What do you like best about the product?
the way the rates are calculated. give you the actual as well as the preliminary.

Not knowing how revenue is calculated. revenue as one lump sum

What do you like best about the product?
Costpoint provides the security and functions that our Business needs to stay successful in Government Contracting.
The updates provided improve user experience and improve efficiencies without re-inventing the wheel.

What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, my company just updated to 8.2 and there have been some learning curves on issues there are no demo videos for, import AP vouchers to be specific.
I would also like to see updated demo videos and receive updates when new videos are available.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Costpoint allows extensive organization and project levels so drill down reporting can be done on very specific categories.
Easy menuing and timekeeping
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of menuing and, most importantly, the best support for your team (either in person or online). There are numerous features available in the software package from HR, timekeeping, benefits and payroll.
What do you dislike about the product?
The company is steadily making improvements to increase the ease of use with their layout. The new layout is intuitive and makes sense so that all related information is in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of timekeeping for project based billing in terms of timekeeping and invoicing.
It took a little while, but I finally have the hang of it....
What do you like best about the product?
Now that i have been using it for a little while, I finally have the hang of the system!
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not the most user friendly system. I finally have the hang of it. I wish I was able to get into details in an easier way such as GL detail. There are a lot of steps and going back out of screens to get the information I need at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not aware of any problems that Costpoint is helping me solve.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very logical and helpful to track, analyze data, reports variety and availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything that I would like to mention at this moment.

Reporting features are useful for me in my everyday work.
Better than others
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, holistic approach to managing projects. Hopefully upgrading to Costpoint Enterprise soon.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had a drop down to go back to previous timesheets without entering the dates or doing back arrow one by one if it were a timesheet that is a few back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Invoicing and tracking project actuals but we are not using planning. Have tried implementing a few times and it just is not getting us the capability we would like.
Comprehensive payroll and HRIS software
What do you like best about the product?
Deltec offers a variety of ways to manager employee base, payroll, benefits, and timesheets. It is an intuitive product that makes it easy for human resource managers to manage their single point database.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the menuing is difficult to understand, but Deltec offers a variety of resources to help with learning modules
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Payroll issues and multiple states and timekeeping when we have to charge two specific projects
Best Government Contracting ERP system
What do you like best about the product?
For the special requirements of a government contracting company, Deltek Costpoint is the best system out there. I have been working for most of my career with this ERP system (and the early systems) and I will always recommend Deltek Costpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature I dislike is the bank reconciliation system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoing is solving our procurement processing and tracking. This provides a streamlined procurement process and good reports.

The ease of keeping my time and creating my expense reports

I can only think that it may be confusing to someone new so I would recommend a more user friendly tutorial for new comers.

No step-by-step detailed training process materials. The interface can feel a bit outdated and takes some time to get used to, especially for new users.
