A complete solution, but we are far from easy and quick supervision without command line.

What do you like best about the product?
Once configured, the solution works well and is very comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation is sometimes unreliable. The menus and navigation are not very intuitive. There are some display bugs (menus that remain displayed, pages that crash). It remains long and difficult to supervise things that were not designed by Centreon and therefore are not in the plugins. Some checks that take 5 minutes to configure on solutions like INM take hours on Centreon. (example: raising critical alerts based on the event ID of a Windows server).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a monitoring solution, so it supervises and sends emails and SMS when it becomes critical.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is efficient and reliable for monitoring even complex infrastructure. The plugin catalog is very practical and allows you to avoid wasting time developing your own commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
A sometimes significant complexity for those who do not know its internal workings. This limits the use by insufficiently technical staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows to know in real time the state of our IT system. Coupled with good mapping, this allows to control production impacts.

We have the free version and we are limited to 100 machines. But I understand that.

Centreon helps me a lot to prepare to take the step of anticipation.

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent monitoring solution, multiple connectors, and a great map. For those using the open-source version, it is also great, and if you enjoy tinkering, you will have fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitation of the free version if you are not a professional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centreon allows us to have a view of all the equipment in the infrastructure. Receive alerts in case of problems and even prevent cases of failure (overload, blackout, and others).

What do you like best about the product?
Centreon has a very large catalog of ready-to-use plugins, which greatly speeds up the monitoring setup. Additionally, these plugins are open-source and can be modified as desired. Furthermore, once you understand the principle of commands/models/macros, it is quite simple to set up your own monitoring scripts to enrich or complement the existing ones. With the broker modules, it is also possible to connect Centreon to other tools in our infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The application's architecture is somewhat indigestible, especially for someone who is discovering the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For clients with the license, the BAM and MAP combo allows for the creation of high-level views that are easily understandable for non-technical positions. The autodiscovery module is quite practical, it's a pity that creating an autodiscovery module for hosts is not possible (at least not without tinkering).

Infrastructure not straightforward (central, remote, and poller) not always up to our expectations.

What do you like best about the product?
Centreon offers us a clear and comprehensive interface for monitoring our infrastructure (servers, network equipment, photocopiers, websites, etc.). The dashboards (customizable) provide good visibility on the state of our IT system. Additionally, the large number of plugins facilitates integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting started can be a bit complex, especially for users who are not familiar with monitoring tools, but support is available in case of questions. Nevertheless, once the product is well configured, it remains stable and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centreon allows us to be very responsive to breakdowns and incidents, and to anticipate certain avoidable events (disk space, printing supplies, etc...).

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of configuring hosts and services thanks to the plugin and auto-discovery.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes features that no longer work during minor or major updates. But fortunately restored in subsequent patches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anomaly detection and notification. Metric production. Business and application monitoring. SLA control. And production of application and infrastructure availability reports.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of plugin configuration and fairly quick implementation (for the central part + poller)
The number of devices you can monitor
Good alert management

No native connection to AD
No vault to store passwords (they are in plain text in the scripts)
A deployment of all modules (Map, Ban, poller, central, ...) quite complicated
An unclear version upgrade procedure
A support that is not very responsive and quite weak in analysis
