I like Centreon a lot
What do you like best about the product?
Centreon is a great monitoring solution, with multiple ways to monitor endpoints. It is easy to use and implement and has a lot of integrations by default.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some plugins don't work like expected, and therefor i'm unable to monitor some devices i would like to monitor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring uptime and performance of our infrastructure.

Ease of use, robust, flexible, and scalable solution. Auto-discovery, Monitors on-prem and cloud resources. Hitorical graphs

So far, I don't have many negatives to think about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementing Centreon, our infrastructure had no centralized monitoring solution. We were relying on manual checks, reactive troubleshooting, and fragmented logs — which made identifying and resolving issues both time-consuming and inefficient.
We selected Centreon after a thorough evaluation, and it quickly proved to be the missing piece in our operations. It provided immediate visibility into the health of our on-prem infrastructure — including servers, network devices, storage systems, and critical services.
What convinced us was Centreon’s ability to deploy rapidly, integrate easily with SNMP and custom plugins, and deliver real-time, actionable dashboards. It gave our team a clear view of the entire estate, significantly reducing blind spots and alerting us to issues before they impacted users.
With no monitoring previously in place, Centreon brought structure and confidence to our IT operations. Its intuitive interface, powerful alerting system, and extensive customization options allowed us to adapt the platform to our exact needs. The team quickly adopted it and praised how easy it was to use and extend.
Today, Centreon is the foundation of our monitoring strategy, and it’s hard to imagine operating without it. What do you like best about the product?
Excellent monitoring solution, multiple connectors, and a great map. For those using the open-source version, it is also great, and if you like tinkering, you will have fun.

The limitation of the free version if you are not a professional.

Centreon allows us to have a view of all the equipment in the infrastructure. Get alerts in case of problems and even prevent cases of failure (overload, blackout, and others).
A tool rich in possibilities if one makes the effort
What do you like best about the product?
Centreon has a very large catalog of ready-to-use plugins, which greatly speeds up the monitoring setup. Additionally, these plugins are open-source and can be modified as desired. Furthermore, once you understand the principle of commands/templates/macros, it is quite simple to set up your own monitoring scripts to enhance or complement the existing ones. With the broker modules, it is also possible to connect Centreon to other tools in our infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The application's architecture is a bit indigestible, especially for someone who is discovering the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For clients with the license, the BAM and MAP combo allows for the creation of high-level views that are easily understandable for non-technical positions. The autodiscovery module is quite practical, it's a pity that creating an autodiscovery module for hosts is not possible (at least not without tinkering).
