it's a good way to centralize all backup technologies into one console

The software is fairly easy to set up and get operating. After set up, it just goes.

There are a myriad options - not bad, just overwhelming

Backup at 2 sites and then replicating that data. This product is very strong at all of these functions and also creating retention policies

it's a complete tool to manage all your backup and restore procedures
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes the tapes jobs are not working well. In my opinion the tape infrastructure section needs to be enhanced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's a great system that centralize all backup technologies in your company. thejobs are scriptable and the notifications make me always sure of what's going on with my backups.
Veeam agent for physical server backups is good
What do you like best about the product?
The Veeam Backup agent allowed us to consolidate our backups of both virtual and physical servers to one solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit of a challenge when you have a dedicated backup interface to be sure the correct interface is being setup for use in the Veeam agent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefit and problem solved is one backup solution instead of 2.

Veeam is a great virtualization backup product, with the ability to do physical servers it is even better.

I like the thorough feature set that Veeam provides. it does everything we need it to while being straightforward and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a straightforward way to stream backups to an AWS S3 bucket. This is understandably difficult, and more an issue with the AWS platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are backing up our data and virtual machines to provide the ability to restore data in the event of a catastrophic event or cyber attack.

Veeam is powerful enough to do the job well, and simple enough to make administration simplistic and easy.
It has changed the way Backups were implemented.

Very easy to setup and implement, reliable, robust. minimum backup restoration time. high availability. lower cost, very easier to manage and administrator.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing much to dislike, one improvement area in my opinion is reporting, although sufficient for our needs, it could be better.

What do you like best about the product?
This amazing application is providing me immense support in different ways that includes it’s salability that is making it preferable to be used in any type of organization whether it’s of smaller or larger size. Moreover, this product has variety of features that are simple to be used as a web based tool that can be effective enough to provide all the missing files and also to make useful backups of files.Moving forward this application this application has a beautiful interface that is easy to mange and also quite understandable for the new users. Last but not the least it is efficient enough to move documents from one place to another according to my desire. What do you dislike about the product?
Every feature in this particular product is making my experience good and useful but sometimes while opening this application I found some troubling in the start because it takes too much time in opening. But, it’s not that much offensive to be called as its drawback because it can be due to low network connectivity. Therefore, this product is a must have in any sort of organization whether they are of small size or even larger due to its utmost functionality.

Veeam Availability Suite is a reputable product that makes the data availability and protection service for businesses and individuals as well on a certain level that can be achieved easily. Moreover, this application provides solutions that simplify the management of my backup storage that enhances my working abilities. Moreover, this product has a lot of backup creating tools that are efficient enough to make ultra-fast backups from the leading storage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would love to suggest it to everyone who is in need of such software because it’s a relatively way of creating backups for the data. Also, for me this application is a huge savior in terms of having a safe and secure place for each and every type of database that is essential enough. Thus, it’s a great intuitive for making constructive backups of all the desired documents at every stage.
One of the best solutions to use for your modern backups
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is easy to use and maintain. It is very simple to setup without too many components, backups can be moved easily (in case you want to move them off-site) and it is very fast due to direct integration with storage vendors. The option to protect physical devices is a very big plus. Veeam listens to the customer although it can take quite some time before requested features are added to the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing structure is very unclear. As a customer we are struggling with the amount of options, resellers and pricing. Overall it is unclear what is the most efficient option for you. Nearing the end of your contract you are continuously chased by sales representatives to renew your contract. These representatives constantly change and there is always pressure (your contract is going to be more expensive) which can be tiresome at times.
Veeam has a tight integration with VMware, but when Vmware releases a new version it really takes quite a lot of time before Veeam supports it, usually with the first new version being buggy as well.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to solve the possible loss of data. VM's and data (both on-premises and cloud) are protected, varying from accidental deletion to recovery of bare-metal VM's. Since the recent ransomware attacks on Dutch universities, we are looking into ransomware-safe backup solutions as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can be very difficult for organizations to look beyond their existing backup solutions. Many of those are old or extended based upon legacy technology. Veeam started from scratch years ago so it is relatively young.
Backup and restore operations are now very easy.
What do you like best about the product?
We take the backups of our virtual servers in our Vmvare Center online via Vcenter. Veeam Backup and Restore application is very successful. If you have a virtual environment, be sure to choose.

You have to get the licensing model as a CPU core. It was previously socket based.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The config files were accidentally deleted on our prod windows virtual server. We did the restoration in as short as 5 minutes.
Straight-forward and exhaustive backup and replication management system
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of configuration, data compression on the fly and data compression rate.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no High Availability option currently, it depends only on the Veeam Configuration Database replication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a comprehensive solution for backup management, on-site and off-site for our physical and virtual IT Infrastructure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use, like the ability to do also copy jobs from Veeam Backup and Replication Console, good integration with Tape Servers.
