Excellent visualisation tool that can natively embed in Salesforce.
What do you like best about the product?
What I find most helpful about the tool is the ability to embed analytics components directly on records within Salesforce itself. Power BI and other tools are not so easy to embed directly on records.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring components can be a challenge as so much of the functionality relies on a code heavy approach rather than clicks. Each release this has improved. I would still like to see further progress of "clicks not code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Tableau CRM mainly for high level dashboarding to aid in executive level activities such as forecasting, demand gen analysis, and other activities looking across the business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your company is a Salesforce forward company and drive experiencing most aspects of the business through Salesforce, I believe Tableau CRM is the best tool for the job. If you are merely looking at it as a data visualisation tool, there are other options out there such as PowerBI, etc, but Tableau CRM shines in its ability to embed within Salesforce and easily consume Salesforce data.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau CRM is Salesforce business intelligence tool used for reporting purposes, with great GUI experience and drag and drops functionality. Currently, it's being used as a business and analytics team for marketing and sales teams. If you have Salesforce as a CRM tool and you want to do CRM reporting, then Tableau CRM is the best solution. It has a better GUI than any other existing reporting tool; you can build really eye-catching dashboards using Tableau CRM. Also, as its Salesforce tool so it would provide additional functionality to open quotes or order from dashboard to CRM tool directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connection to other Sources such as SAP missing.
Different types of joins such as inner full outer missing.
Complex logic and snapshot creation kind of logic are not possible.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau CRM is perfect reporting tool if you want to do sales/service/marketing reporting and your data source is Salesforce. Salesforce connectivity and data refresh are straightforward and also very quick. But in case you want to pull the data from other data sources, then it isn't very easy to build a dashboard. Also, you can not write very complex logic such as snapshot creation, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau CRM is a good reporting tool, but it's limited to salesforce data mainly. Also, there are many limitations to performing complex calculations. If your perfect data model is ready in salesforce, it's a good tool for reporting. Else, it's an average tool. Please first understand your business need then go for implementation.

Tableau reports actually looking on the boring side.. visually enticing designing could've made the product much better

Sometimes server doesn't respond and reports can't be opened

Best Visualization and Analytics Application
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau provides the best features to visualize and analyze the dataset. It consists of different graphs, charts, plots, and maps that can be implemented in our dataset in a few clicks. The best part about it is that it accepts multiple files types for visualizing the datasets. You can connect the Tableau desktop to the server to import data from the server. It provides a premium experience to the user working with the dataset.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are lots of features in tableau so, you will need devote time to master it. It is very tough to work with Tableau for the newcomers. One demerit of Tableau is that there is no functionality for data extraction and preprocessing of the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Tableau to create a unique dashboard of the dataset. And I am using Tableau to generate and analyze data reports. Its advanced visualization tool gives a clear view and insight into the data. And to find the most valuable aspect in our record.

Sometimes it can be hard to merge tables

Decent web alternative for Tableau Desktop
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is similar to Tableau Desktop, so it gets pretty easy to transition from desktop to server.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionalities like data source blending, addition, etc. are absent from Tableau server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's pretty easy to modify report in the server end of Tableau which i greatly appreciate as Power BI lacks that functionality. So, most times I prefer Tableau over Power BI.

Tableau Desktop enables us to connect to our various data streams within the company. Its best feature is its ability to link data from multiple sources together in meaningful ways. It is cloud-based, which makes it simple to add new plugins. Organizing and scalability are simplified. Tableau Desktop is essential to use data visualization to analyze our business performance and help it meet its objectives. Excel reports offer a data summary to make visuals for presentations and sales reporting more efficient. With these features, we can create a data-driven presentation. It provides the ability to convert between different formats and supports multiple data sources. We can use identical data sources to create multiple sheets, such as Amazon Redshift/Google Sheets.

Data prep and data cleaning features, Custom formatting options, date functions.Also,It is strictly a visualization tool, hence no data preprocessing is possible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau Desktop is a critical piece in support of our Customer Success department and across the entire organization. Tableau Desktop allows clear, concise, and valuable visualization of our massive data sets. Our many dashboards provide tables, charts, and graphs to track customer interactions, sales, and support. Some of our dashboards are even used to predict customer churn, acceptance, and retention.
Perfect software to visualise data
What do you like best about the product?
From cleaning data to making it visualized can be done on Tableau. It is one of the best BI software used so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes if I lose an excel datasheet, I have to create a new one manually. But it can be overcome by using Google sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing the data for reports presenting it to the concerned authorities are some usage of Tableau.

I like that it is a lot more potent than regular SFDC reporting. It gives you the flexibility to create something visually pleasing and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a need for more types of charts, and there is very little documentation on technical aspects. Plus, it is not as powerful as Tableau

It allows you to join multiple objects that are not possible in SFDC CRM. Also, we have created custom dashboards for KPIs tracking and have started using Discovery

It is best to use Tableau CRM to enhance the workflow inside SFDC. So you users will be more effective.
Tableau good for data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
I love that there are so many ways to filter my data, connect to data sources and come up with several data visualizations. The formatting features are perfect, and it is easy to get the visualization in the format I require. It is better than Google Data Lab as this is a paid product and allows for flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a deterrent, which makes it an issue. The filter feature is good but could do with a more accessible menu. There is also the issue of the UI taking some time to get used to. It is not that intuitive as it requires time to get used to the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like to create data visualizations out of the datasets I have. Tableau allows me to use them for storytelling and makes it easier for the intended audience to understand what it is all about. It also provides for creating good reports and makes them easy to comprehend. I love that I get good insights from the data, which helps me understand the scenario better.
