Centreon: Save time and achieve efficient monitoring with advanced features

What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to its advanced mapping features and its numerous monitoring connectors, Centreon truly saves us valuable time and offers us the ability to effectively monitor a heterogeneous information system: from "small" hardware to specific probes for a database, for example.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative point concerns Centreon's change in strategy regarding its licensing model, which now operates per probe rather than per host. In our situation, this proves to be quite restrictive, as some of our hosts only have a single probe, such as ping, for example. Fortunately, we were able to reach a satisfactory compromise with the sales team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centreon allows centralizing all monitoring data within a single console, thus offering instant visibility on the information system, incidents, and their level of criticality. Thanks to monitoring connectors, one benefits from a considerable time saving and increased reliability. This also frees up time to focus on higher value-added tasks. Finally, monitoring dashboards and specific maps can be easily shared with teams, which improves collaboration and tracking.

What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate the centralized vision of the infrastructure, which allows for effective supervision of servers, networks, and applications.

The richness of plugins and the ability to customize checks make it easier to adapt to complex environments.

Real-time alerts and configurable notifications enable a quick response to incidents.

I always encounter an error message when I access my custom Maps. API Error

It allows for the quick detection of failures and service degradations. It reduces incident resolution time through proactive alerts.

Exceptional flexibility and interoperability with Centreon

What do you like best about the product?
What is appreciable about Centreon is the ability to have monitoring probes based on provided templates and/or to create our own monitoring scripts. This gives the product great flexibility. There are numerous API tools that allow for easy interoperability with other solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up Centreon in high availability (HA) mode can be a technical challenge. Fortunately, the support team, particularly competent, assists us effectively to ensure a robust and permanently available monitoring infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centreon allows us to centralize and automate the monitoring of our entire IT infrastructure (servers, networks, applications, databases, etc.). It addresses several key issues:

Complete visibility: it offers a unified view of the status and performance of all components, avoiding blind spots in monitoring.

Proactive incident detection: thanks to configurable probes and alerts, anomalies are identified before they impact users or services.

Reduction of diagnostic time: dashboards and reports facilitate cause analysis and speed up resolution.

Interoperability: numerous APIs allow Centreon to integrate with other tools (ITSM, automation, reporting), streamlining processes.

High availability: in HA mode, monitoring remains operational even in the event of a node failure, ensuring service continuity.

Benefits for us:

Improvement in the reliability and availability of IT services.

What do you like best about the product?
very useful tool to monitor your infrastructure, reliable, easy to use, and now that it is included in an observability platform including a log manager and a DEM tool, it is very useful to ensure that your business is always ready for new challenges
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes the upgrade to a new version can create issues but usually it is quickly fixed by the support team

Centreon helps us to have an infrastructure always up and running to respect our SLA and enables us to deliver the best availability and performance to our business

What do you like best about the product?
- Business Activities, Map.
- Very good Graph and insight of Monitoring Data.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Limitation on Dashboard
- Jira integration is a disaster, we are facing a lot of issues with Jira Ticketing (Duplicated Tickets, System is not creating Tickets for all Alerts)
- Reporting are not always visible, a lot of difficulties of adjusting a Report.
- Lot of System Coding from the Centreon Administrator is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Show Basic Alerts on Resources Services which will allow us to be more proactiv.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is efficient and reliable for monitoring even complex infrastructure. The plugin catalog is very practical and allows you to avoid wasting time developing your own commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
A sometimes significant complexity for those who do not know its internal workings. This limits the use by insufficiently technical staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows to know in real time the state of our IT system. Coupled with good mapping, this allows to control production impacts.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clean and easy to navigate, even for non-technical users. You can monitor large-scale environments with minimal friction
What do you dislike about the product?
While installation is relatively easy, populating the system with meaningful objects (hosts, services) can be time-consuming without automation tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pre-configured templates and a dedicated data warehouse make KPI reporting straightforward.
