Insightful and an easy way to grasp information
What do you like best about the product?
I like Tableau because it makes it easier to grasp information and easily examine the information in a visually pleasing manner. It makes the data easy to grasp and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Tableau is the manual effort that has to be put into updating the information. Also, it can be difficult for users who do no have backgroud of working with data as daw data can be difficult to understand as it needs preparation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making organizations to be more data driven and the tool is also making it easier to manage information/data in order to share insights. It helps to turn data into valueable insights.
A Powerful Tool that Requires Expertise to Implement
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is powerful - you can take almost any type of data and create impactful visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau is not easy to learn - the learning curve is steep and takes time. Things that should be straightforward can take hours of research or trail-and-error to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data into people's hands in a way that allows them to ask their own questions and dig into the data. We know our end users are more frequently looking at data after new data dashboards go live.
Tableau best analytical tool
What do you like best about the product?
There are many charts that provides insightful information which are missing in other tool like Qlik.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Data processing power is not that good means the ETL process if need cannot be done in tableau. Like writing complex logics. Which is possible in Qlik
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides good reporting which helps in monthly activity. Also provides good analysis which helps in taking better decisions
A great Visualization Tool - Tableu
What do you like best about the product?
We utilize tableau as a data exploration tool. We also prepare data reports using it which can be presented to the organization. It is very good at exploration. We can build outstanding visualizations using Tableau. The user interface is very easy to use and has drag and drop feature which makes it very intuitive. It also has abilities to analyze trends which is useful for us in designing our marketing strategies.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not allow us to customize the look and feel of the output from the analysis. The cost of the software is also very high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau is very good in producing very good visualizations and dashboards. It allows us to analyze our spending data, the throughput and plan our future marketing strategies.
Great visualization tool for managing big data
What do you like best about the product?
We used Tableau to manage the massive amount of data that we had our ecomm startup - it was the best way to visualize and manage the amount of data that we had available
What do you dislike about the product?
You need a strong analytics team to set it up properly and to manage all of the inputs - not quite a drag n drop easy situation to get everything ready to go for the entire org
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to better understand our sales trends, our customers, our products, and how each of those elements interacted with one another over time. We had thousands of customers and 5000+ products so this was a lot of data
One of the most popular visualisation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau provides very easy to use interface with stunning colours and customisable layout. It also has very nice options like Sheets, Dashboards or Storyline based on the use. Tableau has a great user community and there are many resources available online. One can create any possible visualisation directly or indirectly by following the community posts or YouTube videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
When connected with Server for data, Tableau Desktop keeps on popping up annoying message to connect with the dataset just after a short inactivity. It is sometimes not possible to work on Tableau Desktop when there are many Datasets joined. The workaround is to close the window and restart again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a great platform to automate the Dashboarding which otherwise could be done in Excel. It is saving many hours for my team who used to refreshed the excel Dashboards at fixed cadence previously.
Great tool with a long learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Is a fantastic tool for describing data and creating nice graphs. The basic concept (for beginners) It's easy to use and provides a range of options for visualizing data in a clear and meaningful way. With Tableau, users can quickly and easily explore their data to identify patterns and trends, and then create customized graphs and charts to communicate their findings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality of the exported images is not great. If you want to use the graphs from Tableau, you need to use additional software to improve the quality for publication. The learning curve for data manipulation is huge; people with short time might be unable to learn how to do calculation fields, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating fast graphs and getting some ideas on the distribution of the data. It gives me some inspiration for creating nice visualizations and data analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau makes data visualizations very easy. We use it to produce our sales deliverables and drive new business
What do you dislike about the product?
The load times on complex workbooks can be very long. Often i will lose updates if i don't save frequently as tableau will refresh randomly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We produce savings analysis reports for our sales team. We also use tableau to produce quarterly business reports for current clients.
Tableau is great for Power Users, but not the best option for End User 'self service'
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a robust analytics solution that integrates well within the Enterprise and can connect to numerous data sources. Deploying content from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server is a straightforward process, and the web interface of Tableau Server does offer some edit capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workbook authoring process allows for creating very sophisticated reports; the issue is that it can be very daunting for end users to develop their analyses to answer ad-hoc questions. There are easier-to-use end-user solutions if self-service is a huge requirement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau allows us to visualize data coming from various systems, like databases and CRM, and meaningfully present the data to end users. The embeddability of Tableau enables the Tableau content to be accessed through our Analytics Catalog which serves as the way that our users access all analytics.
Best free tool for your data visualization!
What do you like best about the product?
Even if you do not have any technical programming knowledge still you can learn/use Tableau for your projects, it's user-friendly and easy to use, which makes it stand out!
What do you dislike about the product?
Well it gives you 14 days trial but could have been extended for 21 or more days for the new users cz the subscription is quite costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data visualization is the best part of it since it can handle a large amount of data easily, you can create multiple dashboards with graphs and all sorts of visualizations.
