Not an easy learning curve, but the outstanding customer support makes a big difference!

Meaningful updates, fast & helpful customer service
What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin-side, it is always tricky being the 'help desk' for our end users. I.e. helping an employee submit an expense report. The more user-friendly guides, the better.

Robust Accounting System Needing Enhanced Resource Planning
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the project accounting flexibility and structure that Deltek Costpoint offers. It's particularly beneficial for managing complex projects and ensuring accuracy in financial tracking. Additionally, the ability to view financial data in real-time is invaluable, as it allows for immediate insights and decision-making. The system also provides excellent visibility of reports, making it easy to account for projects, which is a major advantage over previous solutions we've used. Deltek Costpoint's integration capabilities, such as with ADP, further enhance its utility by streamlining workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the resource planning and forecasting capabilities in Deltek Costpoint to require a lot of work and could be significantly improved. The ability to plan by resource and have that time automatically show on their timesheet is lacking, which would greatly help each team member see what they are supposed to be working on. Additionally, the forecasting function, particularly in terms of project management, is clunky and slow, hindering efficiency. Improvements in these areas would make the experience much smoother. Also, the initial setup presented challenges, needing a team well-versed in understanding the database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Deltek Costpoint for finance and project accounting, appreciating its flexibility and real-time financial data visibility.
