Effortless Employee Tracking and Payroll Management
What do you like best about the product?
This software makes it easy to track employee hours and pay types. It also allows me to review daily entries for errors and check everything weekly before signing off.
What do you dislike about the product?
The filters take quite a while to cycle through when I'm searching for specific data. It can be a bit time-consuming to find exactly what I need because of this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to accurately record work hours and time off for my team of over 20 agents, even when they are away from their phones.
DCAA-Approved and Reliable for Government Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
It has been approved by DCAA and other government agencies as long as it is used within GAAP and DCAA guidelines. For larger companies, they have the staff to integrate fairly easily. Smaller companies, not so much.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be clunky and not intuitive to use in alot of functions. Customer support can sometimes be lacking. Not knowledgable and hard to get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows integration of timekeeping and AP. Will calculate and apply indirect rates seamlessly.
Transparent and User-Friendly ERP with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Deltek Costpoint is transparent and user-friendly, whether through the web-based or Windows app interface. It's great to be able to switch between them. The application takes a lot of the guessing out of the equation, which makes navigating program management responsibilities easier for me as a financial analyst. Using Deltek Costpoint has made my job easier, and I find myself learning something new every time I use it. I especially love the ability to create different project levels within a level 1 program, such as level 2 for the CLIN and level 3 for the WBS. My experience has been very positive, and I feel there's nothing Deltek Costpoint can't do when managing financials for any given program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes in the inventory part of Costpoint (“manage inventory projects”), when I am creating new inventory abbreviation and when I click save, the page goes away. I would like to see this improved so that when I save what I am doing, that I am able to still make edits and continue on the same screen as I was using before hitting save
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Deltek Costpoint to track and manage actuals, costs, and inventory. It simplifies financial management by reducing guesswork with its user-friendly interface, making my job easier and allowing me to learn continuously.
Efficient and Reliable, Though Occasional Downtime
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using Deltek/Costpoint because it makes time and expense reporting incredibly efficient and straightforward. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and helps me stay organized without the hassle. It’s a tool I can count on to get things done quickly and accurately, which is a huge win in a busy HR environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I really appreciate how helpful and efficient Deltek/Costpoint is—especially for time and expense reporting—I’ve also experienced a few hiccups. Occasionally, the system seems to have a "mind of its own" and has gone down at critical moments. Thankfully, those issues are usually resolved quickly, and the support team is responsive. Despite that, it remains a tool I rely on daily and genuinely value.

I recently attended a Deltek/Costpoint webinar and was highly impressed by the structure and content of the session. The presenters addressed a wide range of pressing questions and concerns with clarity and professionalism. The roundtable discussion was particularly well-executed, offering valuable insights and fostering meaningful dialogue. I appreciate the continued support from the Deltek team and look forward to receiving the link to complete my Deltek Certification.

Automated Cost Tracking with Potential for PTO Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like the automated features to keep track of program costs, which makes it really good with audit of time charges. Deltek Costpoint ensures the correct employee charges to the correct project.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a supervisor has a group of people assigned, they should be able to locate approved PTO more easily, rather than having to go week by week to see approved PTO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Deltek Costpoint for timekeeping, ensuring the correct employee charges to projects, and integrating project costs. I like its automated features for tracking program costs and its effectiveness in auditing time charges.
Streamlined ERP with Integration Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I find Deltek Costpoint to be efficient, simplifying multiple accounting and project-related processes. I really like the simplicity it brings to the Project Cost Accounting process and Project reporting. Additionally, the integrations with Time & Expense for time and expense reporting, and with ADP for the payroll process, are features I appreciate. The transition to the cloud was very simple, with all details coming over seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are disparities in T&E with how the Charge Trees are created for Projects versus Manufacturing Orders. The Sales Order invoicing also is very clunky and does not work as seamlessly as the other invoice processes in Deltek Costpoint.

Comprehensive System, But Payroll Updates Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Costpoint handles everything in one system from HR to timesheets to accounting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costpoint has updates that always cause huge issues for payroll and getting technical assistance takes too long when payroll has to be run quickly. Updated do not always help as screens often lose capability especially for payroll processors as it seems to be an often overlooked module.

Great Shortcuts and Query Features, But Lacks User-Friendliness
What do you like best about the product?
Query option as well as the ability to create shortcuts on the welcome screen

Not user friendly, if your not sure what to do there should be an option to click on an informational directory.

Tracking subcontractors time, creating subcontractors invoices, purchase requisition, purchase orders
Robust Accounting for Government Projects, Needs Streamlining
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Deltek Costpoint tracks project costs and billings, and it meets government contract requirements by tracking costs. I also appreciate the business intelligence feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some processes are cumbersome such as project set ups. Would like to see GSA reporting added. Expense report quick entry set up is very cumbersome set up.
