it's not.

Intergrated modules facilitate single data entry such that data flows to other related modules

The Fixed Asset Module requires many inputs with frequent review

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to install and maintain with well thought out menus and screens. I am in Costpoint daily and those things matter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lags behind with regard to SCA employees who are both union and non-union.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pipeline....Opps to Contracts to projects....Our teams have embraced these features.
